Chapter 452 - 451: Goodbye Jenny
Chapter 452: Chapter 451: Goodbye Jenny
In the Hunting Space, a miraculous scene emerged.
The space was split into two parts, one bathed in bright sunlight, the other dark and dim. The former seemed more real, the latter more illusionary, as if two different worlds had intersected.
In fact, this was indeed a bridge between two worlds.
“Sorcerer Ivan, it’s been a while, how have you been?”
“Of course, didn’t you receive the message I sent earlier? I’ve now made my choice, comprehended my own Witchcraft Domain Aura, and made significant progress in solidifying my witchcraft crystals—”
Standing under the bright sunlight was Ivan, while on the other side was Jenny, whom he hadn’t seen for many years.
...
From Ivan’s perspective, the scene opposite him resembled the image displayed on an old black-and-white television set, but this did not affect Jenny’s appearance and demeanor; she was still elegantly beautiful.
Perhaps due to her long-held high position in the Komor Empire, Jenny exuded an added aura of a high-ranking leader.
Ivan’s guess was correct; after leaving the special place of the Great Sky River, through the connection between the Silver Moon Blade and the Dark Moon Blade, they finally met ‘face to face.’
“Not long ago, I and the swamp ant went to the Great Sky River, and we were lucky to encounter a critically wounded Cliff Mountain tortoise from the Star Realm—ultimately, the Silver Moon Blade was repaired.”
Seeing that she was more concerned about his situation, Ivan briefly outlined his recent itinerary.
After listening, Jenny gazed at him pensively and sighed, “You’ve really taken quite the risks.”
“Risks? Not particularly, most situations were within my expectations. As for the risks, one must take them while alive, and death—well, death hardly solves everything,”
Ivan responded casually.
In the Danaila World, death was not the end; after death, a body could turn into an undead, and consciousness might mutate into a Spiritual Body, etc.
Then, he asked about Jenny’s situation.
In recent years, Jenny had been staying primarily in the Komor Empire, spending much of her time in Yuyue City. With the Dark Elves being powerful, they had long been the dominant force in the southern region of the underground first layer, so no significant events occurred within the empire.
There were, however, minor internal disputes caused by certain tribal matrons, which Jenny easily resolved.
The name of the Holy Daughter spread further across the empire.
Regarding strength, Jenny was still at the stage of a Fake Lord, continuing to develop her Earth power. Sometimes she also explored the abilities associated with the Wood element, a suggestion made by the Dark Night Mother Goddess.
“That advice from the divine should certainly be impeccable.”
When she asked for his opinion, Ivan had no objections.
Ivan then mentioned the situation in the sorcerer world and his plans, deciding to advance to a Level 4 Sorcerer as quickly as possible.
“That means I’ll have to return to the surface immediately—” Jenny became restless upon hearing this.
“Wait, I said as quickly as possible, not that I would do it right away,” Ivan waved his hand, signaling her to stay calm, “You should understand, advancing to Level 4 is no trivial matter. Another eight or ten years, or even twenty or thirty years, would still be considered quick.”
“That is also true.”
Jenny took a moment to reflect and then calmed down.
“No matter what, even if Lady Lilibet doesn’t allow it, when you advance to Level 4 Sorcerer, I must stay by your side. This is my highest duty and reason for existence as Jenny Elthrop,” she then stressed emphatically.
“Alright!”
Ivan sensed her firm resolve and nodded deeply.
Suddenly, a figure appeared not far behind Jenny; Ivan’s gaze sharpened.
“Jenny, as the Holy Daughter, you must not be disrespectful to the Mother God.” This was a short, elderly-looking tree person, speaking slowly, as if just awoken from sleep.
“I’m sorry for disturbing your slumber, Inom.” Jenny belatedly remembered that mentioning Lilibet’s name could wake the old tree guardian.
“No worries, is he the human sorcerer you often talk about?”
“Yes, he is Sorcerer Ivan,” Jenny introduced the two individuals. “Sorcerer Ivan, this is Inom, the Mother God’s warrior guardian, whom you’ve met before.”
“This is Mason.”
Ivan had indeed met him once before, but only saw him during his dormant state.
He thought for a moment, then decisively pulled the shadow blood tree, Mason, over to introduce him to the two. In terms of status, Inom and Mason should be the same.
However, both tree people were the silent type and didn’t talk much before they each left.
“Jenny, the swamp ant lacks strong offensive means, I want to ask you for guidance.”
“No problem, I will guide it well.”
As they were about to finish this communication, Ivan mentioned the swamp ant’s request. Jenny had no reason to refuse; she was eager to share all she could so that the swamp ant could properly guard Sorcerer Ivan.
At that moment, Jenny made up her mind to teach the swamp ant until she was satisfied with it.
However, the swamp ant didn’t realize that when it brought up its problem, it was no longer in control; it would have a long period of hard learning ahead, making it feel as if it was in deep trouble.
In fact, several days had passed since Ivan had contacted Jenny on his return to Sky Flow Valley.
The Great Sky River had already closed off, returning to being forbidden land.
This exploration journey had been well-prepared by the sorcerers dispatched from Sky Flow Valley, and the tally at the end showed only a few casualties, merely a single-digit number, which wasn’t surprising at all.
Outside of Sky Flow Valley, it was said that other forces suffered heavy losses, some even completely wiped out; after all, exploring the unpredictable Great Sky River was always bound to be perilous. @@novelbin@@
In East Capital guild, two Level 2 sorcerers died; one of them was Yosef, but it didn’t cause much disturbance.
People had to take responsibility for themselves, and exploration naturally entailed risks; death was indeed normal.
Up to now, Chairman Hardy hadn’t announced to the people of East Capital when they would leave nor issued any new orders. Ivan and the others could only busy themselves with their tasks, staying in Sky Flow Valley, waiting for new instructions.
Time passed day by day.
“Ivan, have you heard?” One day, Morris and Gloria hurriedly visited, with Morris speaking in a mysteriously excited manner.
“Heard what?” Ivan looked at them, puzzled.
“About the Star Realm Gate, it will soon be activated again. This is a rare opportunity to see the mysterious sights of the Star Realm,” Morris said excitedly.
“I see,” Ivan nodded, then curiously asked, “Are you planning to go?”
“I—I’ll see,” Morris stopped at that.
Compared to the Great Sky River, the dangers contained within the Star Realm were even more significant, even just through the Star Realm Gate. His curiosity was momentary and not worth taking such great risks.
“Then what’s there to be excited about?”
Ivan looked at him speechlessly; he was ready to back out so soon.
“Was I excited?”
“What do you think?”
“I’ll just watch from a distance, not get close, haha.”
Worried that he would continue dwelling on this topic, Morris came hurriedly and left just as quickly, with Gloria always by his side. Ivan found it quite amusing.
As for his statement about staying away yet observing the sights near the Star Realm Gate, that was simply nonsensical.
By then, heavy defenses would surely be erected around the Star Realm Gate. It would be tightly shielded, and they probably would even seal the space around it tightly.
What do you think?
