Chapter 422: 422: Black Fist

Chapter 422: Chapter 422: Black Fist

Indeed, the three young masters from the capital city had already started to indulge in underground boxing in the South City District.

The so-called underground boxing is an illegal boxing ring. Many companies and clubs keep some boxers. Some have been trained since childhood, some have been poached from other places, and there are even masters brought over from abroad.

And in the world of underground boxing, there was all sorts of bloodshed and violence. Some boxers might even end up completely ruined after a single fight, or even lose their lives. Although against the law, the wealthy apparently enjoy this kind of thrill and the blood-spattered spectacle.

Under the three young masters from the capital city, naturally, there were many skilled fighters. This time, they decided to have a match. And, they also secretly placed some bets on the side.

What was originally an entertaining match for a bit of fun, suddenly turned serious as they began to put in real effort. Young Master Li, having lost the match, gritted his teeth and invited a very powerful expert, staking several gold mines on the bet. This stirred the other two. Young Master Liu and Young Master Bo naturally followed suit. Both summoned experts from the capital city then and there.

Unexpectedly, Young Master Li’s boxer was extremely powerful, defeating three men within ten moves. He nearly drove Young Master Liu and Young Master Bo to the point of jumping up with rage.

...

Although Mo Shaocong was a major scion in province Z, he was nothing in the capital. Eager to please Young Master Liu, he quickly stepped forward, declaring that he would find someone to take down Young Master Li’s boxer. Young Master Liu immediately decided that if Mo Shaocong could get someone to kill Young Master Li’s boxer, then he would hand over two copper mines in province Z to him. If Mo Shaocong’s man couldn’t kill the opponent, then Mo Shaocong himself would enter the ring and fight.

Mo Shaocong was well aware that fortune is like retrieving a chestnut from the fire. He immediately agreed.

Knowing Xiao Han’s prowess and that he had defeated Monkey King, White Tiger, and King Kong – three great masters – Mo Shaocong believed Xiao Han would surely win. So, he hurriedly went to find Xiao Han. As Xiao Han listened to his proposition, his expression darkened.

“Young Master Mo…” Xiao Han frowned.

“Xiao Han, don’t say anything.” Mo Shaocong spoke earnestly, “If you help your brother out today, I’ll give you a twenty percent share in the copper mine, how’s that?”

“I don’t need it!” Xiao Han shook his head.

“My God, do you not realize what a twenty percent share means?” Mo Shaocong hurriedly added, “The annual output value of a copper mine is five billion, two copper mines are ten billion. Wealth that so many dream of, why don’t you want it?”

“Big brother,” Xiao Han said with a look of despair, gazing out of the window, “It’s not my money, I don’t need it. Every penny I make comes from my own hard work and struggle.”

“I know!” Mo Shaocong nodded, “But… let’s do this, if you win, we each take one of the two copper mines. How about that?”

“No!” Xiao Han shook his head.

“You mean to say you won’t help your brother out?” Mo Shaocong’s face showed some dejection. If Xiao Han didn’t make a move today, Mo Shaocong feared that his life could be lost in the boxing ring. He felt some inner fear and trepidation.

“Big brother, of course, I’ll help you,” Xiao Han looked at Mo Shaocong seriously, “Even if it means dying on the fighting platform, I will never say no.”

“Good brother!” Mo Shaocong looked at Xiao Han excitedly, “If you don’t want the copper mine, in the provincial city, whatever you want to do is fine. As long as your brother can satisfy you, I will definitely help you with all my heart and effort!”

“Thank you, big brother!” Xiao Han gave a slight smile, but his smile was full of helplessness.

“Let me know whatever you want to do afterward, and just tell me!” Mo Shaocong looked at Xiao Han and then said, “As long as your brother can do it, I will make sure it’s done for you.”

Xiao Han remained silent.

The car quickly drove through the city, heading straight for a secluded industrial area in the South City District.

As they entered through the factory district’s main gate, several underlings armed with axes stopped the car.

“Are you blind?” Mo Shaocong glared at them and said, “Don’t you see it’s me?”

“Yes, Young Master Mo,” several underlings holding axes trembled.

Boom…

Mo Shaocong floored the accelerator, and the car charged forward, quickly entering. The underlings hastily closed the gates and scurried to stand guard at the entrance. Not only were guards stationed strictly at the entrance, but inside the factory area was also heavily secured with many people.

This territory belonged to Liu Sandao, and the underlings of the Dao Meng patrolled inside. The underground boxing ring was also one of Liu Sandao’s businesses. Every week, this place was bustling with people coming to watch the fights – mostly from the underworld. They could casually place bets when they had nothing else to do. Make a little bit of money. All in all, they enjoyed themselves immensely. Even if they lost, it was just a matter of laughing it off, just betting for the fun of it.

