Chapter 25 Tuoba Siyu Breaks Into the City Lord’s Mansion, Provoking and Slapping Him in the Face
The Yaksha Clan was one of the major clans within the Three Thousand Realms. Vast in number, their presence could be found in nearly every realm.
Born with immense strength, the Yaksha Clan was fierce, bloodthirsty, and endowed with astonishing vitality, making them difficult to kill. A human cultivator of the same realm would find it nearly impossible to survive against a Yaksha unless they were exceptionally talented or armed with powerful artifacts.
When encountering Yaksha in the wilderness, many cultivators would choose to avoid them, preferring to steer clear of conflict whenever possible.
But now, standing before a trembling man whose legs were shaking, Tuoba Siyu radiated a menacing aura, his black hair billowing with unrestrained killing intent.
“How dare they plot against the Young Master in secret! Such audacity deserves death!”
In Tuoba Siyu’s eyes, the Young Master had only just begun his journey through the world and had not yet interacted much with others. How could he have provoked anyone? This was clearly the work of someone with malicious intent!@@novelbin@@
“Young Master, allow me to handle this matter,” Tuoba Siyu said respectfully, tossing the trembling man aside before turning back toward the palace.
The Young Master nodded slightly. “Go ahead,” Gu Changsheng replied, lost in thought. He couldn’t recall having met anyone who might harbor animosity toward him.
Could it be that my arrival in this city had disrupted someone’s plans?
At this moment, Su Xiaoxuan hesitated and said, “Young Master, could it be another prominent figure behind this? I’ve heard rumors that another young figure from the Gu Family arrived in Northern Wilderness City before you did, personally received by the city lord.”
Hearing this, Gu Changsheng’s eyes narrowed slightly. That sounded plausible.
Before arriving in Northern Wilderness City, he had been warned by his family that the younger generation of this era was filled with formidable individuals. None were easy to deal with.
However, such a crude tactic seemed too underhanded.
“Unlikely to be him directly, but it might be someone related to him,” Gu Changsheng mused.
In the City Lord’s Residence.
Gu Zhenxuan, dressed in a pristine white robe, stood with his hands clasped behind his back, his brows furrowed slightly. He hadn’t expected that while he was cultivating, such an incident would unfold—and worse, that it involved someone he trusted.
“Why was this matter not reported to me beforehand?” he asked coldly, his gaze fixed on the Yaksha kneeling before him.
“Please forgive me, my lord. This was a decision I made on my own, without consulting you,” the winged Yaksha replied, his face filled with remorse.
He regretted his impulsiveness. At the time, seeing so many cultivators inquiring about Gu Changsheng’s location while his own master remained unnoticed had sparked a moment of jealousy and irritation. He had devised this crude scheme to embarrass the other party, only to realize now how foolish and flawed his plan truly was.
“Enough. Since your intention was to serve me, I won’t hold you accountable this time. But let this be your final warning,” Gu Zhenxuan said indifferently, his eyes briefly flashing with a terrifying divine light before returning to their usual calm.
Now that he is in need of people, he can’t punish his subordinates for such a small matter.
At most, he will blame them verbally.
Yaksha felt relieved and hurriedly said, “Thank you for your forgiveness, my lord.”
At that moment, a deafening boom echoed outside the City Lord’s Residence. Streaks of divine light pierced the sky, and the surrounding protective arrays activated in response.
“Who dares trespass in my City Lord’s Residence?!”
“Ah…”
The guards who rushed to intercept the intruder were flung aside by a tremendous force, their ribs shattering as they crashed to the ground.
A towering figure with wild black hair stormed in, wielding a long halberd. His body emanated a demonic aura, and with a single swing of his weapon, he shattered the protective formations in his path.
“Yaksha! Come out and face your death!” Tuoba Siyu roared, his voice like rolling thunder. The overwhelming force of his words left many cultivators covering their ears in pain, their faces pale with shock.
“This man’s vitality is terrifying!”
“Wait, I recognize him—he’s the follower of the Gu Family’s Divine Son! He was the one driving the chariot that day!”
Witnessing the commotion, the gathered cultivators were stunned, unable to comprehend the reason behind such a direct assault.
“Please, young man, hold your hand. Don’t destroy my gates,” came a calm voice from afar, accompanied by a soft cough.
A moment later, a beam of divine light streaked across the sky, and atop it stood a middle-aged man in a green robe. His posture was upright, his gaze as brilliant as the stars, and his white hair cascaded like a silver river. He exuded an air of unshakable authority, his cultivation profound beyond measure.
This was none other than the City Lord of Northern Wilderness City.
Recognizing Tuoba Siyu, the City Lord’s expression turned wry.
After hosting Gu Zhenxuan, he had learned of the apparent tension between the two Gu Family prodigies. Initially, he had planned to visit Gu Changsheng but had refrained to avoid any complications. Now, caught in the middle of their feud, he found himself in an unenviable position.
Tuoba Siyu glanced at the City Lord indifferently and continued, “Yaksha! Come out and face your death!”
Inside the palace, Gu Zhenxuan’s expression briefly darkened. Thunderous energy flickered in his gaze. Without Gu Changsheng’s tacit approval, he refused to believe that this brute would dare storm the City Lord’s Residence.
To him, this was no mere provocation—it was a direct challenge, an outright humiliation.
“Master, allow me to deal with this insolent fool. I’ll bring you his head,” the Yaksha said, licking his lips as his eyes glowed with bloodthirsty intent.
Since he was accepted as a servant by Gu Zhenxuan, the Yaksha had already reached the Heaven Splitting Realm, standing among the elite of his peers.
What do you think?
