Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 243 Homecoming

"Also tell leader Lewis that there are intruders here. Only he can defeat them," said the man, the other members nodded as they walked away.

The situation turned tense, not one, but 10 members of the Shadow Ruler appeared where Aaron had arrived. They aimed their attacks forward, each one a talent attack.

Aaron sent a speck of purple light above his head. With a small explosion, a purple-colored protective dome appeared in that place to protect Aaron and Aerith.

"It seems they don't recognize you. That's too bad," Aerith said, Aaron chuckling at her words.

"It's only natural for me since only a few of the Shadow Ruler members know about my identity. I was just testing their abilities," Aaron replied.

"Then what do you think?"

"They're still too weak," Aaron explained.

Not long after, a group of members from the 25th Sky Sword flew near the village where the Shadow Ruler lived.

Eloise and Emily came along with the other members. They were seen hovering using their servant abilities.

The woman beside Emily squinted her eyes, curious about the power emerging from inside the purple dome.

They couldn't be sure if it was Aaron and Aerith, that was because they weren't familiar with their magic aura.

"Stop!" commanded Eloise, telling all Shadow Ruler members to stop attacking.

From inside the headquarters building, Lewis' figure appeared, complete with the Shadow Ruler's signature purple-patterned black uniform. He ordered the members to step back away from the purple dome.

Lewis realized who the person behind the dome was, because he and Aaron shared a look with each other. Lewis realized that Aaron was in Lilith City after his presence through the dimensional crack.

"Don't be so rigid, sir. We won't threaten you anymore," Lewis explained, stepping forward until he was directly in front of the purple dome.

Aaron heard Lewis' voice. He swung his right hand sideways, fading the purple dome that had been protecting them.

Slowly, the purple light disappeared from the top of the purple dome, Aaron and Aerith's figures were visible to everyone.

Eloise was shocked, as was Emily. Both of them never thought that they could see Aaron again. However, they didn't know the reason for Aaron coming to Lilith City again.

"Aaron?" greeted Eloise, flying low followed by Emily who was still in the posture of a teenager.

Aaron turned his head and smiled, greeted Eloise and stroked Emily's hair. The two exchanged news, there were many things that Eloise wanted to tell Aaron, either about Emily or Shadow Ruler.

"About the intergroup tournament, Shadow Ruler made it through the round-"

"They were stopped in the semifinals. Am I right?" interrupted Aaron, making Eloise startle.

"That's right. Lewis lost to the White Elephant group," Eloise explained.

'I told him to lose. It was useful to avoid suspicion,' Aaron explained.

'Shadow Ruler is a low rank group after all. Reaching the semifinal stage is already their best achievement,' Aaron pointed out.

"It's unfortunate. However, I'm still proud of Shadow Ruler's accomplishments," Aaron emphasized.

The Shadow Ruler members started talking about Aaron. Leader Lewis had once said that the Shadow Ruler had two honorary members, they were on a monster raid upstairs.

The members only realized that the honorary members in question were Aaron and Aerith. Their abilities were at least on par with the people on the 50th floor.

Eloise again asked about the progress of Emily's anti-curse potion. Aaron unhesitatingly showed the Volcano Core Gem that was successfully obtained, the gem was glowing bright red and kept floating above Aaron's palm.

"I only managed to get one material. There are three materials left that I haven't gotten yet. Apparently, I need time to get the remaining materials," Aaron said.

The woman in front of Aaron nodded. She was quite satisfied with Aaron's achievement, even though Eloise had previously felt pessimistic about the existence of the four materials.

But something happened that surprised the woman. Aaron came with the Volcano Essence Gem material.

Eloise wasn't going to ask how Aaron got it, as it would be difficult and beyond their imagination.

The most important thing right now was that Aaron and Aerith managed to obtain the material. For the rest, they would entrust the remaining three materials to those two people.

"You getting the Volcano Essence Gem is good too. I'm glad to hear that," Eloise explained.

Aaron said that he would keep the gem, as he needed to concoct it into an anti-curse potion.

