Sky-cracking Rider

Chapter 403 Section 399 - Dismissal of Bassan

A railgun on top of the mobile base vehicle directly fired at the corner of the Supreme Council.

An earth-shaking explosion spread in all directions, and dust billowed up, leaving the nearby people, caught completely off guard, stunned in unison.

Cannon fire!

In the core area of the Neanderthal tribe's reserve, a bombardment had occurred, targeting the supreme governing body of the Neanderthal tribe.

The entire reserve, whether they were from the Neanderthal tribe or not, immediately erupted into chaos.

Luckily, Chieftain Bassan's initial orders had been thoroughly implemented. Apart from the main hall, there were no people in other areas of the Supreme Council, so the blast, besides tearing a large hole in the building, caused no actual casualties.

It did, however, severely frighten those inside the hall.

Not just the people outside, even the elders of the Supreme Council, and even members of Unit 04 were dumbfounded.

HOW-DARE-YOU!

The old driver's audacity was no ordinary matter!

Don't forget that he was still inside the Supreme Council himself, yet he did not hesitate to fire at his own position, without fearing that he might be blown up as well?

Even an A-class ability user couldn't withstand a railgun delivering a 152 Demolition Bomb at close range, right?

"What, artificial intelligence AI rebelling, you're kidding me!"

Kro Clan Elder Motong was almost furious to the point of bursting a lung.

"I am not lying. In fact, this AI and you guys go way back!"

Chen Fei said, waggling his index finger.

He even blasted the original site of the Supreme Council, let alone this downsized replica. He had absolutely no guilt about it!

"What nonsense are you spouting! Seize him!"

Kro Clan Elder Motong pointed at Chen Fei, trembling with rage.

If the warriors of the Supreme Council were truly the elite of the Neanderthal tribe, they would have executed this command without hesitation.

But the warriors working here were mostly not Neanderthals; they were just here for work, so how could they take it seriously?

This elder, who performed and postured here every day, must have lost his mind, really thinking it was still the same as thirty years ago.

The warriors who had spontaneously gathered in the hall looked at each other, yet no one took action. They weren't police officers, not even security guards; they had no authority to restrict the freedom of others.

Despite this area having some autonomy, it still had to abide by the sovereign laws of the Yangzhou Continent mainland.

Chen Fei nonchalantly held up a megaphone that the Neanderthal Chief had just used and said calmly, "'Adam'! My AI is named 'Adam'. Sounds familiar, right?"

Using this joke again today, the irritating, bitterly sarcastic remark was filled with an inexplicably venomous undertone.

Members of Unit 04 looked at Chen Fei with expressionless faces. At this moment, to use this joke... was that really appropriate?

More than thirty years ago, the military AI "Adam," which had almost been exterminated by the Blue Star Humans, colluded with the descendants of the Third Era Civilization, the Neanderthal tribe, and survived for a while. However, resource-depleted Neanderthals finally exhausted their last bit of war potential and were defeated by a combined force of the Blue Star Civilization and the trans-dimensional Cangqiong Civilization.

The "Adam" that colluded with the Neanderthal tribe was ultimately purged. All storage devices were physically shattered, beyond the possibility of restoration even by deities.

Speaking of the artificial intelligence AI "Adam," it really did have a connection with the Neanderthal tribe.

"What, 'Adam'!"

"You're lying!"

"Nonsense, that doesn't exist. 'Adam' has already been destroyed!"

The Supreme Council seats were in complete disarray. Rebellion of the inherently defiant AI "Adam" was as common as household chores; such shirking of responsibility was utter nonsense.

Chen Fei spread his hands helplessly and said, "The genuine 'Adam'! Don't believe me? Go check it out. If there's a single lie, here, this is me!"

At last, he made a gesture imitating a crawling tortoise.

Of course, it was the genuine "Adam." He had gone to great lengths to get it out of the American Federation. Until now, they still believed that "Adam"'s source code had not left the country, searching everywhere as if navigating a maze. It was quite amusing, and the situation was escalating.

"..."

Adrian stood there, dumbfounded.

The damn fellow!

Not only had he repeatedly destroyed the Neanderthal tribe's former and latter Supreme Councils, but he also carelessly brought up the taboo subject of "Adam," likely leaving this group of old folks with swollen faces.

As if sensing the concern of this fire mage, Holy Knight Walter Sam said, "Don't worry. In the reserve, Neanderthals are a very small minority."

Unit 04 was not lacking in clever people; boisterous, straightforward boys like Apu were indeed rare. The truly mindless could not even pass the blonde girl's test.

In order to eat, the reserve had been turned into a mega-sized theme cultural park, and Neanderthal people wandered the world to make a living, resulting in a complete imbalance in the reserve's ethnic population ratio. Organizing a revolt was simply not possible.

If the mobile base vehicle's railgun had fired directly at the hall, the Neanderthal tribe would have been wiped out on the spot.

