Chapter 533: Chapter 531: Prophet’s Treasure Tome
A Pseudo-Lord Level Sorcerer was a Level 3 Sorcerer, whereas a Lord Level meant an Arcane Wizard, crossing this vitally important step was akin to shedding mortality and entering divinity, viewing all things in the world with entirely different perceptions.
Ivan only now realized how narrow his use of the Holy Artifact, the Silver Moon Blade, had been.
“Sorcerer Ivan, I have come to bid you farewell, I am afraid I won’t be able to contact you for quite some time.”
That day, within the meditation room of the Golden Rock Tower, there was a disturbance from the Silver Moon Blade. Ivan did not enter the hunting space but, with a casual wave of his hand, a light screen floated before him.
The image of Justine was clearly displayed on the screen.
“Don’t you need me to come and guard you?” Ivan asked.
Justine was his other self, and as the other self was transforming and still at a Lord checkpoint, he, the original self, felt a bit uneasy being so distant.
Hearing his words, Justine showed hesitation.
If Sorcerer Ivan were to come over, then they wouldn’t prematurely confront the dragon-shaped black worm, which undoubtedly would be more reassuring.
“Sorcerer boy, don’t even think about any mischief, you’re not needed here.”
Abruptly, a voice filled with authority sounded, startling everyone on both sides of the screen.
It was unmistakably the voice of the Dark Night Mother Goddess, Lillibet Althrop.
“Lady Lillibet, how can you—how can you eavesdrop on my conversation with Sorcerer Ivan?” Justine quickly recovered and whispered her complaints.
“I have only noticed someone misleading you, and I came to offer a few words of warning.” A graceful and opulent figure approached, and even separated by the screen, her intense dissatisfaction could be felt.
“Sorcerer Ivan would never do that,” Justine said.
“That remains to be seen, I understand the nature of human sorcerers, they never care about the means as long as they achieve their goals,” Lillibet’s gaze at the other side of the screen was tangible.
“Sorcerer boy, don’t assume that becoming an Arcane Wizard gives you the freedom to do as you please, you’re still far from comparing to me.”
“Dark Night Mother Goddess, human sorcerer Ivan Marichardon offers you his respects.”
Ivan silently smirked inwardly, knowing what the Dark Night Mother Goddess was worried about, but he truly had no intention of taking advantage of Justine’s transformation to secretly change anything.
He was also well aware that once suspicion took root, no matter what he said, the Dark Night Mother Goddess would not easily trust him.
Feeling the oppressive force from the screen, he simply did not bother to defend himself but greeted her with a calm demeanor.
Seeing his forthrightness, Lillibet’s expression somewhat relaxed.
“Listen, I’m only going to say this once, Justine’s Lord ascension plan is very straightforward, there are no risks involved, I will take her to a place where Claudia Althrop’s power lingers, she just needs to stay there for a few years, and naturally, she will become a Lord.
With such a method, you tell me if guarding by you, a human sorcerer, is needed?”
“Indeed, it’s not needed.”
Hearing this unique method of ascension, Ivan was astounded, really feeling like people had it easier than others, making him wish to be an offspring of the Mother of Earth Core himself.
“As long as you know.”
“Then I entrust Justine to your care.”
“Justine is my person, you don’t need to thank me.”
Lillibet’s tone was no longer aggressive, but she still guarded against him, so Ivan and Justine didn’t chat for long and hastily ended the communication.
The light screen vanished, and the pressure Ivan felt disappeared with it.
“This situation has become— well, nevermind, it is still a good thing in the end.”
Of course, he felt stifled, but he had no solution; the higher his strength, the more keenly he became aware of the vast disparity in strength between himself and the Dark Night Mother Goddess.
Then, with a simple stroke, he stowed away the Silver Moon Blade.
Unlike before, this time he didn’t let the Silver Moon Blade transform into a pattern that clung to his back, but rather gathered it up in a semi-sealed manner.
The Silver Moon Blade was fine, but it didn’t fully belong to him, and he wasn’t planning to make substantial use of it for the time being.
Likely, it would also be difficult to make substantial use of in the future.
After all, it was originally a fragment of a weapon crafted by the Dark Night Mother Goddess herself, a Holy Artifact, and no matter how it was dealt with, it probably wouldn’t escape the Dark Night Mother Goddess’s control.
On this point, Ivan felt quite regretful.
A few days later, Ivan fulfilled another promise, arranging a residence for Tanaya within the Golden Rock Tower, which had just doubled in space. He immediately informed her that she could move in.
Upon receiving the message, Tanaya hurried over, bringing Gerry and Mara with her.
“Ivan, I need to do a bit of remodeling.”
The residence was located on the middle level of the Golden Rock Tower, a level that spanned four thousand acres. Aside from the newly expanded area, the original location was a lush forest. It was no problem to carve out a secret realm garden from the forest.
Seeing the secret realm garden, Tanaya had no complaints; however, she requested to do some remodeling herself.
“Of course, this is your territory now.”
“Hehe, remember what you just said.”
Tanaya was clearly delighted to hear this, as it proved she hadn’t misjudged this time. She thought of something, “Now that I, the pretender, have moved in, do I need to send someone to East Capital to pick up Angie and the others?”
Among Justine, Pearney, Angie, and Dan Lin, her relationship with Angie, who was also a Knight, was better.
“Let’s wait until I’ve chosen the land and determined the garrison location,” Ivan said offhand. He himself would return to East Capital soon enough, so there was no need to send someone to fetch them.
“Alright.”
Tanaya had only asked casually and then brought up another matter, “No rush on remodeling this place, why don’t we go somewhere together? I promised earlier to show you the Prophet’s Treasure Tome.”
“I’d be delighted.”
Ivan was, of course, very interested in the Prophet’s Treasure Tome, which might be related to the Light of Wisdom.
With that, the group of four left Golden Rock Tower.
Now that Ivan was an Arcane Wizard, he also had the authority to fly up and down Truth Peak. Once they stepped out of the tower, they took off toward the outer city of Truth City on the swamp ant.
Compared to other cities, the academic atmosphere of Truth City’s inner city was exceptionally dense, which related to its residents being official sorcerers.
Moreover, the inner city was right next to the High Council; although there were hedonists among the sorcerers, they would not come here to avoid upsetting those above.
The swamp ant flew leisurely over the city, careful not to make too much noise for fear of disturbing those diligent scholars.
In no time, the group left the inner city, reaching the outskirts of Truth City’s outer city.
Feeling the air around it no longer as heavy, the swamp ant couldn’t help but speed up. Following the direction Tanaya pointed, they pressed on, eventually reaching a vast lake nestled between mountains.
“Here we are. This is Five Leaves Spear’s branch located in the outer city—Green Lake Palace.”
Through layers of illusionary mists, Ivan’s gaze fell upon many buildings on the lake, neatly arranged and strikingly beautiful, resembling a vacation paradise.
He looked at Tanaya with confusion.
“This place was originally a modest pavilion estate owned by the Fitzgerald family. By chance, I brought the Prophet’s Treasure Tome here and then could never take it away again. I had no choice but to claim this place.
Later, based on its original foundations, it expanded several times and became an important location for Five Leaves Spear.
Once you see the Prophet’s Treasure Tome, you’ll understand why I said it couldn’t be taken away.”
Tanaya, knowing what he was puzzled about, provided a simple explanation.
Ivan nodded without further inquiry and signaled the swamp ant to fly into the palace. His arrival soon alerted the people inside.
What do you think?
