Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 687: 686: Arise

"Now, do I look like I'm smiling?"

As Corey said these words, the expressions of Jamal and Prince changed.

Due to their enhanced senses as Tier 5s, they were able to perceive the changes in the mana around them, especially Prince who was passively devouring everything around him.

Jamal tried to pierce Corey's neck, but to his horror, he saw Corey holding his wrist and his eyes could not help but widen in shock and disbelief.

He never saw Corey move his hand, and in his eyes, it appeared as though Corey had always been holding his wrists and had not moved.

If he knew just how right he was, the shock he would have felt would have been greater.

The air shuddered, a pulse of greenish purple energy escaped Corey's body, and then the world changed in the blink of Jamal and Prince's eyes.

"What the hell?"

Prince exclaimed with a baffled expression as he quickly stood and looked around in shock.

His gaze first landed on the floor which had transformed into a swamp of corruption. The floor oozed with pale green pus that was laced with glowing veins of midnight purple.

Prince looked at his feet, and he realized that he was standing on a pus that was threatening to burst. He subconsciously wanted to take a step back in disgust but his instincts that had been honed from all the battles he had fought and also as an Apex Predator made him to stand still for now.

He shifted his gaze to the sky, and when he did, a truly baffled expression appeared on his face.

The sky had darkened, and a storm of ashen fog and sickly moonlight filled the sky.

He could occasionally see tentacles made out of dense black fog, horrifying eyes that appeared out of nowhere, gnashing mouths that radiated a familiar hunger, and nightmarish silhouettes that howled and cried in the skies.

When Prince saw all of these, he quickly shook his head to regain his senses. However, he realized something which filled him with disbelief and shock.

He had been poisoned.

The fact that the tentacles, eyes, mouths, and silhouettes were flickering in his eyes made him to realize that he was hallucinating.

A feat which should not be possible to him.

'What is this? An Imperium? No. That's impossible.'

'Imperiums are meant for Tier 7s and above. Even if he's an extremely talented Tier 3, there's no way he would have an Imperium.'

'If he did, then I might as well kill myself right here and right now.'

Prince regulated his breathing and tried to observe his body to figure out the type of poison that was in him, and if possible, expel it or destroy it.

He glanced at Corey who had at some point moved from his previous position to the sky above them, and was observing them like specimens.

No.

In his gaze that contained nothing but curiousity and indifference, it was like they were dust and he merely wanted to see how fragile two specks of dust were in his domain.

A chuckle escaped Prince's lips, and then he glanced at Jamal.

He could see a flicker of fear and uncertainty in the aura, stance, and eyes of his subordinate, and Prince knew that the poison that was causing him to hallucinate was most likely affecting Jamal to a higher degree.

'This is not an Imperium but a domain type skill.'

'I don't know much about Imperiums, but what I do know is that if this was an Imperium, I'd be dead in the blink of an eye.'

'Domain skills are rare and they're usually used as trump cards because of the absurd amount of energy that's required to not only unleash a domain but maintain it.'

'Have I ever heard of or encountered a Mortal with a domain type skill?'

'Mortals don't usually have the energy requirements for a domain type skill, and even if they do, Astral Mana is not meant to make a domain type skill this... Sturdy.'

Savage paused his train of thoughts, and then he looked around once again.

'Everything about him is wrong.'

'What is his Class? What grade is it and just how is its potential for it to give him a domain skill? And how high was his grade in his Evolution trial?'

'What is the quality and quantity of his mana, and why do I feel Mystic Force in his mana?'

'Why is the space inside his domain thoroughly sealed off. Since it's a domain skill and not an Imperium, I should be able to find an opening to teleport out of here but I can't find any. Not even a tiny gap for me to take advantage of.'

'Also, what type of poison is in his domain and how the hell is it able to affect me despite my Level 4 poison Resistance?'

'Does that mean the poison is a Tier 5 poison? But that won't make any sense. How can he concoct a Tier 5 poison as a Tier 3 and he's still alive?'

'Just who the fuck is this kid? Why does my skin tingle in his presence?'

'Why do I, an Apex Predator, feel intimidated in his presence?'

'What the fuck is he? And why has the Underworld not treated him like that bitch, Pamela? He's clearly an abomination like her.'

'... I want to devour and taste him so badly!'

A guttural growl escaped Prince's lips and his shadow twisted and formed a maw with razor sharp teeth.

Prince removed his mask, and his extremely beautiful face was shown to Corey. His red eyes glowed brightly with an intense murderous and gluttonous light.

"I've decided. I'm going to devour you right here, right now."

Corey raised his brows so slightly to the point that it seemed like it didn't, however, as a Tier 5, Prince noticed it.

"Surprising that I had the same thought."

Corey calmly and slowly spoke, and Prince was taken aback.

"What?"

Corey did not bother responding. He raised his palm, and with an indifferent tone and expression, he said:

"Arise."
