Chapter 863: 863: Comprehending the Law of Gravity

Chapter 863: Chapter 863: Comprehending the Law of Gravity

“How strange, why didn’t it record?” Lin Shen tried to record the projected video again; he recorded a short segment and looked again, but still, nothing was recorded.

“This video really has some problems; it can’t be recorded,” Lin Shen thought with astonishment.

Recalling what the woman had just written, Lin Shen remembered only part of it, all related to shallow content concerning the Law of Gravity.

Lin Shen recollected several times; he could remember only a very limited amount, and as he thought, he suddenly felt that the world in his eyes seemed a bit different.

The world hadn’t changed, only he had changed, but in his eyes, the world seemed to have gained something extra.

“Law of Gravity…” Lin Shen was overjoyed in his heart; he grasped this profound and mystifying sensation, realizing what it was.

...

Although everything still looked the same, everything seemed to have an inexplicable feeling to him.

He couldn’t quite describe the feeling, but whenever he looked at anything, he could subconsciously judge how heavy it was.

Moved by an impulse, Lin Shen took an object to weigh it, and to his amazement, he discovered that the weight shown on the scale was almost identical to the weight he had envisaged.

He weighed a few more items; the result was the same, the actual weight and his envisaged weight were very close.

Lin Shen changed scales a few times and found that although there were some discrepancies, the values were incredibly close, making him realize that perhaps his thoughts and perceptions were correct, and these scales all had varying degrees of error.

“Actually perceiving the Law of Gravity! But being able to perceive only weight seems not very useful,” Lin Shen rejoiced in his heart.

Although he had only grasped a very small Branch Law within the Law of Gravity, it was the first time he could sense the presence of Law Power.

Now that he had one, he should be able to sense other Laws in the future.

Lin Shen wanted to read more of what the woman had written, but unfortunately, the characters in the room had already vanished, and he couldn’t remember so much. He could only hope that the woman would write them again.

“These high-tech gadgets are really not reliable; I should have used a notebook,” Lin Shen somewhat regretted not jotting down the content with a pen.

Since his memory had improved, he had rarely used a notebook for noting things, but now he realized that a notebook is indeed more useful.

“Good habits should be retained.” Lin Shen took out paper and a pen, and this time he was determined; no matter what the woman wrote, he would definitely record it.

Unfortunately, after several more hours, the woman just stared blankly at the wall and showed no intention of writing anything.

At last, when the woman came to her senses, she did not continue writing; instead, she ran back to the room with the TV and video game console and started playing with the console.

Lin Shen was somewhat speechless. After pondering for a moment, he contacted Tie and asked him to come over from the mother planet to sit on the sofa and watch the video, in case the woman wrote something and he could help Lin Shen note it down.

Now, Lin Shen began to suspect that the words the woman said, the content she wrote, might indeed be true.

“If it’s really as she muttered to herself, her Law of Gravity can contend with The Ancient Realm King, then who exactly is she? And who has trapped her inside this video? The entity that has trapped her, how terrifying must they be?” Lin Shen had a thousand questions in his heart, unfortunately, impossible to find answers.

He could only wait for the woman to lose control again; maybe then he could get some answers.

With these doubts in his heart, Lin Shen left the audio-visual room to find Tie.

After sharing his understanding of the Law of Gravity with Tie, Tie silently pondered Lin Shen’s realizations about the Law of Gravity and then calmly said, “The aspect of the Law of Gravity you have grasped should be the most common Gravity Scale within the gravity series.”

“Although the Gravity Scale is common, it is very practical and will help you estimate the strength of both friends and foes. You can continue to delve deeper into the Gravity Scale Law and if you can sense the law that changes gravity, then you would be considered a beginner in the gravity series.”

“I am not even a beginner yet?” Lin Shen said, somewhat disappointed.

“You could say you’ve seen the door,” responded Tie.

Lin Shen thought for a moment then asked, “Tie, have you ever heard about becoming a god or achieving ascension?”

Tie shook his head: “I don’t know, I’ve never heard of it.”

Even Tie didn’t know, so Lin Shen also didn’t know whether that woman was truly crazy or just pretending.

“Is there anything beyond the Immortal Level?” Lin Shen changed his question.

Thinking deeply, Tie said, “The Immortal Level is already the top level in the cosmos. If one wishes to advance further, it seems the only way is to reach the heavens and become a Realm King.”

Lin Shen, feeling even more disappointed upon hearing this and about to leave, suddenly heard Tie say, “However, in my perception, there appears to be another way to surpass the Immortal Level, but it is not from my memory. It’s just some fragmented memories, incomplete and uncertain whether true or false, vaguely knowing that this method is called ‘Shattered Void.'”

“Shattered Void? How is that done?” Lin Shen immediately felt revitalized.

“I don’t know; I just occasionally have some vague memories flash through my mind, too unclear to truly grasp what consequences Shattered Void might entail,” Tie shook his head.

Lin Shen was helpless but didn’t dwell on it; he wasn’t even Immortal yet, so thinking about the future felt a bit premature.

After leaving Tie’s place, Lin Shen checked the latest news; the rebellion of the Celestial Race was still ongoing, and the situation was relatively more stable than before.

The rebels had recently captured some planets, but compared to their previous pace, they had significantly slowed down.

He still couldn’t contact the Sky Pinnacle Star. Lin Shen wanted to go to the Sky Pinnacle Star, but the transfer stations to the star were controlled by the rebels, requiring him to go through several transfers which were too dangerous.

Since Tian Ruodu had been driven away, no one else had come to attack the Giant Ring Star. It seemed the God-making Race was quite wary of them as well.

Lin Shen also had his reservations; he could only be considered a paper tiger himself. Facing someone like Tian Ruodu who wasn’t very smart, he might still bluff his way through, but against crafty individuals like Tian Jiuyou, he had no room to maneuver.

Although Tie was truly strong, due to his nature, he was prone to accidents, and Lin Shen did not want Tie to intervene unless absolutely necessary.

For now, he could only bide his time on the Giant Ring Star and observe the situation.

It was when Lin Miao sent him a message that Lin Shen remembered he still needed to purchase materials to rebuild their home, so he headed to Commerce Star once again.

Searching through the list of materials again, he noticed that although not much time had passed, the price of the materials had already dropped a bit, though still far higher than the price Elder Sister had provided.

While thinking about this, Lin Shen suddenly saw a pet price battle request pop up.

Lin Shen was surprised that someone dared to challenge the Dragon Hunter; the stakes he had set were a hefty sum of three thousand.

Checking the challenger’s information, he found out that it was a Nirvana Level pet trying to challenge his Dragon Hunter.

“What a joke, Nirvana challenging Ascension? I must be crazy to agree,” Lin Shen directly chose to reject.
