Su Mu casually did a quick clear-out of his inventory, and the World Channel immediately erupted in disbelief.
[Player A]: “Alright, let’s calculate: if Su Mu takes down monsters and each drops at least two items, how many monsters has Su Mu defeated overall?”
[Player B]: “This is ridiculous! Even the top players on the leaderboards, who grind monsters all day long, can only upload a dozen or so items at most each time!”
[Player C]: “But Su Mu treats it like he’s restocking a warehouse! Bulk supply, easy as that.”
[Player D]: “What, did Su Mu storm into a monster den or something? How else does he have so much loot?”
[Player E]: “Well, not entirely impossible. If you’re lucky, you can find monster respawn points. Those areas can attract waves of monsters pretty easily.”
[Player F]: “So Su Mu probably just cleared a spawn area, huh?”
[Player G]: “Yeah, finding monster respawn zones isn’t too hard with luck. But staying there long enough to farm requires serious strength!”
[Player H]: “Su Mu already took down a boss. Farming spawns must be child’s play for him at this point.”
[Player I]: “So this is what peak player skill looks like… Incredible.”
While most reactions were awe and admiration, not everyone in the World Channel felt the same. Some players, driven by jealousy or prejudice, voiced their discontent.
[Player J]: “Damn those Dragon Nation players! You guys must be cheating!”
[Player K]: “This is the apocalypse! If humanity’s survival is at stake, Dragon Nation players should be forced to share their ‘cheating’ methods with everyone else!”
[Player L]: “Big deal! Taking down a boss? Our glorious Pretty Nation warrior, Turde, has already discovered a mini-boss location.”
[Player L]: “Turde even shared the boss’s location with us and plans to lead a raid where the rewards will be split equally!”@@novelbin@@
[Player L]: “Dragon Nation players, seethe with jealousy!”
As the discussion continued, the chat became more polarized. While some sneered at Turde’s group effort, others admired Su Mu’s efficiency in leveraging the market:
[Player M]: “Tch, isn’t it obvious? Turde’s just scared he can’t handle the mini-boss alone, so he’s gathering some cannon fodder to help.”
[Player N]: “In this world, the most dangerous thing isn’t the monsters—it’s human nature. Haha, classic.”
Meanwhile, a number of players focused on the opportunities Su Mu’s trades offered, rather than the drama:
[Player O]: “Man, being someone like Su Mu must be nice. He just names the materials he needs, and people line up to trade.”
[Player P]: “Wait, what’s a distillation stone? Does that mean Su Mu already has a third piece of gear?”
[Player Q]: “Not exactly. Distillation stones are found in volcanic or hot regions. They emit heat. I’ve got one lying around.”
[Player R]: “So to trade with Su Mu now, we’d need to climb a volcano? But the monsters up there are crazy strong!”
[Player S]: “Lucky me, I’ve already got a distillation stone. Time to trade with the big guy!”
As the transactions rolled in, Su Mu’s interface constantly chimed with trade notifications. He took a moment to glance over his acquisitions, nodding in satisfaction at the resources being delivered into his hands.
Su Mu reviewed the materials gathered through the market:
【Crushed Gold Grass】X12
【Iron Flake Stone】X12
【Distillation Stone】X5
Having a thriving marketplace truly made life easier. In no time, he had gathered everything needed to upgrade the Anti-evil Crossbow and the Glass Bracers.
As for upgrading the Mu Ran, Su Mu couldn’t help but sigh.
“Three hundred energy stones just for a single level-up… It’s outrageously expensive!”
But then again, the blade’s performance justified the cost. Its raw power was simply unmatched. Even without Su Mu stepping in, the Mu Ran had already annihilated wave after wave of monsters, leaving a mountain of loot by his side.
He glanced at his personal stats:
【Level: 3 (5900/10,000 EXP)】
In just a short span, the Mu Ran had raked in over 2,000 experience points for him. Even against higher-level monsters at levels 8 or 9, the blade could effortlessly one-shot them.
Su Mu smirked in satisfaction, knowing the blade’s strength was worth every bit of the investment.
“Good work, Black Blade,” he praised with a nod.
Su Mu glanced at the Mu Ran, casually leaning its body against the blade handle embedded in the ground. He gave a thumbs-up, acknowledging its stellar performance.
The Mu Ran, though appearing slightly bored by the lack of challenging monsters, lit up at the praise. A hint of pride replaced its usual lazy demeanor, showing even the most laid-back could be delighted by their master’s approval.
After calling the Black Blade back, Su Mu surveyed the area. It was a complete sweep—every nearby monster had been eliminated by the combined efforts of the Spirit-infused Black Blade and the defense tower. There was no point staying to farm further.
He dismantled the Boar Hair Defense Tower and took out his golden water bucket to gather water.
When the Mu Ran saw the bucket, its eyes sparkled with curiosity.
“Is this… a golden bucket?” it exclaimed. “Could it be that the master is incredibly wealthy?”
Ignoring the blade’s musings, Su Mu filled the bucket to capacity and prepared to leave. This spot was thoroughly cleared, and it was time to move on.
“Energy stones are the most critical resource,” he murmured to himself.
“They can only be mined from energy-rich veins or dropped by bosses.”
With his mind made up, he glanced into the horizon.
“Alright, next stop—a boss hunt!”
What do you think?
