Chapter 407 - 406: Alien Realm Inheritance
Chapter 407: Chapter 406: Alien Realm Inheritance
Deep within the Rock Mining Land of the Stone Tail Tribe, as far as the eye could see, there was nothing but emptiness all around, not even a tree in sight. Only sparse weeds burst through the soil, greedily soaking up the dim light nearby.
“Old man hasn’t sensed anything.”
“Sorcerer Ivan, is it possible that they were mistaken? There clearly seems to be nothing here. Swamp ant boss, what do you say?”
In this place, neither Meg nor Flame Scorpion could sense anything out of the ordinary, which was puzzling.
Hearing Flame Scorpion’s words, the swamp ant that had just emerged from underground shook its head, indicating that it too had discovered nothing.
“If it were so easy to find, it wouldn’t be our turn to come here. The Stone Race would have taken it all long ago.” Ivan also hadn’t sensed anything, but this was indeed the place where those of the Stone Tail Tribe had witnessed unusual phenomena.
...
One person could be mistaken, but a group of different people, at different times, spanning over several decades, surely could not all be experiencing visual delusions.
Perhaps some essential condition was lacking.
Lineage?
A key item?
Time?
Ivan did not know and had to explore thoroughly.
He had enough patience; he then tried various methods in turn: Helen’s bloodline essence, the tidal Royal Family’s token—the black crown, the throne of the Centaur Race, the iron stone seal, secret phrases from ancient books, his own Combat Energy, various probing attacks, and so on.
Many methods were employed, yet all yielded nothing.
However, after staying here for several days, he inexplicably felt that what he was searching for was indeed in this place, and he was certain of it.
As a sorcerer, he would not have an unfounded feeling.
He understood that this might be a sensing, something that was attracting him, drawing him closer.
“More troublesome than expected, I have to see what’s going on.”
Ivan had explored numerous secret realms and lands in the past. Never had he encountered such a stubborn place, stirring his competitive spirit.
After searching meticulously for another half a month, he took out the symbol of his status of Five Leaves Spear—the Book of Enlightenment.
When he was first promoted to the rank of Chairman with Four Leaves, the Book of Enlightenment was imbued with a portion of the Prophet’s Power, which could be utilized to perform the Prophetic Secret Skill twice.
At this moment, the help of the Prophetic Secret Skill was needed.
Ivan held the Book of Enlightenment, with his hopes within, and activated one of the Prophet Seals.
A stream of light, tinged with purple, flew out. The light was particularly ethereal, circulating around him for one round before merging into the air ahead and disappearing silently, as if nothing had happened.
In a trance, a sequence of images appeared in his mind.
The River of Star Realm shone brilliantly in the nine heavens, falling onto a certain place on the Earth, illuminating a divine mountain made entirely of colorful light. The scene shifted, revealing a Centaur silhouette raising a black crown, blood-dropping to certify its identity, coming before the steps that lead to the Holy Mountain.
“So it is, to ascend Seven Gods Mountain indeed requires the right timing, waiting for the day of Star Shining.”
In the sorcerer world, there is talk of the night of the declining moon, and correspondingly, there is also talk of the night of the full moon.
Similar to the full moon, Star Shining refers to the days when starlight is at its most resplendent.
This ‘starlight’ does not refer to the stars but the legendary Star Realm, said to be known as the ‘River of Star Realm’. When the light of the River of Star Realm shines upon the Danaila World, the peak of its brilliance is the apt time for ascending to Seven Gods Mountain.
Ivan also hadn’t anticipated that Seven Gods Mountain was actually linked to the legendary Star Realm; this heightened his anticipation.
“Judging from the images, Seven Gods Mountain seems more like a legacy that originated from an alien realm, not something belonging to the Centaur Race. It was merely discovered first by the Centaurs who then added a layer of protection around the mountain, preventing other races from entering.”
“No wonder the sensing is so vague; it turns out to be the protective layer set by the Centaurs causing trouble.”
From another perspective, the fact that he could sense anything at all was indicative that as the Centaur Race weakened, the strength of the protection they laid down was also waning, far from its glory days. @@novelbin@@
This was undoubtedly advantageous for him; perhaps Helen’s bloodline essence could bluff its way through, without the need for a forced entry.
