Chapter 379: Meeting Ophelia
Silva turned back human. He walked toward the castle of Ronan, determined to finish the war and end Ronan. But as he reached the doors of the castle, he felt a strange energy—it felt unfamiliar yet very familiar.
He didn't know what to do when he felt that energy. He decided to go in regardless because he didn't know what it was, but as he was about to step through the door, he felt an extreme uneasiness.
He didn't know why, but he could not shake the feeling that something was very, very wrong. And just then, an old friend came back to him.

Silva watched in confusion. What was happening? Had the system not died? How was he seeing this, and why was he seeing this?
His body slowly vanished from the terrain he stood on, and when he opened his eyes again, he stood right at the beginning—the first place he had been when he came to this world.
The place where he met Ophelia. The place where this journey started.
Silva looked up and saw Ophelia seated. She had a blank expression on her face, but when she looked up and saw Silva, she broke into a small smile, as if trying to welcome him.
Silva didn't know what was wrong with her or why she was that way, but he didn't have time for this. He wanted to understand the situation—why had the system suddenly appeared back, and why did it tell him that the seal was broken?
"I'm guessing I have a ton of questions," she said.
"Yeah, that's easy to figure out because, since the moment I was born, everything seemingly stopped making sense.
I was supposed to follow your task, find it, and fix it, but everywhere I turned, I found out that there were so many unanswered things that I couldn't wrap my head around.
I was almost assassinated by some divine being who, to this day, you haven't found. He took me back to my homeworld and tried to use Order to assassinate me.
You would think your Order has some sort of security against such a thing, but no, it doesn't. It doesn't at all. It just let that happen, and I almost died.
As if that was not bad enough, a being suddenly started sending beings against me, putting my life at risk every single time.
Then there was the demon threat, Lily's visions, Quin's dreams, and a whole lot more that keeps on happening and happening, and I don't understand.
I ran with it. I didn't question it. I never questioned the fact that no one knows what this world is called, that no one knows why there are seemingly no other continents when there should be.
I never asked a question because I wanted to believe. I wanted to believe that you knew what you were doing and that, in due time, I would come to really understand what it is that I am doing here.
But on the contrary, I got more and more questions piled up to ask. I had more and more things that I wanted to know—more and more truths that I needed to know.
And the day I tried to speak, some being tried to silence me and take away my memories. When it got to that point, I knew I could not stand for this. I was being controlled—a puppet tied to strings, dancing to a tune that I never agreed to.
When I came here, I agreed to help you with your task, but I never agreed to become a puppet for your control.
When the system gave himself for me, he gave me a message from you, saying I should save you. I really felt like you were in distress. I started believing maybe it was not your fault.
But then, now you put another system in my head and force me into this place that I don't want to be. And now I'm looking at you, and there is no distress—just a goddess looking at me.
If the demons are out, you go deal with it. I will not be a part of this anymore," Silva said.
"So you don't care about your family then? You know they will die in this. The calamity caused by the demons is not little," Ophelia said.
"Yes, classy. So you brought me here in order to blackmail me into being your puppet?" Silva asked.
"No, that's not it, Silva. Right now, what I am doing, I should not do. And when I am done, Order will come for me. He will take me away and remove my control over this world. As a goddess, the crime is not big enough for me to die, but he will completely make sure that I can't interfere.
And that's why I sent out my message. I also need you to save me. I need you to help me get free from these chains that have bound me for so long.
True, I am not a good person. I have manipulated and used my world many times in an attempt to create something that will save me from what I am in.
This is the last opportunity I might ever get to see you, Silva, and so I'll use this time to tell you all that I can—the truth of this world.
I'll tell you of a time before the heroes and the demon kings, the full story of my world, Argon," Ophelia said in a serious tone.
What do you think?
