Chapter 285 285: Sky Sword vs Tower of Justice
Aaron looked ahead, the fight was fierce between them. The two groups were from different groups.
The group with red uniforms was the Blood Sword group, while the other group with yellow uniforms was the Heavenly Sun Group.
Since this was a group tournament, there were separate rules that the participants had to abide by.
Aaron had just arrived and hadn't had a chance to know the rules yet, fortunately Mia was willing to explain them to Aaron.
"Of the three people, they have to work together to guard the flag," Mia replied.
"Oh, I saw that flag," Aaron said.
"They are free to use any means to guard the flag and capture the enemy's flag, they can even use high-level magic to harm their enemies," Mia said.
"Within an hour, they have to fight for the flag. Whoever is the fastest wins," Mia replied.
"Then what if they fail to capture it in one hour?"
"They have to send someone from the group to have a 1vs1 match with the enemy. Whoever wins, will be the winner of this match."
Aaron nodded, at least he understood the basic rules of this tournament and how a winner was determined. He looked back to the front, it seemed that they were avoiding the 1vs1 moment.
However, for those with strong group members, they would probably choose to stay until the hour was over. That way, they could bet on a 1vs1 match.
They use all sorts of means to defend the flag and capture the enemy flag. Out of three people, one is assigned to guard the flag while the other two are tasked with attacking.
A common formation used by many groups, that's because it proved to be powerful and effective.
The cheers of the crowd grew louder, especially when the intensity of the battle increased dramatically. Aaron could see that the first match would probably end quickly.
Sure enough, half an hour passed and the Heaven's Sun group managed to capture the Blood Sword's flag.
The tournament referee came and announced that the Heavenly Suns had advanced to the semifinals of the big team tournament.
"Next up, the match we've all been waiting for, a battle between the group from Sky Sword and the group from the Tower of Justice," the referee replied, the boisterous voices coming clearly from the mouths of the spectators.
People looked up, pointing at the three participants who descended from the sky accompanied by Elder Kang. Aaron glanced in the same direction, he just saw the figures of Eloise, Emily, and Lewis.
"So, they've reached the quarterfinals," Aaron said.
The three landed gracefully in the arena, Elder Kang seemed to be saying something to them. Eloise, as the captain of the group, said yes to what the man said, an order and a suggestion.
Lewis turned his head back, looking towards the spectator row to stare at Aaron. Lewis already knew of Aaron's presence in the stands, Aaron had told him through the clone's telepathic abilities.
"Lewis?" asked Elder Kang, as Lewis reflexively looked forward.
"Did you understand what I said?" asked Elder Kang, sternly.
"I understand," Lewis replied briefly.
"Miss Elsa bet a lot on you. We may lose the individual tournament, but we have a chance to win the team tournament," Elder Kang replied.
"The members' abilities are quite high. You must be careful and not act rashly. Stay in touch with each other," Elder Kang said.
The three nodded. They were ready to focus on the tournament to advance to the semifinals. That way, Miss Elsa wouldn't be too disappointed in this big tournament.
On top of the main stand, Alfredo spoke sideways to Elsa.
"This is your only hope. I hope Dimension Justice and Sky Sword can meet in the finals," Alfredo replied.
"I hope so," Elsa replied.
"It won't be that easy, Miss Elsa. If your team wins, maybe the Night Liberators will host you first," Killian said.
"That's okay. I'm actually happy about that."
"It will help their development a lot."
The match started, bets were placed and now Aaron was in on the bet. The organizer brought a betting panel and asked Aaron to enter the amount of money he would bet.
[Betting Panel]
[Amount: 500,000 RL]
[Team: Sky Sword]
[Scan System Watch]
"Wh-What? 500,000 RL? Are you sure?" asked Mia.
"Sure, I never doubted their abilities."
Aaron pointed to his system watch and started scanning the money on it. The transaction was successful, Aaron's money was reduced by 500,000 RL.
The match began. The team members of the Tower of Justice immediately acted quickly, they activated the 12 constellations light formation, something new to Aaron when he saw it.
The formation was useful for increasing their abilities and giving nerfs to the enemy, especially in speed and atk. Eloise felt that the magic formation affected her and the other members quite a bit.
Emily was assigned as the one guarding the flag, while Lewis and Eloise would charge forward to capture the flag of the Justice Tower team.
'Use your magic eye, find the formation's eye to destroy it,' Aaron said.
'I understand,' explained Lewis.
Not only Lewis, but Aaron also activated his magic eye to find out where the center of the formation was. If it wasn't underground, then it could be in the sky.
The characteristic of the formation's eye was the brightest sparkle of light. Aaron continued to watch the formation as Lewis and Eloise fought and worked together to defeat the enemy.
"Activate the Orion constellation!" shouted a member of the enemy team.
Suddenly a huge archer figure appeared in the sky, drawing a bow and aiming the light elemental arrow forward.
Eloise tried to resist the force, but her magazine tier made it difficult for her to hold out much longer.
"Don't mind me. Hurry up and go get that flag," said Eloise.
'Don't!' said Aaron.
'Go back to Eloise and help her survive,' Aaron said.
Lewis listened to Aaron's words. He went to the side and helped by adding strength to the defensive shield.
The light elemental magic arrow shattered and was accompanied by an explosion, making a puff of smoke fill the battle area.
He brought out a purple darkness elemental magic sword, then pointed it forward to destroy the two attackers from the Justice Tower team.
The two tried to defend with their light magic, but Aaron's high ability caused the light shield to shatter and they fell down injured.
Eloise stepped quickly forward, used her ice talent and began to freeze the enemy guarding the flag of the Tower of Justice. The enemy could not dodge, he was hit by the magic and froze instantly.
The woman managed to snatch the flag of the Tower of Justice, bringing the match to an end and the crowd cheered.
"Not so fast!" said a man from the enemy team.
He condensed the constellation formation and targeted Eloise who was walking back to her team. Lewis, seeing the threat, immediately moved and pointed his hand forward, revealing a purple magic shield.
"The match is over! What are you doing?" asked Eloise, angrily pointing at the flag she had captured.
"My team may have lost, but you should be hurt!" she snapped.
The arrow of light split into several small arrows of light, directly targeting Lewis' unguarded body. As a result, the small arrows pierced Lewis' body, leaving him badly injured.
Elsa did not remain silent. She went quickly and stood right in front of Lewis, protecting her threatened and dying member.
"The match is over. Is the Justice Tower trying to cause trouble with Sky Sword?!" Elsa snapped.
The leader of the Justice Tower came over, bowed his head and apologized to Elsa for his members' behavior. He promised to punish his members accordingly.
Aaron, who was sitting in the stands, suddenly vomited blood when Lewis was badly injured like that. Mia was shocked and wondered why Aaron was hurt.
'As I expected, my clone isn't that strong compared to me,' Aaron replied.
'I have to do something with this team.'
What do you think?
