Seven Deadly Sins System

Sensing the powerful aura rapidly coming towards this place, Chu Wuyao didn't think for long and immediately turned herself back into a Gem Beast.

After all, being in her human form in the Myriad Demons Forest was obviously not as convenient as being a monster and was bound to attract the hatred of other monsters.

Chu Wuyao's purpose for staying in the Myriad Demons Forest was indeed to kill other monsters, but she didn't want to become a public enemy.

With that in mind, all the cells that made up Chu Wuyao's body began changing under her control, and before long, she had transformed into a colorful monster with thick limbs and a snake-like head.

Raising one of her claws, she swung it forward and with a loud sound, a huge hole was opened on one of the walls of the residence, a hole that was just enough for her huge body to pass through.

After she stepped outside, she didn't escape nor did she advance towards the direction that this aura was coming from, but instead chose to stay still and wait for the visitor to arrive.

The creature that could alarm Chu Wuyao was of course not weak, and even though they were originally quite far, it didn't take long for them to reach this place and for their figure to come to an abrupt stop.

Chu Wuyao raised her head and looked at the visitor, only to be slightly surprised.

Just from the power of the aura, she had already understood that the creature that was coming was a Middle-Grade Level 3 Monster, equivalent to a human cultivator at the Aspect Stage.

Because of this, she originally thought that the creature coming would look quite opposing and majestic, just like the Gem Beast did, but in fact, it was actually quite the opposite.

Surprisingly, the owner of the powerful aura that she previously sensed looked less like a monster and more like a noble lady.

It was a blonde woman in her early thirties, whose chest was quite majestic, and who wore a long golden dress made out of silk that complemented her proud figure.

Her golden pupils that shone with a dazzling light made her look quite majestic, but at the same time, it made her strangely charming.

This woman was bound to attract attention wherever she went, not only because of her supreme beauty but also because of her special features.

There were two fluffy golden ears on both sides of her head, while three golden tails were protruding from her back and constantly swinging around, seemingly matching the rhythm of her breathing.

As the woman's beautiful face, her proud figure, and most importantly, her fluffy ears and her three golden tails, fell on Chu Wuyao's eyes, she felt an impact on her consciousness.

Immediately, she wanted to rush forward and pet this woman, but instantly, she suppressed this idea and helped herself wake up.

Recalling the momentary pause in her thinking and her previous inexplicable impulse, Chu Wuyao understood that something had affected her.

Thinking of this, her eyes when looking at this three-tailed woman became a little more serious.

On the other hand, as soon as the woman arrived, she instantly activated her charm, wanting to kill the invader as soon as possible.

However, when she discovered that this monster had managed to wake up, she couldn't help but take a closer look, only to discover that the invader was a Level 3 Gem Beast.

Seeing this, she didn't take any further action but instead chose to communicate first and see whether she could expel it without conflict.

The three tails behind the woman's back trembled slightly as she urged her soul and used her thoughts to speak.

"Who are you? Why are you invading my territory and slaughtering my subordinates?", a charming voice soon echoed directly in Chu Wuyao's mind.

Hearing these words and feeling the faint murderous intent that the woman in front of her exuded, Chu Wuyao was able to guess something.

Spreading her perception around, she traced the auras that remained in this place, and soon, she found one that matched this woman's aura.

Immediately, Chu Wuyao was able to piece together what happened.

When powerful monsters managed to obtain a territory, they would leave their aura behind and "mark" their territory, just so that monsters of the same Level could know that this place already had an owner.

In most cases, when monsters of the same Level noticed the remains of aura, they would consciously avoid these areas, unless they wanted to conflict with the ruler of the territory for some reason.

This was something that all monsters did instinctively and something that was engraved in their bloodline.

"Sure enough. Although I can transform into a monster, mask my aura, and obtain all their abilities, I'm still not a real monster.", Chu Wuyao thought and understood why this woman had come to visit her so late at night.

