Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 697: Killing the Summoners

Chapter 697: Killing the Summoners

Nathan raised his eyebrows.

When Alan waved his sword at him, he actually launched a crescent-shaped sword wave instead of extending the blade as usual.

The speed and the power were much different from the previous method. It was like Noelle's, filled with power and lacking speed.

Still, at this distance, it was hard for Nathan to avoid it.

He promptly created a shield with all his power, blocking the attack just for a split second. He used that time to get away, barely avoiding it.

After that, Alan leaped into the air. With Nathan throwing his body away, he wouldn't have the necessary balance to get away from him. Hence, this would be the first time to attack him.

And this was when Jinwu's power manifested. Several feathers flew toward Alan, startling him.

"!!!" Alan created a long sword and pierced through the building far away, using it to stop his momentum and ultimately avoiding those feathers.

The feathers exploded, creating a small window for Nathan to catch his breath.

However, this would make Jinwu exposed. In fact, several summoners and familiars had attacked him. His right wing had blood escaping from his battle body. In addition, the demon cleaved him, extending that swing with his ena.

Jinwu reinforced his wings as much as possible, withstanding the demon's attack even if it meant having a massive wound.

He let out a cry for a moment, but the wound was once again closed due to Anubis, leaving behind the blood trace.

Those summoners and familiars wanted to attack him again, but a familiar warned them about the incoming bullets from Nathan. There was one familiar that was specifically tasked to watch Nathan in order not to get ambushed like earlier.

With that warning, all of them hurriedly turned around, trying to stop his attack. Unfortunately for them, all those bullets were explosive. They created a series of explosions that threw the entire group into disarray.

Once they scattered, Jinwu landed on the ground and incinerated them. Although he couldn't eliminate all of them, three out of five summoners had died from the surprise attack, which lessened his burden quite a bit.

Still, the enemy was annoying. They knew Alan was enough to stop him by himself, so they focused on his familiar to make sure they were able to kill it. Once they were done, they would probably move at him and gang up on him with no Jinwu to help him.

Even though Nathan wanted to help Jinwu one more time, Alan had already slashed the smoke produced by the feathers' explosions, revealing Nathan in the air.

"Where do you think you're going?" Alan was standing on top of that singular blade attached to the building. He then leaped toward Nathan while slashing his sword.

Nathan fired his gun one more time, as the bullet got split again. This time, Alan didn't find Nathan behind that bullet.

"!!!" He passed the bullet confusedly and looked around, wondering where he was. To his surprise, Nathan actually chose to land on the ground. He should have quite the advantage if he challenged him in the sky, considering Nathan could kick the air while he couldn't.

However, Nathan's aim wasn't to fight Alan. He had to help Jinwu. The moment he reached the ground, Nathan, who was supposed to be out of the equation due to Alan, suddenly entered the battle.

"!!!" The remaining two summoners couldn't help but glance to the side, lowering their guard for a second.

Jinwu immediately blasted one of them with his sun ray, leaving nothing behind.

At the same time, the demon struck Jinwu again from behind.

"Kh." Jinwu gritted his teeth. He couldn't really use his full strength because of all the distractions, so he had to kill these pesky summoners first.

On the other hand, the demon didn't really care whether Anubis could heal Jinwu or not.

In the end, he still caused some blood loss when he cut him. Even though there wasn't any bleeding, he could still wear Jinwu down. He just thought it was just at a slower rate.

If there was an opportunity, he would even cut Jinwu's neck and kill him in one go.

For the time being, he had to make sure of the summoners to weaken Jinwu as much as possible.

Of course, Nathan wouldn't allow it to continue. He summoned a cube with each hand this time, showing that he didn't have any more hidden bullets.

When he was about to launch his attack, there was a long but thin sword like that of a fencing blade that almost hit his head. Nathan managed to get away at the last moment, but it still hit his upper left arm.

"Kh." Nathan's control over the bullets on the left arm decreased significantly due to the interruption.

"Arrgghhh!" Nathan screamed while pushing his arm forward, letting the blade cut his arm. In the end, even though the wound was deep in normal people's eyes, it was a simple wound for Anubis.

As long as it hadn't been severed, there was nothing Anubis couldn't fix. All he had to do was endure the pain.

As he expected, Anubis focused his healing ability on him. With the restored function of his left arm, he immediately sent forth all those bullets. The ones coming from his right arm flew up while the ones from the left hand headed straight to the demon and the last summoner.

"!!!" Alan hurriedly made a pole and extended it toward a building to change the fall trajectory.

However, the other summoner wasn't so lucky. He and his familiars could deploy a shield, but those bullets suddenly turned around as though they were never the target.

The bullets hit the demon, forcing the latter to swing his giant axe to create a turbulent flow of ena that swept away the bullets.

Little did the demon know, this attack was just a distraction. With the summoner focusing on the barrier, he exposed his back to Jinwu, who had been freed from the demon.

"!!!" The summoner's face turned pale as soon as he felt Jinwu's presence on his back. When he turned his head around, he saw Jinwu blasting the sun ray at full force, decimating him.

With this, there was only Alan and his demon left. Both Nathan and Jinwu could finally focus on their respective opponent.

This was also the time Nathan shouted, "Anubis, it's time!"