Eloise didn't mind, after all, the material wasn't very useful to her if she didn't know what it was used for.

Lewis stepped closer to Aaron, shaking his real body's hand. Aaron just nodded, satisfied with Lewis' performance.

He invited Aaron, Aerith, Eloise, and Emily to enter the Shadow Ruler's headquarters. The four of them didn't mind, Eloise told the other members of Sky Sword 25th to return to the headquarters as there was no dangerous situation in this place.

They stepped inside and chatted in the living room. Eloise asked a lot of questions about Aaron and Aerith's monster raid trip.

Aaron explained some small things, as there weren't many things that Eloise needed to know. Most importantly, she had to know that Aaron had reached the 50th floor.

"The 50th floor? Isn't that Noah City?" asked Eloise, Aaron nodded.

"That said, the average mage tier in that place are Great Sages and Great Wizards. Only a few of them reach the Venerable Sage stage," Aaron explained.

"So, you're getting a mage on par with you. Am I right?" asked Eloise, Aaron cleared his throat, nodding.

"Then, why did you come back to the 25th floor?" asked Eloise.

Aaron told her the situation that happened in Noah's city. Eloise and Emily listened carefully.

He explained that Noah City was in a dangerous situation, a major war was likely to occur involving the three main groups against the Dark Legion.

"What?! Dark Legion?"

"That's right. They conducted an operation called Shadowless Killer to spread terror in the city. The three main groups are working together to stop the terror," Aaron said.

"The battle there must be big, considering their high mage tier," said Eloise.

Aaron nodded in agreement with what Eloise said. The battle there could be terrible and devastating, but what can it be.

Aaron couldn't do much because his capabilities were only ordinary mages and not members of the three main groups.

"That's right. To prevent getting involved with their affairs, I chose to return to this place for a day or two," Aaron replied.

"That makes sense. That fight isn't something you can handle alone, it's a different story from the big fight on the 10th floor," Eloise interjected.@@novelbin@@

A member walked up to Aaron, coming with a tray of teapots and glasses. Aaron glanced to the side, feeling an aura of purple light emanating from the member's body.

'Purple light is emanating from his body. Is it possible that he has the element of darkness?' Aaron asked.

Lewis looked at Aaron, then nodded slowly in response to what Aaron was thinking. However, from the magic aura radiating, he didn't seem to be having any difficulty with his dark element.

They chatted a lot with each other. Eloise explained that the Shadow Ruler's prestige was already well-known among the other groups.

The Shadow Ruler's power was already on par with the middle group.

Aaron agreed, proud of the current achievement. However, the middle group was not the goal of the Shadow Ruler, but the high-level group.

He realized that reaching that stage required a lot of time and effort. Aaron didn't want to rush Shadow Ruler's achievements.

The meeting was over. Eloise and Emily said goodbye to leave the place after being satisfied with Aaron's presence in this place. Aaron escorted their departure to the front gate of the Shadow Ruler headquarters.

"I want to sleep. Do you have a place for us?" asked Aerith, sleepy.

"We have many empty rooms."

"Just one room. I'll sleep with her tonight," Aaron explained.

Lewis nodded. He escorted them to the second floor, where empty rooms were available for occupation. The situation was normal and conducive in that place.

They arrived at the room, it was nicely furnished and the room area looked neat. Aaron was impressed with all that, he also thanked Lewis.

The door to the room closed. Aerith was seen immediately laying down on the bed, while Aaron was stretching his body from soreness.

"I didn't expect them all to welcome us back here," Aerith said, sleeping on her back.

"That's right. This is our home after all. We're safe here," Aaron said.

"Then what about your ambition to destroy the Night Liberators?" asked Aerith.

Aaron was silent. Since his arrival in Noah City, he saw firsthand the mage tier abilities of the Night Liberators members. In his opinion, it would be unwise for him to attack with his current strength.

"I'd better wait a little longer until I can really defeat them," Aaron explained.

"Wait until you become the Dark Ruler?" asked Aerith.

"Maybe."