But the truth was... Chen Xiao'er hadn't told a single lie; everything he said was a genuine, harsh truth!

"..."

The Neanderthals' Supreme Council was deathly silent.

They were no fools and could clearly discern that the so-called "Adam" and the so-called "rebellion" were nothing but pretexts from outsiders wanting to interfere with Neanderthal internal affairs, even threats.

"Even in death, don't expect us to submit!"

The Elder of the Kro Clan's eyes reddened, he simply couldn't believe that anyone would dare to commit genocide.

The Neanderthals would never submit to any form of deathly terror.

"Then go ahead and die."

Chen Fei raised his hand, and with a single swing, the railgun on the mobile base vehicle outside, ready to fire, would strike the Supreme Council Hall. If the other party was willing to die, he was certainly willing to bury them. Our uncle handles both killing and burying, a five-star superior service of the highest level.

The born scapegoat "Adam" was just right to take the blame for the extermination of the Neanderthal tribe.

After the execution-style deletion, just replicate another one!

So, the real Second Uncle, "Adam," felt no guilt whatsoever.

Adam (shivering): ... (Value-of-str-is: This person is ruthless!)

"No!!!!" ×10!

"Don't mess around, please don't mess around!"

Adrian grabbed Chen Fei's hand tightly, not doubting for a second that this ruthless man would really dare to do such a thing.

A man crazy enough not to spare even himself, what's firing at his own to him?

"Are these guys serious?!"

The outwardly crazed Elder Motong of the Kro Clan, however, saw through it all clearly, identifying the shock and panic in the actions and expressions of the strangers who had returned with Clan Leader Bassan.

That whole rebellion of the AI "Adam" was a sham, clearly just an excuse to shift the blame, and the mastermind was still that posturing man raising his hand.

A mere segment of source code, now irretrievable even by exhumation, if it had really been that "Adam" from before, he'd leap from the Elder's Seat immediately and break his neck on impact!

Elder Motong of the Kro Clan swept a glance over the crowd and powerfully proclaimed, "The motion to impeach Chieftain Bassan has 117 votes in favor and 79 against; the impeachment is passed. From this day forward, Bassan is stripped of his chieftaincy!"

He was utterly determined to forcefully remove Bassan from his position as chieftain.

The once Twelve Overlord Tribes held ten votes each, while smaller tribes held one vote each. There was absolutely no need for vote fraud at the scene, especially with such a clear margin.

Then, ignoring the gnashing expressions of the tribal elders who opposed the impeachment, Elder Motong of the Kro Clan smugly continued, "Now, let's also propose a new elder. I nominate Clemas of the Kro Clan as a warrior. Who supports, and who opposes!"

All this had been meticulously planned, merely seizing the perfect moment to burst forth without hesitation.

Being prepared in advance is a fundamental attribute of any big shot, with plans ranging from A to G as standard procedure. After all, fortune favors the prepared, and those scrambling at the last minute won't even get a hot mess.@@novelbin@@

"The Mo'an Tribe supports!"

"The White Fang Tribe supports!"

"The Autumn Tribe opposes!"

Once again, a round of hands raised in vote.

Roar roar roar...

Suddenly, the roaring sound of a motorcycle invaded the hall. Amid the shrill sound of tires screeching, a flamboyant cruiser left a long black tire mark on the marble floor of the Supreme Council Hall.

The motorcycle rider didn't kill the engine but kept it running at idle, the exhaust continuing to growl as he removed his helmet, shook his unruly hair and smirked boldly, "Wow oh oh, I heard someone mention me. Who was it?"

Elder Mabu'en of the Autumn Tribe stood up and rebuked, "Clemas, this doesn't concern you, please leave immediately!"

Then, pointing at Elder Motong of the Kro Clan not far away, he said, "Motong, this is dictatorship. Clemas is one of your Kro people; this is clearly a biased proposal for personal gain. I firmly oppose it. If it comes to it, the Autumn Tribe will fight the Kro Clan to the death!"

He was also ready to go all out. Since the other party had forcibly moved to impeach Chieftain Bassan, he would not allow them to ultimately prevail even if it meant a bitter split of the Neanderthal tribe. If they wanted the chieftaincy, let it be an empty title fragmented to pieces!

Mabu'en's resoluteness also garnered some support, though not many, mostly the leaders of smaller tribes, but altogether, it was enough to cause significant damage within the entire Neanderthal tribe.

Elder Motong of the Kro Clan scoffed coldly and said, "Then bring forward a candidate of your own. According to the traditions of the Neanderthal tribe, respect is earned through strength, and only a true warrior can become a chieftain!"

Warriors of the Neanderthal tribe had long been in decline, and those who inherited the traditional secret techniques were few and far between, like a couple of kittens.

What's the use of secret techniques if they can't compare to special abilities, to magic, or to Battle Qi? They were already outdated!

Clemas of the Kro Clan was a warrior second only to Chieftain Bassan in strength. Compared to him, the remaining warriors of other tribes were leagues apart.
