Chapter 150 150: Intense discussion
Dean's Office:
"Jacob and Jeremy, sit down first," Dean Carolyn said.
Hearing that, we sat in the nearby chairs. Jeremy couldn't help but feel awe in his heart. He didn't know there was a position called Head of the First Year Departments.
"So, what do you want?" Dean Carolyn asked.

"Dean, it's not me. But Jeremy wanted to talk to you," Instructor Jacob said.
Hearing that, Jeremy was about to speak, but the old man interjected.
"Kid, is this about the challenge letters you are receiving online? Don't worry. Now that I'm here, they won't be able to trouble you."
Hearing that, Jeremy's mouth twitched. He was not here to talk about that.
"I'm here to submit the video evidence requested by the Dean," Jeremy said in a normal tone.
But Instructor Jacob's facial expression changed drastically. He knew Jeremy Night might raise this issue because it was a matter threatening his home city. But he never expected him to collect the evidence.
Dean Carolyn's eyes flickered as well, but she was shocked inwardly. She had raised those conditions to divert the issue, but she had never expected the young man to investigate the tiger's den.
Only old man Derek was clueless.
"Care to share what this is all about?" he asked.
Dean Carolyn nodded to Instructor Jacob, and then he started to explain.
A few minutes later,
Old man Derek's expression changed. He looked at the young man before saying, "Kid, do you have a death wish?"
"Their background is not simple. Even the entire Zone 14 can't hold a candle against this single organization," he added.
"Each Zone is part of the Human Alliance. I don't think the Human Alliance would sit back and watch their cities under their zones get destroyed," Jeremy replied calmly.
Old man Derek was taken aback, his eyes flashing with anger.
"Young man, you have guts, but don't do it again. Your reckless actions might endanger the lives of others. What if the organization tried to take action on others? Would you be able to save them with your current strength?"
"You are just a first-year student, so act like one," old man Derek said with anger.
Instructor Jacob's expression grew worse. If he were in Jeremy's shoes, he might do the same, but both the Elder and Dean were looking at the overall picture.
They wouldn't take the loss of a few people seriously, but this ideology wouldn't sit well with Jeremy. As far as he knew about that kid, he would like to save everyone.
"I know you have a backer in the Human Alliance, but so do they. Do you think any illegal organization will just grow up like that?"
"They must have a backer from the Human Alliance as well. That's why the Human Alliance is ignoring them. Otherwise, they would have eliminated the organization like others," Dean Carolyn said in a cold tone.
Hearing that, Jeremy's eyes turned solemn. He knew the Dean might know about Lord Martha Smith, but he didn't expect her answer to be like this. In the end, they are weak, so they should ignore illegal activities.
Old man Derek felt bad. He knew the kid's actions were reckless, but his intentions were good. His home city was under such threat. How can someone stay silent?
"Dean, I think we should let go of this matter," old man Derek interjected.
"Yes, Dean. Jeremy is afraid another beast invasion might occur," Jacob tried to intervene as well.
On the other hand, Jeremy felt bad. He didn't do anything wrong, but why is everyone saying that it was his fault? Going after the illegal organization was not wrong.
Moreover, he just recorded some video footage; he didn't directly confront anyone. Those who had gone against him were all dead.
Sigh!
Dean Carolyn heard everyone. She let out a sigh.
She said, "You can keep the footage to yourself. It's true that I told Jacob to collect evidence, but we still don't know about them. How many backers do they have?"
"If they want, they could easily transfer your father to some other city, so don't try to raise any issues for the time being," she added.
Jeremy's expression turned ugly. It was nothing but a threat, but he calmed his heart. Though her words were hurtful, there was some truth in them.
"Okay, I will not dig further into this matter," Jeremy replied.
Only then did the faces of old man Derek and Jacob ease down.
But the next sentence from Jeremy Night stunned them.
"I want to know which zone is powerful, so much so that they are not afraid of the Mighty Order," Jeremy asked.
Hearing that, Dean Carolyn's expression turned bad. She thought that young man was understanding, but he seemed to not be giving up on this matter.
Old man Derek asked, "What do you mean by this, kid?"
"Nothing, I just want to enter a powerful zone and then join some forces that are not afraid of illegal groups," Jeremy replied straightforwardly.
Instructor Jacob's mood was getting worse. He didn't like where the conversation was going.
Dean Carolyn was angry, but she decided to answer that kid.
"The powerful zones are ranked between 1 and 10. Our Zone is ranked 14. There are other zones below as well. Each year, the Beast Tamers from the Human Alliance clear out the wilderness for new cities."
"So the number of zones is increasing each year, but the powerful ones are the top 10," she said in a solemn tone.
Jeremy's heart raced. He liked the idea of exploring the wilderness and then clearing out the lands for a new human population.
But it can't be achieved if he stays in Zone 14 forever.
"Dean, what would I have to do if I want to enter one of the top 10 zones right now?" Jeremy asked.
Hearing that, everyone understood that the kid's ambition was big. Dean Carolyn couldn't take it anymore.
She asked, "With your talent, you can shine here. But if you go to the top 10 zones, you will become average."
"There are high-tier beast tamers your age there. You will suffer if you go there," she added.
What do you think?