Most likely, this place was this woman's territory and her reckless killing of monsters had attracted her attention.

Seeing that the Gem Beast in front of her didn't respond but seemed to be ignoring her, the three-tailed woman's murderous intent increased.

This couldn't be blamed entirely on her.

Any monster would get angry if they were to find that another monster had invaded their territory, especially when that monster had killed hundreds of their subordinates and relatives.

Recalling the mummified corpses of her descendants that she had seen before and seeing what she regarded as a look of contempt on the Gem Beast's face, the three-tailed woman could no longer suppress her murderous intent.

A golden light flashed around her that engulfed her figure, and when that light dispersed just a split second later, her figure had disappeared.

In her place, a small fox with a height of less than a meter stood, with three beautiful tails behind its back and golden, silky smooth fur.

But despite the fox's delicate and seemingly harmless appearance, the murderous intent that flashed in her golden pupils and her powerful aura made it clear that she was not something to be trifled with.

"Swoosh!"

The sound of wind sounded, as the three-tailed fox stepped forward and her figure vanished completely.

Although Chu Wuyao was thinking and seemed to not be paying attention, she had never let down her guard since the time that the woman appeared.

As such, when the woman turned into a three-tailed fox, she instantly understood that she was planning to take action.

Urging her soul, Chu Wuyao concentrated her perception near her body, getting ready to defend against the incoming attack.

However, even though she was prepared, Chu Wuyao was surprised to find that she was unable to react in time when the fox showed up.

At an unknown time, the three-tailed fox appeared beside her and waved its paws forward, attacking her.

Even though its movements looked ordinary, just like an ordinary fox pouncing on its prey, they contained enough unimaginable power.

"Bang!"

The paws brushed against Chu Wuyao's body, hitting her without allowing her to put up any defense.

This attack would have torn apart every Level 2 Monster and would have injured most Level 3 Monsters, but when it fell on Chu Wuyao's body, it was easily neutralized.

Only a few faint claw marks remained on the colorful gems that adored her Gem Beast body, being the only evidence that she had suffered an attack.

Chu Wuyao turned around and swung her claws forward, wanting to tear the three-tailed fox to pieces, but unfortunately, she failed.

The three-tailed fox seemed to have known that her attack would fail and after she relieved the remaining force in her body, she pushed against the ground and her figure disappeared once again.

When she reappeared, she was on the opposite side of Chu Wuyao, not only dodging Chu Wuyao's attack but also taking the opportunity to hit her back.

"Bang! Bang!"

The figure of the three-tailed fox flashed continuously around Chu Wuyao and attacked her tirelessly with her paws, and every time Chu Wuyao was about to counterattack, the three-tailed fox would immediately run away.

To be honest, even though the three-tailed fox's attacks did not cause her any damage, it was the first time that Chu Wuyao had found herself in such a situation.

She had to admit that even among all the many opponents she had faced during her cultivation journey, the speed of this fox was shockingly fast, perhaps being the fastest opponent that she had ever found against.

"But as a result, this fox's attacking power is quite lacking.", Chu Wuyao thought, knowing that the reason why she didn't suffer any damage was partly because of the Gem Beast's powerful defense and partly because this three-tailed fox's attacking power was relatively poor.

Although it surpassed the attacking power of Level 2 Monsters, it had only reached the threshold of the attacking power of Level 3 Monsters and could be considered the weakest within that level.

Obviously, for the three-tailed fox to obtain such speed, it had entirely given up on its attacking power.

Faced with such an opponent, Chu Wuyao had many ways to deal with her, such as activating her True Form, transforming into a more suitable, speed-related monster, or even using the Dragon Slaying Sword to chop her to pieces.

However, she refrained from doing so, feeling that this was a good opportunity to test her combat power in the Gem Beast form, the form she was planning to use while in the Myriad Demons Forest.

With that in mind, she waited silently for the three-tailed fox's next attack and prepared to fight back...
