Chapter 386 Chapter 386: Fighting a demon
"We shouldn't rush in, Master. I understand that you want to go in as fast as possible, but that's not the best idea.
The elves will probably bring out their best defense, trying to fight the demons. At that time, they will not know who is friend or enemy, so they'll attack both us and the demons, and the demons will also attack us," Drake said.
Silva was about to give a counterargument, but he heard Elsa's voice in his head, "Daddy, look to your right."
Silva glanced at his side and saw her flying toward him in her dragon form. Her dragon was far more streamlined, maybe due to the fact that she was a lady.
On her back was Aris. When they got near, Silva decided to wait for them to land, so he went down. He transformed back into his human form, but the clones stayed as dragons and stood around them, putting them at the center.
Elsa transformed back as well. She ran and jumped into Silva's arms. Silva caught her.
"Daddy, I missed you," she said happily.
"I missed you too, Elsa. A lot," Silva said and returned her hug. To his surprise, he felt a sense of safety and warmth just from hugging her.
After he let her go, he looked at the rest and spoke. "We all understand that the situation is dire, and now it has gotten worse. The demon army is headed for the elves. I don't know their strength, but it is common knowledge that a single demon is stronger than a Demon King or Hero.
That's how bad the situation is. Battle is inevitable, but as it stands, I feel Drake's suggestion is best for now. We can't rush through this.
So I've come up with an idea that might work. As of now, you are split into groups. The first group will be led by Drake, and the second by Aris.
Each group is only allowed to take on one demon at a time if it ever comes down to a fight. That's the only way you'll stand a chance against those demons.
We are not going to engage them. This arrangement is just in case of the worst. All I want right now is to make it into the elven capital and find the others. We need to save them," Silva said.
"So how are the teams going to be, Master?" Drake asked.
But before Silva could respond, they felt a presence. Silva looked up, and there it was—a demon looking down at them.
"Y'all, get a safe distance away," Silva said. He wanted them away before anything happened here. This was not the best situation to meet a demon, but they had no other choice right now.
"Master, we will stay and fight with you," Drake said.
"Drake, if you can take down a demon alone, then stay. But if not, I am ordering all of you to move from here right now," Silva barked.
Drake saw that his master was not joking. He turned to the others. They understood what he meant and immediately started running away from the scene.
Silva unsummoned all his clones and stood there alone. He looked at the demon that was still flying right above him.
The demon had black skin, with two wings on its back and four eyes. When the others were no longer there, the demon flew down. His feet touched the ground, and he stared at Silva.

"Your actions are pointless. Even if they run away, I would be done with you in an instant, and after I am done, I'll chase after them and kill them all," the demon spoke, its voice deep and heavy.
"Wow, so we speak the same language? That's nice. You'll forgive me, though. This is the first time I am seeing a demon—one of the strongest races," Silva said.
"One of the strongest? Are you trying to insult us, you tiny being?" the demon asked.
"Why would I even insult you? I'm simply saying the truth. The Celestials exist, and so do the Dark Dragons. I am sure that you saw Dark Dragons here, and that's why you came.
But when you arrived, you felt it was impossible that they were Dark Dragons, and so you didn't ask me about them," Silva said.
The demon frowned as it listened to Silva. "Indeed, I saw Dark Dragons here and came to check it out, but I am sure that they are not Dark Dragons. What would Dark Dragons be doing here?
After the Celestials and the demons, they are the strongest race. They are the only ones we have an eye out for now, and there is no way you are the threat that we are to avoid," the demon said.
"Your stupidity is baffling," Silva said.
The demon got enraged after hearing what Silva said. He pulled out his sword and slashed without care.
The speed was out of this world. Silva's eyes could barely follow it. The blade was approaching him at a crazy speed.
'Move, move your body, move your fucking body, Silva! You haven't fought yet. You can't die. Fucking move!' Silva screamed to himself in his mind, and finally, his feet moved, pushing him out of the way at the last moment.
The blade hit the ground, and an explosion followed. The ground cracked up for more than a hundred meters. The ground trembled and shook.
"Whoa, that was a crazy attack. It seems I'll have a good fight for the first time in a very long while," Silva said.
[Mission: Defeat your first demon]
[Reward: Level up, 10,000 SP, Temporary Status of Demon Slayer]
[Penalty: All stats halved]
It had been a while since Silva had a mission to complete, so seeing one now made him smile.
"I hope demons actually have the power to shatter worlds because I can," Silva said with a smile.
He immediately pulled out his sword. His wings came out, and so did his horn.
He summoned all his clones. Each one appeared, standing in swag poses, looking at the demon. Shit was about to get real.
What do you think?
