Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 245 Ring of Darkness

Aaron's eyes were closed to allow his soul to be sent into his subconscious. Aerith turned her head and saw Aaron standing with his eyes closed, Eloise was confused by Aaron's behavior.

"What is he doing?" asked Eloise.

Aerith shook her head. She knew that Aaron must be having a conversation with Dark Azazel's memories.

However, because of the nature of Dark Azazel, which was pure evil, Aerith could not carelessly tell anyone about it. Discover stories at My Virtual Library Empire

"I don't know. It's better if we just entrust everything to him," Aerith replied.

In Aaron's subconscious, the man slowly walked into the chained black palace where Dark Azazel was shackled. The palace door opened, Aaron stepped back into the hall that was flooded with the black liquid.

From the end of the hall, he saw the figure of Dark Azazel sitting on his throne, his head fixed forward with his two red eyes meeting Aaron's directly.

"Welcome, Aaron," Azazel said.@@novelbin@@

"Tell me, what is the name of the curse that befell Emily?" asked Aaron, without preamble with Dark Azazel.

"Didn't I already tell you. I'll only tell you everything if you remove one shackle on my right leg."

Aaron's attention was riveted towards Azazel's right leg, tightly shackled by a strong black chain. Azazel could not remove the shackles by himself, but rather he needed Aaron's help to do so.

"If you don't do it soon, the torment will get stronger. If the woman can't withstand the torture, she could die quickly," Azazel explained.

The man didn't really want to do this. Removing Azazel's shackles made Dark Azazel's path to control Aaron's body even wider.

Out of a total of 5 shackles, two shackles on his hands had been removed.

Only his legs and neck were not yet. However, Aaron also realized that he would get additional darkness power if he removed Azazel's shackles again.

Staying where he was for a long time, Aaron stepped forward and lifted his feet from the black puddle. As time went on, Aaron's distance from Azazel grew closer until the man's position was completely in front of Azazel.

"Good. Now, remove those shackles. That way, I can help you," Azazel explained, softly.

"Even if I remove these shackles, I'll never let you have control of my entire body," Aaron retorted.

"Whatever. In the end, you will still need my power to achieve your ambitions."

Aaron squatted in front of Azazel, he reached forward and removed the chain shackles that had confined Azazel in Aaron's subconscious for years.

Right after the chain shackles came off, a strong wave of dark magic energy blew out in black color which was quite shocking to Aaron.

The man was forced to raise his hands to protect his body from any magical threat, especially because the boom of Azazel's dark magic was quite powerful as it belonged to the category of god-level dark magic.

Azazel was able to stand up, although one of his left legs was still shackled. He tried to stretch his hand forward, to strangle Aaron. However, Aaron managed to act quickly and avoid Azazel's hand movements.

"What are you doing, dammit?!" snapped Aaron.

"Calm down. I just wanted to pat you on the shoulder and thank you. I've never felt this free before," said Azazel.

"As agreed. Tell me what the curse is and how to overcome it? How do I stop the torment of the curse," Aaron asked.

"The curse is called the Dark Curse of Star Destroyer, originating from Visiri. The only way to activate it is by sacrificing the entire mage level, it is very difficult to remove," replied Azazel.

"The material you're looking for is a way to stop the curse. Aerith the traitor knows a lot about this curse," Azazel replied.

'Aerith the traitor? What does he mean?" Aaron asked.

Not only that, Azazel also told Aaron how to stop the torment of the curse that befell Emily.

Aaron could use the power of the ring of darkness to stop the torment, without being able to destroy the curse.

"Ring of Darkness?" Aaron asked.

"One of the five rings on your left hand. You should know because you used that power when you destroyed a city."

Aaron remembered that because he had used that power before. However, he didn't know the effectiveness of the power of the ring of darkness. Well, he tried that power before doing it to Emily.

He brought up the five elemental rings in his hand, surprising Azazel. Aaron pointed his hand forward, striking Azazel by relying on the power of darkness.

Azazel flinched, but not enough to make him move his hand. The difference in the power of the two seemed to overlap, the power of darkness from Aaron's elemental rings was blocked by Azazel's eternal protective dome.

