Chapter 95: Chapter 94 Chaos Evil (Seeking Recommendations!!!)
“At a time like this… for an invader to actually come forward to save you.” The Red Knight got up from the ground and said to the despairing Queen Mei, “But it’s all meaningless. Once the Erasure Legion arrives soon, you will…”
“Damn it! Killed by the BOSS in one hit again! So frustrating!”
Before the Red Knight could finish his villainous monologue, that player’s voice came from the tombstone again, and the Red Knight chose to ignore it and continued his speech…
“You will…”
“The cemetery, ah! I’ve said it several times now, Queen Mei is in the cemetery? What? Coordinates? What are coordinates?”
The Red Knight’s eyebrows twitched slightly, and he suppressed his anger. Just as he opened his mouth to continue speaking…
...
“Lucky me! I never look at the map when playing online games, what do you mean you’re mad at me! I was the first to find Queen Mei and I even reported the location. If you keep scolding me, I’ll quit the guild!”
The atmosphere of despair was instantly shattered by the continuous chatter from that tombstone, and Queen Mei, looking at the tombstone, managed to hold back the tears in her eyes.
But her tears had not been held back for long before the ley lines beneath her feet surged up again with many black hands entrapping Queen Mei. And before she knew it, the Red Knight was behind her, gripping her neck with his hand.
“These clowns are only delaying your demise…”
“Damn it! Where the hell are you guys?! Hurry up, our Queen Mei is being choked by that punk in a red outfit! What? I’ve already told you I was wiped by the BOSS, now I’m just a tombstone and have to run back to my corpse to resurrect! Trash talk? Oh! Let me think…”
The tombstone once again interrupted the Red Knight’s moment of triumph, and finally shouted at the Red Knight, “Hey, you punk! I dare you to touch our Queen Mei again!”
As if to show defiance, the Red Knight pressed Queen Mei’s face firmly to the ground, still grasping her neck.
“…” The tombstone fell silent for a moment, then finally said, “I recorded that, you’re done for.”
“What can you do with me, a tombstone…” The Red Knight hadn’t finished his sentence. This time, it was not interrupted by the player who had become a tombstone, but rather by an ear-shattering explosion from behind him.
The grand gates of the Royal Cemetery were shattered into pieces by the unknown explosion, and the underground mausoleum trembled violently due to the seismic blast.
The Red Knight turned around and saw another figure clad in Lion Heart Knight armor walking out from the gates.
“Another imitator?” The Red Knight released Queen Mei and turned to summon his familiar, ready to dispatch this new ‘Lion Heart Knight’ and then…
The thought in the Red Knight’s mind was cut off before it was completed. Behind the giant sword-wielding Lion Heart Knight appeared the figures of many more Lion Heart Knights, not just them but also Wolf Knights and Wasp Knights.
Wait a minute, the Red Knight remembered that the Lion Heart Knight’s armor was an absolute treasure of their country. How did it become wholesale goods in the hands of these invaders?
But the initial goal of these invaders was to kill Queen Mei!
This point suddenly struck the Red Knight. The enemies he was facing were the cause of Queen Mei’s weakness.
So…
“Didn’t you want to kill Queen Mei?” The Red Knight realized something was amiss and threw Queen Mei in front of the group of five knights by the door and said, “Her life, take it if you will.”
The leading ‘Lion Heart Knight’ glanced at Queen Mei lying wounded on the ground, slowly drew his giant sword, a crimson light emanating from his body, and even the slits in his helmet glowed a deep red.
“Who dares to bully our kid? Show yourself…”
Hai Lan had rarely gotten angry in all the years of gaming, but this time she truly entered a state of fury.
The Red Knight looked toward the shadows at the entrance of the distant tomb chamber, as different colors of light emerged from within, a sense of foreboding rising within him.
………
Ager, a member of the Destruction Legion.
The purpose of the Destruction Legion’s creation was to find sufficiently ‘delicious’ worlds for their master to devour, and the worlds containing the Divine Fragments of the fallen Devouring God were… certainly food that would satisfy the master.
“Lord Ager, do you really not intend to inform the other generals?” Ager’s freshly-recruited deputy risked the danger of being killed by Ager when he suggested this after sensing the proximity of the Devouring God’s Plane Fragment.
“Is this the first time the master has bestowed divinity upon you?” Ager glanced sidelong at his deputy, who was clad in the characteristic pitch-black armor and skull-faced helm of the Destruction Legion. This armor was a gift from their master, and equally, a shackle.
“Yes.”
“Although the Destruction Legion claims to be a Legion, the relationship between the generals is more like that of treasure hunters. The generals search for worlds among the myriad planes that will please the master, and whoever finds one will be rewarded. I have been corrupting the false deities within the Hai Lan divine sphere for ten years now. Why… should I share the fruits of my hard-won victories with others?” Ager retorted.
“But, the enemy we’re facing are the chosen warriors of the legendary Devouring God.”
“I know what you are afraid of. The false deity I’ve corrupted has done excellently; he has already killed all the warriors in that plane who could pose a threat to us.”
Ager rose from where he sat and walked slowly toward the edge of the floating landmass within the void, followed by three hundred fully-armed soldiers of the Destruction Legion.
All of them had been granted the divine vestige of destruction by Ager and had acquired combat strength beyond that of mortals.
“The time for plunder has come, the false deity under my control is already prepared to welcome our arrival! Open the gate!”
Ager gave the order, and in the moment his words fell, space in front of him started to show signs of fracturing, which grew more and more numerous.
Then, a rift in space-time appeared before him, revealing the scenes of the Royal Mausoleum.
Ager also managed to see the corrupted false deity, the Red Knight.
But now the Red Knight was not standing in wait, rather he lay prostrate on the ground, clutching his head with both hands. @@novelbin@@
Next to the Red Knight was a group clad in the armor of the Lion Heart and Wolf Knights, incessantly kicking the Red Knight’s head.
“Damn, how is this BOSS so weak, couldn’t even last an hour?”
“What are you talking about, this BOSS is a summoner, when we fought his familiars, each of his three familiars could kill one of our squishies with a single claw, but the main body is indeed weak.”
“Sigh! It’s not satisfying at all. Is this the behind-the-scenes lame final BOSS? Brother, what other skills do you have? A second form transformation? We already did phase two earlier, so do you have a phase three or what?”
Ager’s normally stern face faltered upon witnessing this scene. The Red Knight seemed to sense Ager’s presence, raising his head to meet Ager’s gaze.
“Great master, help…”
“Close it.”
Ager issued the order decisively, and the rift in space-time began to repair itself. But just as the last fracture was about to close, a massive sword suddenly thrust into the final gap of the rift.
The space-time rift was shattered by the sword, and the pixelated head of a yeti peeked into the rift, looking at the people of the Destruction Legion.
“Excuse me… are you the newly spawned BOSSes?”
