SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 402: Killing Void

Everyone stood around waiting for Silva to speak, the tree was still in the background, breaking and withering.

"The truth is, this is not my first life," Silva stated. With that, there were immediate looks of confusion on their faces as they didn't know what he meant by that.

"I once lived in a world called Earth, a place without magic, without other races, without mana, without everything you have here.

It was a world purely ruled by humans, and other races were just dumb animals that lived in the forest for the amusement and survival of humans.

That world was the first world I was born into, my home, and my name there was not Silva—it was Reo. I was Reo before Silva.

But one night, I wanted to take in air, a ritual I always did nightly. It allowed me to think and relax. But that night, there had been a robbery around the area, and the robber was running in the direction of my house.

Do you remember the weapons I tried creating? The guns? That world had enough of them; a person could easily get one, and that robber had one.

He saw me and pulled the trigger at me. The bullet went through my lungs. In a normal case, a bullet to my lung should have never killed me instantly—I should have had enough time to be saved.

But I suffered something called shock. The trauma from the bullet caused my nervous system and brain to go into a protective shutdown, and it caused me to die immediately.

That was the end of me in that world. I thought it would be the end of me entirely—maybe I would go to hell or to heaven.

But as I opened my eyes, I saw Ophelia, the goddess."

"You met the goddess?" Amber's father asked in shock.

"Yes, more than once. I have talked with her a lot," Silva said. A look of shock was plastered on the face of Amber's father.

"Ophelia had saved me. She told me that she needed my help in her world—she wanted me to fulfill a task for her.

So she allowed me to choose my legacy by random, and I was given the legacy of the dark dragon—the greatest legacy that existed, according to her.

After that, it was time to begin my journey in this world, so I was sent to be born as the son of a noble, Herron. But my legacy and potential didn't show immediately, so my father thought of me as worthless.

It was then that he asked that I be killed, but my mother fought for me and asked that I be at least sent somewhere else to grow.

He agreed, and I was sent away—to my new family, to meet you guys: Quin, Lia, Mom, Dad, and Mike. That was how you became the family of a dark dragon.

That's the truth of how I came to be in this world, why I did things the way I did. I would receive coded messages from Ophelia, and I had to solve them to understand what task she wanted me to carry out.

But even though I was carrying out her tasks, I never understood the gravity of them or why she was telling me to do them.

Back then, I had no idea that I was supposed to stop the coming of the demons, and I failed that. But that failure was not all too bad, you know, because Ophelia finally told me the truth.

The truth that we have all been puppets, living in this world under her control. All of you have lived former lives as well—but not in different worlds, rather on different continents in this world, Argon.

There had been seven Lilys before you, and you are the eighth one. Their names were not the same, but they were you.

She did this because she was trying to create a dark dragon that would free her from the captivity she is in. I know this is a lot to digest, but I'll tell you more over time. Right now, Void is coming. He wants to stop me because I have told you all secrets that should have never been revealed," Silva said and turned around, and a rip in space was forming.

Normally, all the others would already be on the ground without their memories, but Silva's divine energy blocked that from happening.

The Void stepped out, its eyes glowing as it glared at Silva. Silva pulled out his sword and got into a stance.

[Your divine energy has bypassed the seals of the Abyssal Blade.]

[Congratulations on fully unlocking the Abyssal Blade, Original Blade.]

Silva received a notification he was not expecting. The blade he was supposed to use to kill a hundred people had suddenly unlocked. Was it because he was a demigod now?

"Master, shall we take down the vermin that is before us?" the blade suddenly spoke right into Silva's mind. Silva was surprised, but he liked it—the blade seemed far more powerful now.

"Yes, it is time we rid this world of a hindrance like Void," Silva said as he pointed his sword at Void.

Void tried to move, but before he could even take a step, Silva slashed, and a black flame shot out. The flame burned hot, with compressed temperatures greater than the sun.

It ripped through Void without stopping and continued to obliterate the wall behind it. The body of the Void crumbled to dust right there.

Silva waited for a kill notification, but nothing came.

"System, what happened?" he asked.

[Only beings with a certain threshold of divine energy can give EXP.]

"It seems a lot has changed now," Silva said.

As Void died, Aaron got back the memories of what had happened that night and his battle with Void alongside Silva.

"Silva, did you and I ever fight that creature before?" Aaron asked.

"Oh, seems you have your memories back. Well, that's good because we did fight it. It was when you asked about the possibility of other continents existing.

Back then, we could not even lay a finger on it," Silva said with a chuckle.
