We glide down the wide corridor while checking the map with the city system.

Jin finally notices us approaching and starts to run, but we are much faster. We catch up by the time he turns the corner.

Alisha kicks the wall and turns while sliding. And what caught Alisha’s eye is――The muzzle of a gun pointed toward me.

Jin’s eyes are filled with hatred. The gun he is pointing at Alisha is a portable incinerator gun. It must have been from Angus Onii-sama’s research. While weapons from the city system cannot be summoned inside the Royal Tower, portable weapons can be brought in.

His hair and eyes are the same color as the former king. And his darkly tanned body is slender yet well-trained, making him slightly different from the other members of the Royal Family.

The hostility he is directing directly at Alisha makes Alisha tremble.

“Alisha heard about what happened. Please, stop it! Why don’t we all just get along!” (Alisha)

“Get along with each other? Don’t be so naive! Do you know how long it took for me to get to Code――If you die, everything will go according to my plan!” (Jin)

No good. Alisha immediately realized that Alisha is not going to go through with him. Jin Onii-sama has no intention of talking to Alisha.

Jin Onii-sama――Jin, the person before Alisha, is an enemy. Someone who is trying to use this Code for his own selfish gain, an enemy.

“Cry………… Go ahead and please take care of the Royal Staff. Alisha’ll defeat Jin Onii-sama myself.” (Alisha)

“Eh?! But――” (Cry)

Cry is shaken by what Alisha said. He is probably trying to say that the right decision is for the Royal Guard to stay behind.

But Alisha has to defeat Jin. Such is the nature of the battle for the throne.

“What an idiot! Only those approved by the king can enter the top floor! Even if you have the Royal Staff, only the members of the Royal Family can become king!” (Jin)

He is right. However, Cry can enter the top floor. Class 7 is proof that he has been directly recognized by the king.

It is true that Cry will not be able to become king, but it is for the eventuality of Alisha losing.

When Alisha asked Nora Onee-sama for the throne, it was partly a way of getting back at my sister for telling Alisha how to treat Alisha’s own Royal Guards without Alisha’s permission.

Alisha is not confident that Alisha can become a great king. But Alisha has made many friends. Above all, Cry is here. With his help, Alisha is sure Alisha will become a great King of Code someday. Alisha shouts with determination.

“With everyone here, Alisha is sure Alisha can become a great king and achieve the first King of Code’s ambition――World domination! Get out of the way, you traitor!” (Alisha)

Cry let out a silly voice that was out of place in this situation. But that is not important.

Alisha will win. Alisha will win and achieve the world domination that all the Code royalty have longed for, and create the strongest Code. Then, Alisha will become the great King of Code and be praised by Cry.

Alisha breathes in and shouts to Alisha’s Royal Guard.

“Cry, when Alisha obtains the world, at that time――Alisha’ll give half of it to you.” (Alisha)

“………… Y-Yeah.” (Cry)

That’s strange…… It is completely different from the reaction Alisha had imagined he would have.
