Jiang Qiao didn’t continue to participate in the battle, but switched to the perspective of a bystander and watched the battle from above the battlefield.
The battlefield of the Battle of Divinity had been divided into five areas, the first three parts were the three-way battlefield with Lion Heart, the axe-wielding man, and Yellow Jacket Knights, while the last two parts were the battles that had broken out near the Mage Tower in the royal city, where players had stormed the castle.
The last part involved average players hunting down zombie soldiers all over the battlefield.
Of course, the hottest of the five battlefields was Yellow Jacket Knights’ battlefield, where a bunch of players gathered from all directions to join the excitement, just like celebrating a festival.
That the players received the news of Fureya’s demise from Mo Shigui’s household so quickly could probably be attributed to a post Jiang Qiao made on the Spirit Zone Forum five minutes earlier.
The title of the post was “The President of Dancing Nuclear Guild prepares to duel Yellow Jacket Knights to save Fureya, any kind soul willing to crowdfund a BUFF to rescue Fureya?”
Jiang Qiao’s original intention in making this post was actually to join in on the excitement, as most of the discussions on the Spirit Zone Forum were currently about the Battle of Divinity and Queen Mei, and Jiang Qiao’s post with the keyword ‘Fureya’ quickly caught the attention of forum users.
Moreover, Dancing Nuclear Guild was a hot topic on various gaming forums, so replies to Jiang Qiao’s post shot up immensely within a minute of posting.
‘Isn’t Mo Shigui the President of the Dancing Nuclear Guild? Would a big shot of his level die three times in an instance?’ Responder: Wen Xiangge.
‘It’s true.’ Responder: Rain Song.
‘Rain Song, your straightforward reply has undermined the majesty of our president!’ Responder: Mama Has a Dog.
‘There’s a new name added to the Fureya harem group.’ Responder: Mirror Demon.
‘Send coordinates, I can contribute a Wind Breath.’ Responder: Phantom Feather Wing.
‘Crowdfunding to save a wife? Is that even a thing? I’ve nearly died twice in the battle for divinity and I’m a bit scared… If I die for the third time, will some big brother help save my wife?’ Responder: Starry Writer Squad.
‘We, the Fureya support group, are willing to offer help. Brother above, send your coordinates first.’ Responder: Western Wind by Firelight.
Jiang Qiao watched the continuously refreshing messages from above the battlefield, after uploading the footage of Mo Shigui’s duel with Yellow Jacket Knights to the forum and marking the coordinates.
The common players fighting the zombie soldiers on the battlefield all gathered towards these coordinates.
The elite raid teams brought by the major guilds numbered at most seventy, like Dancing Nuclear Guild’s raid team which only had fifty-three people, and the more people there were, the harder it was to command.
However, there were about three thousand regular players on the battlefield, and in an instant, this crowd gathered towards one place, constantly releasing various colored BUFFs.
From above, Jiang Qiao saw it as if he was looking down at a colorful city street at night.
“Yellow Jacket Knights won’t be able to hold on much longer,” Jiang Qiao remarked as he watched the players gathering around Yellow Jacket Knights.
Players could never truly solo a BOSS; Yellow Jacket Knights unfortunately became the first BOSS on the battlefield to be targeted by all the players.
Maybe Yellow Jacket Knights could barely cope with a battle against a hundred or two hundred, but with the number climbing to over a thousand players, she was starting to struggle.
“I’ve built the space you wanted me to create, but will they really listen to you?”
Hai Lan’s voice appeared beside Jiang Qiao, and a blue orb emerged next to him; this was the scouting drone created by Hai Lan.
She overlooked the wasp Knight battling fiercely with the players from above, feeling a sense of guilt for facing these former followers of hers. After the guilt, seeing the wasp Knight effortlessly take down a fragile Mage filled her with sorrow.
“We just need to persuade Queen Mei,” Jiang Qiao said, “As for these knights… let’s capture them first.”
The wasp Knight, being such an excellent BOSS, couldn’t simply be a one-time challenge for the players, especially since there wasn’t a second one respawning after one was killed, which probably meant a bunch of reward-less players were going to curse their mothers.
Currently unable to create creatures above level fifty, Jiang Qiao saw the wasp Knight as unique for the time being and naturally wanted to promote a sustainable development strategy, reusing it where possible.
The battle between Mo Shigui and the wasp Knight lasted a full six hours, more accurately, the players had besieged the wasp Knight for six hours straight.
According to Jiang Qiao’s setting, Mo Shigui’s Fureya had, in fact, resurrected some time ago, but Mo Shigui still chose to take down the wasp Knight first, probably not wanting her to interfere in the battlefield of the wolf knights.
The wasp Knight had become another fairy merchant on the battlefield, a gathering spot for the players, with some not directly fighting her but just buffing Mo Shigui and debuffing the wasp Knight, then sitting down to eat dinner while AFK.
However, such AFK spectating behavior was likely to get one instantly killed by the wasp Knight and the zombie soldiers, but the wasp Knight’s health still steadily declined under the combined sniping of the experts from the Dancing Nuclear Guild and the Abyss Temple.
Finally, at half-past two in the morning, the wasp Knight’s health dropped below three thousand points, and the players became restless.
Help was help, but since the wasp Knight was a wild map BOSS, nobody knew if she would drop any good loot upon death.
“It’s over!” Mo Shigui directly released Shield Bash at the wasp Knight once more, this time striking her knee with his shield.
The wasp Knight couldn’t withstand the blow and knelt on the ground.
After six hours of close combat, Mo Shigui had long realized that the wasp Knight was a BOSS without super armor, her endurance this whole time relying on her ability to switch between various clones, as well as her attacks that caused bleeding and severe poison effects, even ignoring armor.
But as the wasp Knight’s health dropped to about ten thousand, her movements became noticeably sluggish, sluggish enough that Mo Shigui could even catch her in a 1V1 situation.
“I… will come back for you all,” the wasp Knight could feel the power given by the queen dwindling, but she had already plundered enough energy from the players.
The wasp Knight needed some time to digest this energy or give it all to Queen Mei.
“Let’s talk about it when you respawn next time!” Mo Shigui lifted his Longsword, enhanced by a full fifty-two buffs, stabbing at the wasp Knight, whose form gradually turned into particles of light, drifting towards the center of the king’s city.
But those particles hadn’t been drifting for long when Jiang Qiao, who had been waiting in the sky above the battlefield, finally made his move.
“It’s up to you now, Hai Lan! Catch that BOSS!” Jiang Qiao said as he threw the nearby Hai Lan, who was in her scouting drone form, out.
“What? What’s happening?”
Before the scouting drone version of Hai Lan could react to what was going on, Jiang Qiao had thrown her next to the wasp Knight, who was in a state of light particles. Then, the orb scouting drone split in two, swallowing up all the light particles that made up the wasp Knight.
‘Congratulations, you have captured a wild wasp Knight.’
Jiang Qiao also received a brand-new system prompt.
What do you think?
