Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

Chapter 1434 1434: Second relic (1)

Walking across the ice, I made my way closer to the key that was there.

But as I approached the key, I actually started moving slower and slower.

I wasn't in a rush to reach the key since I had no idea what would happen if I approached it.

The last ruins had this pressure that was around the key, so there might be the same thing around this one.

But as I got closer and closer to the key, it didn't seem like anything was going to happen. It really seemed like there wasn't a single defense mechanism around the key.

No, that wasn't right either.

There were defenses around the key, it was just that I had disabled them.

There was also a part of me that wondered just what these different coloured tiles were capable of. The green one had shot out flames, which definitely wasn't what one thought of when one saw the colour green.

So there was no telling what these other coloured tiles would actually do.

In the end, it wasn't as if any of these other coloured tiles were able to do anything since they were sealed in the ice.

I made my way over to the pedestal that had the key on it without a problem.

Though the moment that I stepped off the tiles, the same thing happened where there was a layer of light that appeared around me. This was light that came from the Mark of God that appeared on my hand.

It seemed that there was the same pressure around this pedestal, it just didn't appear until one stepped off the tiles that were in this room.

It almost seemed like it was designed as a one two punch with the way that it happened.

So even if someone had a method of dealing with the tiles, if they didn't have the approval of the gods…

But I was someone that did have their approval in the form of this Mark of God, so it wasn't a problem for me to approach the key that was on the pedestal.

Once I came up to the pedestal, I grabbed the key without a problem and then the light around me disappeared. It was the same as before where once the key disappeared, the pressure also disappeared.

Then there was rumbling that came from around me.

I couldn't help shaking my head with a bitter smile when I heard this, but I did the same thing as before where I created a layer of ice around me. Though I didn't really put that much effort into the layer of ice.

In no time at all, the room around me had completely collapsed and I was freed once more.

"Holy son!"

The same thing happened where I was called out right away after the room collapsed around me.

Looking in the direction of the voice, I found that it was a group of holy knights and priests that were there.

This was the exact same situation as before where they had been looking for me after I disappeared.

These holy knights and priests didn't waste any time in coming over to make sure that I was alright. The priests even used their holy magic to heal me even though there was nothing wrong with me.

While they were doing this, I asked, "What happened?"

The holy knights and priests had awkward looks on their faces before one of them said, "Holy son, you just suddenly disappeared like before."

He said 'like before' because he was one of the people that had been with us when we went into the ruins previously. So he knew what happened last time when I also suddenly disappeared.

"Was it the same where I fell into a hole in the ground?"

That holy knight had an awkward look on his face before shaking his head and saying, "I don't know. I wasn't watching that closely, so I didn't notice anything like that."

I gave a sigh in response to this since it was an answer that I had already expected.

So there was no point in trying to get more out of him.

Instead, I just asked, "Bring me back to the door from before."

They looked like there was something that they wanted to say, but they couldn't say it in the end when they saw the way that I looked at them. Seeing the way that I was pressuring them, they had no choice but to take me back to that door.

However, there was already a group that was waiting there for us.

It seemed that they had already contacted the others and had everyone gather there.

The one that came forward first was the saintess who immediately started checking my conditions like the holy knights and priests had done. However, since it was the saintess, the holy magic that she used was on a completely different level.

With my sensitivity to divine energy after being around it for so long, I could even tell that she pulled out a divine relic. It seemed that she was sparing no expenses on making sure that I was alright.

But it felt wrong just to use a divine relic on me when there was nothing wrong with me in the first place.

So I stopped her before she was able to use that divine relic.

Though it seemed like she still wanted to insist on using the divine relic.

That just made a bitter smile appear on my face before I turned to the door and took out the key.

The moment that this key came out, everyone fell silent and focused on the key.

Anyone with eyes was able to tell that the shape of the key matched the shape of the lock.

So they were able to figure out that this key was most likely the key that opened this door.

But after that moment of silence, everyone readied themselves as if they were prepared to fight any kind of monsters hiding behind the door.

I shook my head seeing this, but I didn't stop them as I started bringing the key up to the lock.