“As expected of the prophetic ability, it’s incredibly convenient for tracking signs, a pity that only one chance remains.”
Sorcerer Ivan put away the Book of Enlightenment, and what followed was a wait for Star Shining Day.
Deep in the Rock Mining Land, under his instruction, the swamp ant and Meg worked together, constructing a simple yet not-so-simple temporary residence that resembled a mountain wilderness courtyard.
And so, they settled there.
Star Shining Day did not have a specific date; it could be half a month away, or half a year, or even a year. Since Ivan himself could not predict it, he resorted to the most pragmatic method, patiently waiting for the day that would inevitably come.
Time passed, day by day, until one day more than a month later.
“The light of the Star Realm is starting to become active.”
“Where?”
“You don’t understand. You can go back and flip through a high-level overview of astrology.”
Ivan felt that his luck was fairly good; he didn’t have to wait a year or more. Once he discovered something, he immediately summoned the swamp ant and others to enhance their perception to avoid missing any anomalies.
Outside the Holy Mountain, the protection of the Centaur Race was a very powerful isolating force.
The reason why the Seven Gods Mountain was rarely known was that it was isolated by this force.
He did not act rashly, watching from day to night, and from night to three in the morning, when at last, not far ahead, an abnormal light appeared, dazzling with colors, showing stairs leading upwards to some sacred place.
“Go!”
Just as the light was about to disappear, Ivan seized the moment. Comparing it to the scene he had seen in the prophecies, he sent the black crown he had obtained from Helen, wrapped in tidal Combat Energy, flying towards it.
The black crown landed precisely in a certain empty space.
This action triggered a chain reaction, and in a blink of an eye, a golden door appeared, devouring the incoming black crown and transforming it into a pattern on the door.
The golden door slowly opened.
“Wait here for me to come out.”
Ivan leapt to the front of the small golden door, leaving behind a sentence before stepping inside alone.
Inside the door was a golden passage, and ahead was another small golden door. He flicked a drop of Helen’s blood essence onto it, and just like before, the blood essence immediately melded into the door.
This time the reaction was several beats slower, and there was no response for a long time.
Ivan casually reached out, and a silver blade as tall as he was quietly emerged, its edge sharp and chilling.
“Ka-ka—-”
Just as he was determined to force his entry, the golden door in front of him slowly opened with a creak, and the gaps were filled with intense colored light. It seemed as if the door was being forcibly pried open by the colored light.
At the same time, Ivan felt a strong calling, urging him to move forward quickly.
Seeing such a strange situation, he did not hesitate at all, quickly sheathed the Silver Moon Blade, and dashed through the half-open door, plunging into the colorful light.
In the Rock Mining Land, as the golden door in front disappeared, Sorcerer Ivan also vanished without a trace.
Only leaving behind the swamp ant, Meg, and Flame Scorpion looking at each other in bewilderment.
“What a pity; we didn’t get to see any Holy Mountain.” Flame Scorpion spoke out to break the silent atmosphere.
“It’s enough if Sorcerer Ivan can see it. We only need to stay here and wait,” the swamp ant replied indifferently, and it suddenly changed expression, shouting behind it, “Who’s there? Come out.”
“Folks, it’s me Feyn. I just came to have a look, no ill intentions,” Clan Leader Feyn from the rock tail tribe emerged from the darkness.
“Did you see it?” the swamp ant frowned as it stared at him.
“Hmm, that must be the Seven Gods Mountain that Sorcerer Ivan was looking for. I didn’t think it actually existed,” Feyn said candidly, taking several large steps forward.
“Clan Leader of the rock tail tribe, no matter what you saw, I advise you not to tell anyone,” the swamp ant emphasized sternly. “Once you let slip and cause other issues, it will only be your rock tail tribe that suffers.”
The swamp ant did not believe that someone who could be a clan leader was simple-minded. It had no idea if the other party might become greedy, so it had to make the ugly warning up front to prevent rash actions.
Hearing this, Feyn repeatedly assured that he would not, his expression seemingly earnest.
What do you think?
