Chapter 127 Investigation?
The following day,
Dean Carolyn arrived at her office. Sitting in her seat, she began to go through the notifications first. While she was going through them, her gaze fell on one particular notification.
"Violet Heath," she uttered in surprise.
She knew that Violet Heath had gone to explore the dangerous area. Just as she decided to open it, her gaze fell on another interesting name.
"Jeremy Night," she mumbled.
A trace of confusion appeared in her eyes. She knew both of them had gone for the same mission. Jeremy Night was on her team. So what was this about?
She clicked on the message sent by Jeremy Night.
The next second, a recorded video message started to play.
Dean Carolyn raised her eyebrows in doubt, but she began to watch.
About 10 minutes later,
The video came to an end. Her expression was solemn. Her eyes conveyed disappointment. She had always maintained a balanced relationship between the University and the Beast Taming Families.
Why? Because of this very reason: they don't regard University rules. She had no reason to doubt Jeremy Night. He was just a first-year student. For him, there was nothing to gain.@@novelbin@@
But before arriving at any conclusion, she clicked on the video message sent by Violet Heath. The video started to play. She watched with the same attitude.
About 12 minutes later,
The video came to an end. Earlier, she thought the video might be contradictory, but Violet Heath actually supported Jeremy Night. She was clearly standing on that kid's side.
This further proved that the information sent by Jeremy Night was right. Furthermore, Jeremy Night's video contained additional information about the dangerous area.
"Hmmm, typical condescending attitude of Family Beast Tamers," she said in a grim tone.
She was more disappointed by the University Beast Tamers. The University Beast Tamers were supposed to be united. But here they were divided.
Carolyn knew there were many reasons behind it. If it were any other ordinary student, he wouldn't have joined their mission in the first place.
But Jeremy Night was different. Not only was he a first-year student, but his talent was comparable to the S-Graders. He could fight across powers to kill Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts.
Jeremy Night's current fame overshadowed the 3rd and 4th year students. She thought this had all led to a hostile situation.
Carolyn sighed. She knew that the first-year students had all acknowledged Jeremy Night's status, including the Department Instructors.
But it was different for the senior years. She thought it wouldn't change overnight, but it would take time. After gaining some clarity in her thoughts,
She decided to write a reply to the messages. She was thinking about doing an unbiased investigation first. If Jeremy's statement turned out to be true, then no one could accuse him, including the Heath Family.
She knew Violet Heath might not have total control over her family. Their family matters were decided by the Inner Circle Council. If they raised any issue, she would ask them to conduct an investigation first.
Because it's an undeniable fact that Jeremy Night's Beast Taming Power was still Tier-1. It was the senior students' responsibility to look after their own lives. If they blamed someone else for their mistakes, then they would get no help from her.
The loss of lives was a serious issue. If the Central University 14 and Heath Family did nothing, then the deceased Beast Tamers' parents could seek help from the City Administration.
Which was nothing but an insult to them. The City Administration had already lost the support of the people. The recent beast invasion had taken a toll on their image.
They were looking for chances to redeem their image. If they interfered in this matter, it would surely disadvantage Central University 14.
So her decision to conduct an investigation was right.

In the following hours, she summoned a few elders and experts to investigate the dangerous area. She showed them the video of Jeremy Night.
Jeremy's mention of Black Lake and Hybrid Crocodile had caught people's attention. The Elders and experts were surprised to hear statements from a Tier-1 Beast Tamer.
But they later understood that the Tier-1 Beast Tamer was a STRIKER, which further overturned their cognition. To escape alive from the dangerous area was no ordinary feat.
But such a feat was achieved by a STRIKER, so they began to take the video message's content seriously. Dean Carolyn saw a change in their attitude.
This was the effect she wanted to see all across the campus and City A. Sooner or later, the STRIKER would be considered a formidable unit of Beast Tamers.
...
Heath Family:
Violet Heath reported to her father about the mission failure. Her father was shocked. He quickly convened an Inner Circle Council meeting.
In the meeting, the Inner Circle Elders and the Heath Family Head discussed the situation. The situation was dire because they had lost many Beast Tamers in this incident.
Violet Heath's statement revealed that the death was caused by her wrong judgment. The Family Beast Tamers and the University Beast Tamers had influenced her decision to explore the Black Lake.
While they were in discussion, the name of Jeremy Night was mentioned as well. The name of Jeremy Night was familiar to them because not long ago, they had issued warnings against other Families.
Because Jeremy Night was the representative of the New STRIKER Department. He was backed by someone influential in the Human Alliance.
So much so that his information was kept confidential. The Heath Family was aware of that. Like Dean Carolyn, they had decided not to trouble Jeremy Night.
Since Violet Heath had stated clearly that despite Jeremy's unwillingness and warning, they had gone there to explore the Black Lake.
The Family Head and others decided to investigate the incident as well. The loss of lives was not an ordinary issue. Not only had their Family Beast Tamers died, but some of the University Beast Tamers had lost their lives as well.
Violet Heath was the one leading the mission. If they didn't handle this issue properly, she could face problems.
What do you think?
