“Did you see that group that just came in, the two women and a man? That taller woman, not bad at all, pretty spicy.”

“Finally something fresh. I’m definitely going to score with that woman today, and none of you can compete with me.”

A few people chimed in, and the man known as Young Master Xie was very pleased with himself, downing his drink and readying to make his move.

The trio found a spot at the bar. Shen Zichu wasn’t really into these kinds of places, but he didn’t utterly despise them either.

Gu Xiaoman was always so busy that she hardly had any leisure activities; even when she had some time off, she preferred to game at home.

As for Mu Lan, she was completely clueless.

“I thought nightclubs were supposed to be fun. Why is this so boring?”

“Who are you asking? It was your idea to come here.”

Shen Zichu rolled his eyes at Mu Lan.

If Huo Tingxiao found out that he had taken his wife to a nightclub, he might very well skin him alive.

“Hey, you two, could you stop looking like you’ve just come from a funeral? We’re here now, so when in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Have you never eaten pork or seen a pig run? Just look at what everyone else is doing.

No matter what, don’t show any weakness!”

Gu Xiaoman had a point, so Mu Lan’s eyes lit up with an idea, and she decided to throw Shen Zichu under the bus.

Mu Lan sat on the high stool, sipping her drink and laughing uncontrollably at the two’s dance moves, which were akin to that of an elderly disco, naturally swaying her body to the music.

Shareholder or not, what did that have to do with her? Why was this guy so full of nonsense?

“So what if he’s a shareholder? Does that give him the right to harass patrons? I said I’m not going. Can’t you understand Chinese?

If not, let me repeat that in French.”

With that, Mu Lan rattled off a string of French, leaving the man completely baffled.

The flunkey who had tried to pick her up returned to his booth, defeated, and was immediately slapped across the face by Xie Bin.

“Useless, good for nothing, always coming up short. What use are you to me?”

Xie Bin still didn’t realize whom he had provoked, laughing even more roguishly.

“You’ll be my woman in the future.”

“If you don’t want to mess with Huo Tingxiao, you’d better let go and get lost right now.”

As soon as she said this, Mu Lan felt she had lost her spirit. Faced with danger, the first person she thought of was Huo Tingxiao. She even resorted to using his name, pushing Mu Huaifeng to the side.

“Where’s the girl who was sitting here?”

The bartender shook his head, indicating he had no idea.

“I’ll check the restroom, you give her a call.”

With that, Gu Xiaoman stood up and headed to the restroom, but didn’t find Mu Lan.

And Shen Zichu got no answer from the phone call.

Returning to the bar, looking at Shen Zichu’s frowned expression, Gu Xiaoman asked worriedly.

“Did she pick up?”

“No.”

Meanwhile, in the upstairs private room, Mu Lan was held by several men, with Xie Bin looking at her with a sleazy smile.

“Dare to get rough with me, you really don’t want to live, huh? Talking nicely didn’t work with you, so do we have to get rough?”

“I advise you to let go of me right now. If you dare to touch a single hair on my head, not only will you offend the Huo Family, but Mu Group won’t let you off either!”