"The power of the elemental ring is so strong. You won't be able to hurt me, but you can kill millions of people with that power," Azazel replied.

"Will I be able to restore Emily with this?"

"That is determined by you, how well you control the dark power of the elemental ring."

"If you win, she survives. However, if you lose, she will die."

"WHAT?!" cried Aaron.

"Good fight, Aaron."

Azazel raised his hand and snapped his fingers. This made Aaron's body bounce far enough to get out of Azazel's black palace.

Even so, Aaron was completely unharmed because it was his subconscious, not reality. Having no more time, Aaron sent his soul back to his consciousness.

He opened his eyes and saw that all attention was focused on him. Aerith asked about the possibility of Azazel asking Aaron, Aaron nodded. He explained that Aaron's meeting with Azazel resulted in an agreement.

"I'll explain it in more detail to you later."

"For now, it's better for me to heal Emily's condition," Aaron explained.

He walked over to Emily's bed. Aaron ordered the servants to leave, including Eloise and Aldo.

At first, Eloise refused because she wanted to know Emily's condition firsthand, but Aldo tried to calm Eloise down.

"There's probably a reason why he asked us to leave. He doesn't want his healing methods to become public knowledge," Aldo explained.

"Thank you for your understanding, Aldo."

"You're welcome. Do your best for Ms Emily," Aldo pleaded, Aaron nodded with a promise to stick to his word.

Now, the situation in Emily's room was empty, with only Aaron, Aerith, and Emily. Aaron squatted down while both hands grasped Emily's hand, trying to calm her down.

"A... Aaron."

"Don't worry, Emily. I'll save you," Aaron said, gently stroking Emily's hair.

Emily responded with a brief nod, fully trusting in Aaron's abilities. Aaron got back to his feet, asking Aerith to do something.

"I will use the power of Dark Azazel. It will probably invite great rumblings and magic fluctuations," Aaron explained, looking back and aiming at the window of the room.

"I understand, I will protect this place. Be careful, Aaron."

Aaron nodded. In the blink of an eye, Aerith's figure disappeared from Emily's room and was seen floating at the top of the Sky Sword 25th headquarters.

The figure of the woman in the mysterious black dress in the sky of the headquarters drew the attention of many people, including Eloise.

Eloise and Aldo heard a mysterious woman flying above the headquarters sky. Quickly, the two of them went outside the headquarters building and saw the figure of the woman, which turned out to be Aerith.

"What are you doing?" asked Eloise.

A maroon magic ball appeared in Aerith's palm, then she let the ball float above her and created a maroon colored protective dome, enough to protect the entire headquarters area.

All the Sky Sword members were shocked, they had never seen anything like this before. Eloise squinted, curious about what Aaron and Aerith were about to do.

"Dark magic is really mysterious," Aldo explained.

"I agree with you. Those two are really mysterious," Eloise added.

From Aaron's left hand, he brought forth five elemental rings with black armor formed floating above his left hand.

The power of the five elements gathered in each ring, but Aaron would only concentrate all his magic into the ring of darkness.

As Aaron predicted, a rumble of black magic appeared covering the sky from the Sky Sword 25th headquarters. The townspeople saw it, including Jovanni and Max.

"What happened to the Sky Sword?" Max asked the Night Liberators.

Elsewhere, Jovani ordered the Dimension Justice members to strengthen their ranks. Jovanni also flew close to Sky Sword's headquarters to get a closer look.

In Emily's room. Aaron had gathered quite a lot of energy. He pointed his hand forward with the power of black darkness into Emily's body.

Emily screamed and groaned in pain, the unimaginable pain was like being stabbed by thousands of rusty swords.

Aerith looked up at the sky, the intensity of the rumbling magic had increased dramatically, a sign that Emily's healing with Azazel's dark magic method had been carried out.

Surprisingly, a pillar of black energy tried to break through the walls of the pinnacle dome, shocking many people to the point of spreading powerful magic pressure to the people inside the protective dome.

Everyone was bowed down, some even kneeling down due to the strong gravitational pressure. Aerith also felt the same way, Azazel's power was indeed beyond Aerith's ability.

"Hang in there, Emily. I will restore your condition."
