Shelter for All: People catch ghosts and gain entries in the end times

Chapter 42 - The Treasure Map

Chapter 42: The Treasure Map

This blueprint was for a lighting structure—practical for Su Mu.

Right now, his shelter’s only source of illumination was the eternal bonfire, which served as its core. If the fire went out, the entire shelter would collapse. While the bonfire provided ample light inside, everything outside remained shrouded in pitch-black darkness at night.

With streetlamps, Su Mu could maintain visibility even after his shelter’s protective effects wore off, reducing the risk of nighttime ambushes.

After storing the streetlamp blueprint safely, he turned his attention back to the remaining loot.

[Warrior’s Treasure Map]

[Special Drop: Not affected by the World Blessing effect]

[Quality: Unknown]

[Description: A treasure said to belong only to warriors. Unfortunately, true warriors never live long enough to claim it.]

“A treasure map?”

Su Mu paused for a moment before quickly pulling out the Apocalypse Wasteland

map, comparing the treasure’s marked location with the corresponding position on the larger map.

The treasure was quite far away—no wonder the Lost Warrior had never managed to reach it.

But now that Su Mu had seen it, there was no way he’d ignore it.

“Though… the monsters in that area are a bit high-level.”

He glanced at the map’s description of the region. The monsters there were all Level 40 and above.

That place was no joke.

Even with his confidence, Su Mu wasn’t reckless enough to charge into an area where the monsters were ten times his level.

Aside from the treasure map, one other item stood out—both bizarre and oddly practical.

[Village Toilet Blueprint] ×2

[Quality: None]

[Construction Requirements: Stone ×10, Wooden Plank ×5, Energy Stone ×5]

[Description: In a post-apocalyptic world, only the truly privileged have the right to use a toilet.]

Su Mu’s expression turned strange.

This was… useful. Indisputably so. But still… It was weird.

Even so, he stored the blueprints. As strange as they were, they were necessary.

That wrapped up the drops from the Lost Warrior.

As expected of an 18th-level boss, the loot was quite generous.

The only regret was that Su Mu still had one more chance to refresh a sub-attribute, but none of the Lost Warrior’s drops were a good fit.

“The World Blessing effect still has seven minutes left.”

“I’ll grind some monsters while it lasts.”

The surrounding monsters were around Level 10.

When Su Mu first arrived, he had avoided them, opting instead to sneak in with the black armor to target the boss. But now that he had secured the loot and strengthened himself, dealing with these lower-level creatures would be much easier.@@novelbin@@

“Little Knife, let’s split up. You take the ones to the west, and I’ll handle the east. We meet back here in seven minutes.”

Little Knife nodded before flying off from Su Mu’s shoulder.

At the same time, the Black Blade detached from Su Mu’s hand and followed Little Knife to handle the western monsters.

At its current state, the Black Blade could still manage Level 10 monsters. Besides, all the creatures in this graveyard were undead.

[Plague Zombie]

[Level: 10]

[Attribute: Poisonous—be cautious.]

[Description: A zombie that became toxic after dying from a plague. Do not approach directly.]

Poisonous monsters could be troublesome, but Su Mu had no reason to fear them.

First, his attacks were ranged—he used the Anti-Evil Crossbow, meaning he wouldn’t need to engage in close combat.

As for Little Knife, being a spiritual entity, she was immune to poison. Worst case, when they regrouped, Su Mu could just douse her with water.

With a steady pull of the crossbow, Su Mu fired an arrow, instantly killing a Level 10 Plague Zombie. These undead creatures were weak, and with his enhanced level and weaponry, taking them down was a simple task.

On Little Knife’s side, things were slightly more troublesome, but she still handled them with ease—three strikes per zombie.

She occasionally shot looks of disdain, clearly unimpressed with her opponents.

Every shot from Su Mu’s crossbow felled another zombie, each one dropping loot. Thanks to the World Blessing, each kill granted him 600 experience points. Watching his experience bar rise rapidly, Su Mu reloaded with even greater urgency.

In seven minutes, the graveyard was nearly wiped clean of monsters.

Now, it was time to collect the loot.

[Purified Zombie Meat] ×150

[Description: Consuming this meat increases resistance to abnormal states but lowers poison resistance. Taste is average, provides a small amount of experience.]

Among the drops, a few higher-ranked zombies—those at the team leader level—had left behind something different.