The car stopped inside.

Mo Shaocong was the first to jump off the car. Xiao Han followed suit, with many onlookers curiously watching Mo Shaocong, also casting curious glances at Xiao Han.

“Young Master Mo, you finally made it?” Shouted an underling at the gate.

“Hmm!” Mo Shaocong nodded.

“Young Master Liu has been waiting inside for you,” the lackey said hastily. “You need to hurry up.”

“Understood,” Mo Shaocong replied in response.

Mo Shaocong, carrying Xiao Han, hurriedly slipped inside. The entrance was not tall. A curtain hid it, but from inside came surges of cheering. Even though the boxing ring had soundproofing, it still couldn’t stop the noise from seeping out.

Once inside, it was a scene of chaos.

The place was large. Looking down over the edge, there was a vast arena that much resembled the Beast Fighting Arenas of Ancient Rome. In the center was the fighting ground, surrounded by layers of spectator seats packed with people. The venue was not very big, capable of accommodating only a thousand or two. Seats were already filled to capacity.

At the very front, people crowded around the boxing ring, shouting and howling loudly.

“Kill him, kill him!”

“Go on, beat him to death.”

The bloody violence in the ring stirred that inherent lust for slaughter within people. Human beings are animals, after all, just higher animals at that. Despite controlling the world, the animalistic impulses never faded from their hearts, ever lurking in human genes.

Above the ring, a familiar figure was unleashing a ferocious onslaught – it was King Kong, who once had been defeated by Xiao Han. King Kong used to reign supreme over this boxing ring. But today, he was being tormented. Several tycoons from the capital had brought some experts. White Tiger and Monkey King had already been beaten to cripples, tossed aside, half-dead. Nearly all the provincial city experts had been disabled. Only King Kong remained, defending with his flesh and blood against the onslaught.

However, King Kong was barely holding on now. His steps and reactions had slowed considerably. Although a large figure, he could only serve as a human shield. The opponent’s moves were swift and vicious. Each strike was bloodthirsty, each blow deadly. King Kong was covered in blood, his eyes bulging, while the opponent remained unscathed.

“It’s that guy!” Mo Shaocong pointed at the man on the platform, saying, “Don’t know where they found him, but he’s very strong. He’s killed several of our provincial tough guys. Even Liu Sandao’s three Brave Generals stood no chance against him. Look at that guy, not a scratch on him.”

“Hmm!” Xiao Han was facing such a formidable opponent for the first time, so he felt a slight sense of heaviness in his heart. He decided to first observe his opponent’s attacking patterns.

The opponent was incredibly fast, clearly a speed-focused fighter. His attacks were extremely fierce.

Xiao Han squinted his eyes, coldly watching the other, carefully focusing on him.

King Kong was already battered to a daze, hardly able to distinguish north from south.

Seizing the moment, the opponent made a fierce dash, leaping into the air, and spun like a giant top. His legs slammed hard into King Kong’s chest and, in that instant, King Kong was sent flying.

Boom…

With that strike, King Kong heavily crashed into the surrounding wire mesh. He then slowly slid down before collapsing heavily onto the ground.

Spurt…

A mouthful of blood violently sprayed out from his mouth.

With that blow, King Kong nearly met his end. The paramedics quickly rushed up, lifted him on a stretcher in no time, and rapidly cleared him from the arena.

The referee quickly entered the ring, shouting loudly, “This time, our Dark Angel has won again. Is there anyone else willing to challenge?”

At the very front of the seats, a prime viewing spot was enclosed by a railing. Inside were sofas and a coffee table, atop which several bottles of fine liquor and some glasses sat. A few men variously stood or sat in east, west, and south corners.

A man with a dark complexion, sporting a rooster’s comb of hair on his head and bean-sized eyes, glanced at the others and spoke, “Young Master Liu, Young Master Bo, do you have anyone else? If not, the gold mines of the Northwest will be mine!”

“Hmph, it’s not over yet,” Young Master Liu said disdainfully. “What’s the rush?”

“Indeed, didn’t Mo Shaocong go to bring reinforcements?” Young Master Bo said indifferently, holding a cigar in his hand.

“Oh?” Young Master Li smiled and said, “You really trust him? What good is the son of a mere vice-minister? You’re too naive, putting your hopes on him.”

Young Master Bo smiled, “Let’s not jump to conclusions before it’s over.”

Just then, Mo Shaocong hurried over, saying with a smile, “Sorry, I’m late.”

The crowd turned their gaze to Mo Shaocong, but their attention was soon drawn to Xiao Han standing behind him. Young Master Li scanned Xiao Han with his bean-sized eyes, then smiled and asked, “Mo Shaocong, surely this isn’t the reinforcement you’ve brought?”

“Yes!” nodded Mo Shaocong.
