Chapter 273- Family dinner(End)
Ethan was sitting on the roof of the mansion, looking at the clear sky while eating the sandwich.
There was beer resting on the other side which he drank after every bite.
With all the memories, he got some old habits back. Like how he usually liked to drink whenever he felt lonely or sad.
The preparation of the war on full swing. People have been gathering, Eleanor told the leaders of all the major nations to gather their troops.
He has heard that Eleanor even called all the tribal chiefs from the elven territories for a meeting tomorrow.
In their last itinerary, they didn't have the support of elves because of their nonchalance toward Light and Darkness. However, this time it seems that Eleanor had decided to go all out.
'Having the knowledge of a possible future ...she has utilized it in the best possible manner...' He hates her, down to his core. However, if someone perceives her methods and assesses whatever she has done until now, they would end up praising the girl.
While Ethan, Emily, and Nora were emotional—those who acted on their instincts and prioritized their feelings. Eleanor was different—she always had a broad vision and a definite goal.
And to reach the goal, she could take any step required. Sacrificing her friends, her classmates...the man whom she once very much respected.
But Ethan wants to ask...why all of this? In his last life, he was too blinded by the belief that Darkness means evil, and that's why he followed whatever the deities and Eleanor told him.
However, in this life, he has come to know that Darkness doesn't mean evil. Darkness can be kind and forgiving. Darkness can be peace and selflessness as well.
That aroused the question of why they were fighting the darkness. Why were they fighting something that was the literal concept of Death?
Is it really necessary?
'No point in contemplating since I know I won't get any answer...' Ethan was, and will be just used as a weapon, so point in pondering over it.

The little girl was sitting on the ground.
Around her were the eleven parchments in which the names were written.
To make it a fair contest, the baby wasn't allowed to see which parchment belonged to her parents, or Bellarine feared that she might end up choosing one of the two.
Now, everyone held their breath and waited to see whose name the little one would select.
"She is facing the one I left there." Nora excitedly muttered as she found the girl's eyes roaming over the name she wrote.
"She turned away, fufu~" Emily joked, only to get a pout from Nora.
Lilia held her breath as the little one showed interest in the parchment she left
However, as expected from a child, she lost interest right away and turned away from the parchment.
'Guess, it isn't Clementina...' The brunette maid sighed under her breath.
Jasmine encouraged, "Come on baby, just grab it~"
However, "Hey! No cheating." Emily warned, before telling the baby, "Go for any of them, baby. You are free to choose."
The little Scarlette heiress didn't hear any of them as she continued to crawl around, looking at the parchments and then turning away.
Richard chuckled, seeing even Cristina being so nervous about this.
"You should be a little stressed baby. This is about her whole life." Bellarine softly chided, seeing her son being all casual about it.
"Well, everyone must have thought carefully about it, so I know that she won't dislike it once she grows up."
Bellarine couldn't refute that since it's a fact that every night for an hour or two, she has been going through several names to come up with the final one.
"Ah!" Elizabeth suddenly exclaimed, her eyes widened when suddenly, the little girl picked up the paper which had certainly been left there by her.
'I am not dreaming right...how can she...' Elizabeth watched in great excitement and fascination as the little one grabbed the paper and looked at her mother.
"So it seems, she has made a decision." Amelia stepped forward and lifted the little one in her arms.
Taking the paper from her, she handed it to Richard.
"Congrats, Eli. Even though she doesn't like you, she chose your name." Nora praised.
"Elizabeth, you are one lucky girl," Bellarine added.
Everyone shared their opinion of how jealous they were or congratulated the girl, but Elizabeth's attention was on the couple who stood side by side and looked at the name.
Amelia smiled at Richard, before nodding, "That's a pretty name."
"Do you like it, baby?" Richard asked the little girl, and maybe because it was her father who asked or maybe she liked the name, the little girl smiled.
"Okay now tell us already." Emily insisted.
"Yes, brother. I can't hold the suspense." Bella added.
Richard chuckled before he turned towards Elizabeth and said, "Why don't you introduce her to everyone? Come here."
Elizabeth was taken aback by the sudden proposal but seeing that everyone was looking at her with a smile and Amelia also didn't seem reluctant, she took a step forward. Your next chapter is on My Virtual Library Empire
"Here, hold her." Amelia gave her the baby.
The blond Princess held the little one carefully in her arms.
'Ahh...she is so small and soft.' Elizabeth's heart melted at that as she barely held herself from squealing.
"Uuuum..." The baby held the partition of her shirt and mumbled.
Finally, taking a deep breath, Elizabeth told everyone the name she decided, "Abigail."
"Abigail, huh...nice name."
"It means father's joy, no? Well, looking at Richard's bright smile, this name suits her a lot."
"Little Abi~come to Aunt Jasmine now."
Everyone began calling out the name as they played with the newest addition to the family
The new heiress of the Scarlette family. The tenth successor of the Elemental Supreme. The second heiress of house Hawkbridge. And the daughter of Death.
The world welcomes Abigail.
