Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 685 685: 684: You're Like Me

"If you want to know how I taste like, then stop being a coward."

The instant Prince heard Corey's words, his eyes flashed with a menacing light of hunger and desire as he stared at Corey.

The air trembled around them as their auras clashed with one another.

Both Corey and Prince stared at one another without blinking, and they both had different thoughts as they continued their stare down.

Corey's pure white eyes was constantly observing every single thing about Prince's body, mana, aura, and the effect his presence had on the environment.

He was preparing himself for a battle that would most likely be more dangerous than his battle with Savage, and a part of him relished the feeling.

Meanwhile, Prince's thought were much different from Corey's.

Prince regarded Corey as prey, but deep down, his unnatural instincts as an Apex Predator made him wary of Corey.

Corey was an enigma to him, and unlike others who would be blinded by the power they had and their arrogance, Prince trusted his instincts and he knew that he had to be extremely careful around Corey.

He could not help but wonder how Corey was able to become such an enigma.

Was it because he was an inhabitant of a Blessed World?

Or did he have a terrifyingly powerful background that was able to nurture a demonic genius like him?

And most importantly, was Corey still prey or... Was he competition?

These thoughts and so many other thoughts flashed in Prince's mind as he stared at Corey with a grin.

Approximate eleven seconds later, Prince reeled in his aura and released a soft sigh.

"Luckily for you, I have a much better use for you than to consume you."

Prince turned, and then he snapped his fingers. A circular table covered in white cloth appeared to his right, and Corey raised his brows in surprise.

He stared at Prince with a questioning gaze but Prince merely grinned.

"Jamal."

"Sir."

Jamal responded with a respectful expression, and without Prince having to say anything, he began placing plates of food on the table from seemingly out of nowhere.

Corey furrowed his brows when he saw this, and Prince's voice drifted into his ears as he observed Jamal.

"Come, let's eat while we talk business."

Prince gestured at the table, and Corey glanced at him for a second, and then he approached the table and sat on a chair.

Prince smiled slightly, and then he sat opposite Corey with Jamal standing to his right.

Corey glanced at the foods in front of him, and a frown instantly appeared on his face.

Meat, meat, meat, meat, fruit, meat, fruit, vegetable, meat, meat, meat, meat, and wine.

There was so much meat in front of him to the point that a lover of meat would salivate not only at the quantity but at the aroma and appearance of every single meat.

If Corey had no idea about who was sitting before him and if he didn't possess his Eyes of Omniscience, he would not have seen the true nature of the meat before him.

"What is the meaning of this?"

Corey gazed at Prince with a cold expression, but Prince merely cut the meat in front of him with a fork and knife without answering.

The manner in which he handled the fork, knife, and his posture made it seem like Prince was from a Royal family.

He elegantly placed the meat in his mouth, chewed it with his eyes closed, and then swallowed it without sparing Corey a glance.

Prince frowned after eating the piece of meat, and then Jamal spoke.

"Is the food not to your liking, Sir?"

"After having a taste of the delicacy sitting in front of me, this suddenly tastes bland in my mouth."

Prince shook his head and pushed the plate of meat and vegetables to the side.

"Wine?"

Jamal attempted to pour a bottle of red wine into Prince's cup, but Prince stopped him.

"Just give me water. I feel like I won't enjoy anything I eat or drink as long as he's in front of me."

Jamal's eyes widened slightly, and he glanced at Corey with slightly furrowed brows before filling Prince's cup with water.

Prince drank it, and then he glanced at Corey who had a completely indifferent expression with his pure white eyes.

The moment Prince glanced at Corey, he could see an emotion he was familiar with in the eyes of Corey.

Prey.

Corey was looking at him like he was prey, and he was simulating countless ways he could catch his prey.

The thought of this caused a grin to appear on Prince's lips as he dropped the cup of water.

"Now, let's get right into business."

Prince said, but Corey raised a finger, signalling for him to stop, and then he gestured at the food in front of him.

"I asked you a question before. What is the meaning of this?"

Prince glanced at the plate of meat in front of Corey, and he tilted his head to the side with a confused expression.

"What do you mean? Is the food not to your taste? It's just meat."

Corey raised his brows and scoffed, "It's just meat? You guys are truly cannibals."

Crash!

Corey slapped the plate of meat to the ground, causing the plate to shatter and the meat on it to fall to the ground.

Jamal's eyes widened and veins began appearing on his face as he stared at the shattered plate and food.

"Never give me human meat to eat again."

Corey said with a cold tone, and Prince hummed with slightly furrowed brows.

He glanced at the food on the ground and then at Corey's cold expression.

"I don't understand what the problem is to be honest."

Prince said with a truly baffled tone and expression, and Corey was taken aback. He was about to speak, but then Prince beat him to it.

"Aren't you like me?"

"What?" Corey frowned.

"You're not a human like me. So why are you so against eating the meat of humans?"

Corey remained silent and said nothing in response to Prince's words.

"Humans kill other creatures and eat them but we can't do the same to them because we're in the form of a human?"

"If I had the form of a monster, none would think that what I'm doing is wrong."

Prince paused, and then he chuckled as a thought appeared in his mind.

"Humans are very funny to me. They have this weird sense of morality, justice, and so on. It's all bullshit to me."

"Humans have this tendency to not eat anything that's humanoid but once the shape of what they want to eat is not humanoid, they can eat it without remorse."

"Take this for example. There's a large bird that can change it's shape to that of a human. In its humanoid form, humans have a problem eating it unless they're insane or cannibals, but in its bird form, humans have no problem eating it."

"Humans are hypocrites in my eyes, and I'm truly sick of them if I'm being honest with you."

"As non-humans, I believe that we can eat anything. Whether they're in the shape of humans or not."

"You're like me. You're clearly not a human, so why are you behaving like one?"
