STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

In the wilderness, the 10 Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts looked at the sky. They heard the bird cry. It was the sound of a Tier-7 Lifeline beast.

It immediately scared the Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts. They were following the orders of the Tier-6 Corrupted Beasts who were hiding deep in the wilderness.

Because of their fear, they temporarily stopped giving commands to the Tier-4 Corrupted Beasts under them.

There are 3 Tier-6 Corrupted Beasts in the wilderness. They are hiding underground. When they heard the bird cry, they felt the threat of Tier-7 Lifeline beasts.

Then three underground worm-type Tier-6 Corrupted Beasts informed the mastermind behind them. It was another underground worm-type corrupted beast, but its strength was Tier-7.

This Tier-7 Corrupted Beast is called the Thorny Worm. Its huge body was hidden under the surface. It is around 110 feet in length.

The Tier-7 Corrupted Beast is mentally communicating with the Tier-6 Corrupted Beasts. After learning that the Tier-6 Beasts are scared, it ordered them to launch a full-scale attack.

There was no need for the Tier-2 and Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts to stand by.

After the command, the Tier-2 and Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts were released. They were charging toward the frontline. The corrupted beasts were under the fear of the high-tier corrupted beasts.

The corrupted beasts were now directing their anger toward humans.

At the same time, the Tier-7 Lifeline beast let out another cry. Elton, on its back, saw the Tier-2 and Tier-3 Beasts charging toward the frontline.

He quickly told his lifeline beast to fly deep into the wilderness.

An alarm went off, immediately alerting the city governors and the commanders.

"What is Elton doing?" one of the city governors asked. They could see the Tier-2 and Tier-3 Beasts coming toward them.

"I guess the mastermind was alerted," the city governor beside him said. He was tall.

They exchanged looks. Their eyes flashed with surprise.

"I think that the mastermind was scared of Elton. If it's true, then we can put an end to the invasion," the tall city governor said.

Jeremy Night's expression changed drastically as the alarm went off. He could see the sandstorm was wider than before. The tremors were getting stronger as well.

"Be ready!"

"Tier-2 and Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts are coming!"

Commanded Harris' voice spread across the east side. Hearing that, everyone's face turned pale.

A hint of worry flashed in Jeremy's eyes. He held the title of Tier-3 Corrupted Beast Slayer. But that was one beast. Here, an army was coming toward them.

Jeremy noticed Ken's expression was filled with fear. He was hardly able to keep his posture. The news was such that it could disrupt composure.

He then turned toward Rin. She was sweating. She had put in a great deal of effort to control the knife. The Tier-2 Corrupted Beasts would be difficult for her to handle.

When it came to Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts, he didn't want them to face them.

"Listen, I'll handle the Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts first. Until then, just block the Tier-2 Beasts," Jeremy said to them.

A hint of gratitude flashed in Rin's eyes. She felt a lot more relaxed right now.

Ken tightened his fist and said, "Thank you, Jeremy. I will definitely hold the Tier-2 Beasts back."

Jeremy nodded to them.

"Don't forget about me. It's my responsibility to fight against the Tier-2 and Tier-3 Beasts. You guys form a team with Eve to block the Tier-2 Beasts," Norton's voice sounded.

"I'm fine. Let these two join her," Jeremy spoke with confidence.

Hearing that, Norton's eyes flashed with surprise.

He said, "Don't hurry to bring out your Lifeline Beast. If the Lifeline Beast gets hurt, it will injure your mental zone as well."

"Try to hold on as much as possible," he added.

Jeremy nodded his head. He could see those who had brought out their Lifeline Beasts earlier to fight against Tier-1 Corrupted Beasts were exhausted.

They wouldn't be able to handle Tier-2 and Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts.

Jeremy then turned his attention toward the front. He could see the distance was shortening. Earlier, the bird cry of the city governor's Lifeline Beasts had killed the remaining Tier-1 Beasts.

Now they had gone deeper into the wilderness. He didn't know when they would come back. He thought it would be better if the city governor's Lifeline Beast took action again.

Seeing that the beasts were coming toward them, he started to channel the starlight energy into the katana.

The katana blade slowly shone with white light.

Rin and Ken noticed the change in Jeremy's sword. They immediately thought it was the ability of the Lifeline Beast.

Even Norton was surprised. Everyone knew about the Striker Department and Jeremy's identity as the Striker Department's representative.

They were curious about his Lifeline Beast.

Roar!

But before they could realize, the beasts' sound reached them. The Tier-2 and Tier-3 beasts were stronger and larger in size than the Tier-1 Beasts.

So many Tier-1 Beast Tamers were startled by the sound.

Jeremy saw a group of 5 beasts coming toward their direction. His eyes flickered as he observed their strength.

When the beasts got closer, he saw that one leading the group was a Tier-3 four-legged dog-type corrupted beast.

Jeremy's eyes then fell over the beasts in the group. The four beasts were Tier-2 Beasts. After confirming that, he sighed in relief.

He wanted to face one beast at a time. He didn't want to get swarmed by them.

The Tier-3 Dog Beast leaped toward him. It was 15 ft tall.

Cut!

Jeremy waited for the right opportunity. When the beast's paw got closer, he sidestepped to avoid direct contact before swinging the katana.

The katana went in a parabolic arc before cutting down the head of the beast.

Pfff!

The starlight-filled blade felt no resistance. The cut was smooth.

Thud!

The huge corpse dropped on the ground.

Slice!

Jeremy then swung the katana to slice the necks of the remaining beasts.

In the blink of an eye, his blade danced like a whirlwind in the air before slicing down the necks one by one.

Pfff!

After a couple of seconds, four more corpses dropped on the ground.
