She Belongs To The Devil

Chapter 849 Settled

"Damien. So, are you all settled?" Ariel held her hands behind her back and leaned against the doorframe of the guest quarter's bedroom, her face beaming with joy after finding out her father had prepared a quarter for Damien and allowed him to stay for however long he wanted to.

Damien sat on his new bed and smiled at Ariel. "I hadn't brought much belongings to begin with. So, yes, all settled."

"I will have someone prepare some new clothes for you. I hope everything else is in place. If you need anything, you can ask the maids or you can ask me."

He nodded. There was a constant smile on his face as he stared at his lover.

"What?" Ariel narrowed her eyes to hide the fact that Damien's smile was affecting her, making her blush.@@novelbin@@

Damien chuckled and patted on the bed. "Sit with me." Your adventure continues at My Virtual Library Empire

"Why?" Ariel folded her arms in front of her chest.

He shrugged. "No reason. I want to see you up close, that's all."

"Okay." Ariel licked her dry lips and entered the room. She sat by Damien's side and awkwardly started to look around the room. "This room is airy and bright. Oh, you can also see the–"

Her heart almost leaped out of her chest when Damien suddenly rested his head on her lap and got comfortable. "W-What are you doing? Get up."

Instead of getting up, he grabbed her hand and placed it on his head, indirectly asking her to caress his hair.

Ariel gulped and took a deep breath through her mouth, hoping Damien wasn't hearing her heart going crazy. She then complied with Damien's request.

Damien closed his eyes, he felt great comfort when Ariel lovingly caressed him. "This feels so great."

Ariel smiled, her soft gaze on the beautiful demon resting on her lap. "Yes, it does. I like the feel of your hair, it's so soft."

"I missed this. Just the two of us, enjoying each other's company." He held Ariel's hand and brought it close to his lips. He kissed her palm softly, sending shivers down Ariel's body. He kept holding her hand as he whispered, "I miss the days when we used to play for hours, just the two of us lost in our own world, and not getting bored."

"I missed it too. It was hard for me to get used to life without you. For months, I had no idea how to spend my spare time," Ariel said melancholically, tears threatening to fall from her eyes. "Every corner of the palace would remind me of you. But you weren't here."

Damien's Adam's apple bobbed. He shifted his body to the other side to face Ariel and put his arm around her waist, his face pressing against her belly. "I cannot apologize enough for hurting you, Ary. I know I cannot go back in time and change what I did, but I promise I will treat you well for the rest of eternity."

"Okay." Ariel suddenly pinched his earlobe and smiled through her tears. "Remember your promise, you heartless demon."

"Hey! I have a heart!" Damien looked up with a frown on his forehead. "And a big one at that." He took Ariel's hand and slipped it inside his shirt. "Feel it. See how it's thumping so loudly. If it wasn't big, it wouldn't have made this noise."

Ariel chuckled, finding his reaction cute. "I'm sure it's big."

"And all of it is yours." Damien grinned.

She felt her ears and cheek burning again. Her eyes subconsciously fell on Damien's ears, it didn't look like he was feeling the same way as she was because his ears weren't red. "It's rude to keep making me feel this way."

She didn't know what came over her, but when she came to it, she was leaning down and kissing Damien with her eyes closed.

Damien was stiff for a moment upon getting kissed so suddenly, but he loosened up immediately after and kissed her back with equal fervor. He held tresses of her hair that fell on his face and ran his fingers through her hair as he deepened the kiss.

After a while, Ariel pulled away and gazed at Damien's flustered face. She smiled as if she had just accomplished her mission.

Damien lifted his hand and gently caressed Ariel's plump and wet lips with his thumb. "I love you so much."

Ariel leaned in and pecked his lips. And with a bright smile, she whispered back, "I love you too. A lot."

She straightened her back and resumed caressing his hair. "So, while you are here, what are you planning to do?"

"Um… stick by your side, get married, have kids, and–"

Out of nowhere, Ariel flicked him on his forehead. "That's not what I was asking, silly!"

She covered her eyes with her palm in embarrassment and mumbled, "I wanted to know if you would study and train with us, or if you already have a specialized training routine. If you do, let us know what you need and I will have it prepared."

"Oh! That's what you meant." He grinned sheepishly. "Well, my mother beat me up till I couldn't take it anymore. So, all you need to do is pair with me while training. That's all."

"Really?" Ariel's eyes gleamed upon hearing that. "Then I will finally have a partner whom I can fight with on equal footing. I won't have to hold back almost 99 percent of my power anymore."

Damien laughed somewhat nervously. "Um… You might still have to hold back a little."

"Would you like to join the theoretical classes too? We mostly learn about political issues these days though." She looked at Damien with expectant eyes.

He smiled seeing her eagerness. "I think learning about the earth's politics might not be a complete waste."

"That's great!" She leaned in and rested her cheek on his forehead. "Ah! I'm so excited already. From now on, I will get to do everything with you."

"I am excited too." He pinched Ariel's cheek. "Oh, before anything else, remind me to pay a visit to my mother. I need to talk with her. She might be sad upon hearing that I wish to stay here though."

"We can visit her often. Or stay there during weekends. Whatever works for all of us."

"Thank you for being so understanding!" Damien felt happy thinking about how his mother was already fond of Ariel and vice-versa.

He was also glad that their parents were good friends. Otherwise, he knew his mother wouldn't have let him out of his sight for even an hour, let alone go on a trip around the surface.

Ariel entangled her fingers with Damien's, suddenly remembering the real reason why she came to see him. "Earlier, my uncles and aunties didn't attack you with questions, right? At the dining hall."

"Ah!" Damien suddenly pouted. "You meanie! You left me alone there! How could you run away like that?"

"I'm sorry! I became so flustered that I ended up running away." Ariel looked repentant of her action.

Damien sighed. "It's alright. You must have been overwhelmed."

"So, they didn't ask you anything?"

"They did! That silly youngest cousin of yours can't keep his mouth shut. He revealed that you and I had confessed our love for each other. And I had to answer all of their questions. I wanted to run away too, but they didn't let me."

Ariel laughed while trying to straighten Damien's frown lines with her fingers. "So, they all know, huh?"

"Yes." Damien smiled thinking how everyone now knew Ariel was his. "They all know."
