Chapter 121 Unconvinced
Forbidden Area:
"Jeremy, didn't you explore the place?" Violet asked.
Hearing that, the Heath Family Beast Tamers and the University Beast Tamers reacted.
"Miss, you are wrong this time!"
"This kid must have stayed here the whole time."
"If he had gone to explore, he would have died."
"This kid is scared."
The Heath Family Beast Tamers voiced their opinions, but it was more like scathing attacks on Jeremy Night.
"Sister Violet, this kid is a coward."
"Look at him and his clothes. They are fine. If he faced beasts, it's impossible for him to remain unscathed."
"He just came here for fun."
The University Beast Tamers didn't hold back their accusations. They didn't like the First Year Student, and this time, they were venting their anger.
"You guys....," Violet Heath became irritated. If not for knowing Jeremy Night's combat prowess, she would have believed their words.
"Miss, this...," Vivian said. She found something amiss as well. The First Year Student looked fine. She noted that the beasts living inside the forbidden areas are stronger than those wandering in the wilderness.
"Jeremy, what happened?" Violet asked.
On the other hand, Jeremy raised his head and looked at her.@@novelbin@@
He said, "I came across corrupted beasts. They are stronger than those in the wilderness, but I stumbled across a really dangerous area."
"What?" Violet asked out of curiosity.
Others were surprised, but still, they didn't think that Jeremy Night was capable of killing Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts.
But his last sentence surprised them.
Jeremy added, "Yes, I came across a big lake. It's located in the deeper part of the forbidden area. I tried to explore, but I found that more dangerous Corrupted Beasts were living there."
"I think they are above Tier-3 at least," he added.
Violet Heath's expression changed drastically. Even Vivian's expression turned solemn. They had come here to find resources, not to poke the nest of hornets.
"Are you sure?" Violet Heath asked.
"It's true. I had to flee from the place. Fortunately, whatever the beast was, I didn't leave the area of the Black Lake," Jeremy said with a bitter smile.
He was so close to death, but these people were making fun of him.
"Miss, don't believe him. I think he found resources in that location. That's why he is creating a random story to scare us away."
"Miss, if we don't find resources, it will affect our family's development."
"Miss, we should see whether the place exists or not. If it doesn't, then this young man might be thinking about keeping the resources to himself."
"We should punish this kid for lying."
The Heath Family Beast Tamers began to attack again with their words, but somehow the University Beast Tamers were silent.
They didn't like Jeremy Night, but that didn't mean they didn't believe his words. So they waited for Violet Heath's response.
"Vivian, what do you think?" Violet asked.
"Miss, I think we should check the place. If that place is truly dangerous, we can retreat at any time," Vivian replied.
"Good," she uttered before looking at Jeremy.
"Jeremy, can you show us the location?" she asked.
The Heath Family Beast Tamers became happy. They were now ready to prove that the young man was a liar to everyone.
Jeremy was stunned. He didn't expect her to make such a decision. It was nothing but seeking death. He still recalled the scene of witnessing the hybrid crocodile beast.
He wouldn't go back again. If they wanted to go, then they could do that.
"Senior Violet, sorry to tell you. I'm not coming, but I will draw a map for you. You can check it with your team," Jeremy replied.
Violet Heath didn't know what to say. She didn't doubt Jeremy's words; that place was really dangerous, which was why he wasn't coming.
Vivian found that the young man was not lying because she didn't find anything wrong with his expression.
"Miss, I have told you. He is a coward. We can go there without him."
"Yes, miss. It's already getting late. We should leave the wilderness before sunset."
The Seniors of the Heath Family Beast Tamers argued.
"This?" Violet Heath hesitated. She didn't know why she felt it would be dangerous to go there. Both she and Vivian had fought hard battles. If they encountered similar things, it would be trouble to escape.
"Sister Violet, we will accompany you," one of the University Beast Tamers said.
If all of them left, then Jeremy Night would be left alone.
Violet Heath saw through this. She then looked at Jeremy Night and asked, "Are you not coming?"
"You will be alone here," she added.
Jeremy Night's eyes flickered. He didn't want her to go there. If something bad happened to her, he would end up in a mess as well.
The Heath Family wouldn't let him go. Jeremy felt a headache. These arrogant beast tamers were going to die, but they were dragging him into it as well.
Violet Heath saw that Jeremy Night was taking his time. She furrowed her eyebrows as she thought of something.
She said, "If you come with us and show us the way, I'll give you additional resources."
Hearing that, Jeremy Night dropped the idea of resistance.
"Alright, I'm coming," Jeremy replied.
"Damn, this kid is cunning."
"He is a First Year Student, but he is clever!"
"So this drama was all about getting resources."
"Let him play along for a while."
The Heath Family Beast Tamers were angry. They felt they were being played by a First Year Student. The University Beast Tamers were annoyed as well.
From beginning to end, Violet Heath was giving importance to that kid. So they wanted to see what he was going to do.
Some of them had already developed hatred.
Jeremy Night stood up and walked up to her.
"Let's go," he said before walking past her. He then held the katana in his right hand and started leading them forward.
Seeing that, Violet Heath and Vivian followed. The Heath Family Beast Tamers and the University Beast Tamers started following them from behind.
What do you think?
