STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 152: Statement

Dean Office:

"Since he is a STRIKER Department Representative, it's up to that kid," Carolyn said.

Instructor Jacob sighed inwardly. Finally, the discussion came to a good end. He had decided to warn Jeremy Night again later.

When it came to the challenge duel, Jeremy Night had said earlier that he would accept challenges if the challenger killed at least one Tier-3 Corrupted Beast.

Meanwhile,

Jeremy returned to the Department Building. When he entered the class, he found that Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone were not there.

Seeing that, he realized that they must be training. He then sat in his seat. The room air conditioner turned on upon sensing his presence.

Slowly, he fell into contemplation. It was the right time to think. Since he had decided to participate in the competition, probably next year, he didn't know whether his unknown egg lifeline beast would hatch by then.

He didn't even know whether someone could be allowed to participate as a STRIKER. It was something that concerned him, but he didn't want to tell them yet.

Everyone assumed that he was keeping his lifeline beast a secret, but he knew that was not the case. His lifeline beast needed more natural energy.

If it failed to hatch next year, then he didn't know what he would do. The unknown beast egg's situation was out of his hands. But what he could do was evolve further.

If he became a Tier-2 Beast Tamer, then his combat prowess would further increase.

Then he had decided to put aside the matter of the Mighty Order for the time being. Find exclusive stories on My Virtual Library Empire

If he got another mission near City C Wilderness, then he would go to that base to check again.

After gaining some clarity, Jeremy's thoughts turned towards another serious situation.

"The challenges," Jeremy's mouth curved into an arc.

Earlier, his mind was occupied by two issues. Now that he was relaxed, he felt like thrashing someone. Before that, Jeremy wanted to see how long they could wait.

Romeo Barrett came by himself to fight against him. He wanted to see what the other Department Representatives' decisions were.

Even if they came, he would ask them to kill at least one Tier-3 Corrupted Beast first. He had said that to Instructor Jacob, Betsy, and Daniel Stone.

Jeremy thought everyone would learn about his condition soon.

One hour later,

The first-year students learned about Jeremy Night's return. But so far, no one had gone there to meet him. While everyone was waiting, the STRIKER Department Head, Jacob Henry, released a statement.

When the students and other department instructors read it, they were all left speechless. Jeremy Night had agreed to accept the duel challenges.

But he had mentioned one condition: the challengers would have to kill at least a single Tier-3 Corrupted Beast by themselves first.

They knew it was difficult for most of them to face Tier-2 Corrupted Beasts, let alone the Tier-3 ones.

...

Elemental Department:

Inside the Elemental Department, May Lindsey is looking at the statement released by the STRIKER Department Head.

"Kill Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts first," her eyes flash with a cold glint. This statement irked her because it was meant to call out everyone, including the S-Graders.

"I thought he was a bit of a low-key loner, but the tone of the statement was a bit arrogant," May Lindsey thought.

She then stood up from her seat and told her Department Head that she was going for the hunt. If it had been any other situation, the Department Head would have raised questions and stopped her.

But not this time. Everyone had read the statement as well. When it came to the strength of Jeremy Night, no one doubted it because everyone had seen him kill Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts before.

But they didn't know about the other Department Representatives.

May Lindsey left the University in a hurry. The news reached the others as well.

Not long after, Victor Scott left the campus as well. The sudden departure of two S-Graders alarmed people. Then they came to know about the statement.

The two S-Graders were confident in their strength to kill Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts, but it was a different case for others.

The Attack Department Representative, Romeo Barrett's face was full of smiles, but his smile disappeared after reading the statement.

Romeo thought that if he didn't prove that he could kill Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts by himself, then everyone would underestimate his strength.

He had been enjoying the limelight and didn't want it to end sooner. He was not comparable to the two S-Graders, but he had set his own target as well.

So Romeo Barrett left the campus too. Next, everyone's gaze fell on the other Department Representatives. Some time ago, they had raised their voices against challenging Jeremy Night.

But they had become quiet all of a sudden.

Meanwhile,

Dean Carolyn smiled when she heard the news. She felt it was a clever idea. No one would trouble Jeremy Night this way.

Old man Derek and Jacob had left a while ago.

Jacob was inside Old Man Derek's office when he released the statement, telling him about Jeremy Night's plan.

Old man Derek agreed to help immediately.

"Ha... Ha... Ha..., I would like to see the faces of everyone," Old man Derek said with a laugh.

"Apart from the two S-Graders, I don't think anyone has the strength to kill Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts," Jacob said.

"Hmmm, S-Graders should be stronger. Why do those two kids seem to be low-key like that kid Jeremy?" Old Man Derek asked.

"I think the recent Beast Invasion has humbled everyone. Not only them; the senior years are silent as well," Jacob said with a sigh.

"It occurred while I and the other three Heads were not here," Old man Derek said with a bitter smile.

He and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Year Department Heads had gone to another zone. The distance between the zones was so large that even with advanced technology, they couldn't have reached in time.
