Chapter 864: 864: Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon

Chapter 864: Chapter 864: Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon

Charles, with a try-and-see attitude, looked to see if the opponent would be careless enough to accept the challenge without paying attention to the level of the combat pet.

The result proved he was overthinking it, as the opponent directly refused his challenge.

It was only because he was driven to desperation that he thought of such a lousy trick.

He could no longer find an Ascension Level pet that could beat the Dragon Hunter, so it was utterly impossible to win back the money he had lost.

He was now burdened with a debt of nearly two thousand Commerce Star Coins and had killed Golia’s Holy Heart Knight; if he went back empty-handed, he feared he might be killed by that freak from Golia.

Maybe others wouldn’t dare to kill him, but Golia was definitely someone who had the guts to do it; he was capable of anything.

...

Two thousand Commerce Star Coins, he might slowly find a way to repay; the Holy Heart Knight was really no longer an option, but if he could take three thousand Commerce Star Coins back, maybe he could persuade Golia to spare him.

“What should I do?” Charles felt as if he saw his own head being plucked off his neck by Golia.

“That bastard… If it weren’t for that bastard… I wouldn’t have ended up in such a dire situation…” Charles looked at his Pet Capsule, gritted his teeth, and picked out a red Nirvana Level Pet Capsule, his eyes filled with reluctance, “I have no choice but to use this Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon to compensate Golia, that should be enough to quell his anger.”

The thought of giving the Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon to Golia made Charles feel as if his heart was bleeding.

This was a Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon, a top-grade Nirvana mount that might not even appear once in a hundred thousand Red Soul Dragon Eggs; even as a Prince of the Lion King Clan, he had put in a tremendous effort to acquire such a Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon as his pet.

A common Red Soul Dragon was already a top-grade Nirvana mount with very high Attributes all around, possessing a very strong Innate Skill and Life Base, and very effective Crimson Soul Nirvana Attributes.

The most valuable aspect of the Red Soul Dragon was the Crimson Soul Nirvana Attribute; the Crimson Soul Power not only had great Destructive power by itself but also enhanced the rider, resonating with the rider’s Power of Nirvana to strengthen the knight’s own Power of Nirvana.

His Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon was even stronger, with the Mutated Crimson Soul Power providing even more enhancement to the knight’s Power of Nirvana.

The Life Base was also different from that of a common Red Soul Dragon: a common Red Soul Dragon’s Life Base was the Crimson Soul Dragon Spear, while this Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon’s Life Base was the Mutated Crimson Blood Dragon Soul Spear, which was not only a notch higher in killing power and basic skill than the common Crimson Soul Dragon Spear but also had the vampiric ability to grow stronger as it fought.

Charles really didn’t want to part with it, but without such a top-quality pet as compensation, Golia would definitely not let him go.

Charles went over all his Pet Capsules, and aside from this Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon, he found none that could sway Golia.

Charles sighed, already preparing to hand over the Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon to Golia when he suddenly thought of something and turned his gaze to a few other red Pet Eggs.

These eggs were the same red color as the Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon, just a shade more vivid.

These were the Ascension Level Red Ghost Dragons, which looked very similar to the Red Soul Dragons; in fact, the Red Ghost Dragon and the Red Soul Dragon were somewhat related.

It’s just that occasionally, a Red Soul Dragon would be born among a group of Red Ghost Dragons and would generally become the king of that group.

Both creatures looked quite similar, although the Red Soul Dragon was slightly larger and had a darker hue, not as bright as the Red Ghost Dragon’s color.

However, the Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon’s color was naturally brighter than a typical Red Soul Dragon, and closer to the Red Ghost Dragon’s color, just larger in size.

But at a quick glance, the two still looked very similar.

Charles, looking at the Red Soul Dragon and the Red Ghost Dragon placed together, had an idea.

“Take a gamble, maybe it’ll work!” Charles bit his lip, went to find his mother, unleashed his ultimate coquetry skills, and pestered her for 3,000 Commerce Star Coins, which he immediately took back to Commerce Star. He accessed the pet price war zone, found a Dragon Hunter, and with an Ascension Level Red Ghost Dragon, challenged the Dragon Hunter.

After hitting the challenge button, he gritted his teeth and waited for less than a few seconds before quickly selecting to cancel. After successfully canceling the challenge, he chose to challenge the Dragon Hunter with the Red Ghost Dragon again, and within two seconds, he canceled again.

On the third challenge attempt, Charles chose to challenge the Dragon Hunter with a Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon instead of the previous Red Ghost Dragon.

Charles nervously watched the screen, his heart nearly leaping out, with each second stretching like a century. Seeing the prompt that the opponent accepted the challenge, he nearly soared out of his body in joy.

“Kid, you’ve been fooled, you’re definitely dead this time.” Charles was as exhilarated as if he had taken a stimulant, his hair practically standing on end from excitement.

A Nirvana Level Mutated Crimson Soul Dragon defeating the opponent’s Ascension Level pet would be a piece of cake.

He could finally win back the three thousand he lost, and he had made up his mind; he would definitely destroy that Dragon Hunter and let him taste the pain of losing a premium pet.

Lin Shen was originally reading materials when he noticed someone challenging him. After seeing the challenger’s pet was an Ascension Level Red Ghost Dragon, he was about to accept when the challenge unexpectedly disappeared.

Lin Shen was slightly taken aback and just as he felt puzzled, the challenge notification popped up again, and before he could take a good look, it disappeared once more.

“What’s going on?” Lin Shen was confused.

Then the challenge notification appeared again. Lin Shen didn’t rush to click it but glanced at it, and at first glance, it was still the Red Ghost Dragon.

However, Lin Shen felt that something unusual must be at play and took a closer look. This glance revealed that it wasn’t some Red Ghost Dragon but clearly a Red Soul Dragon, and its level wasn’t Ascension but Nirvana.

Looking at the Red Soul Dragon’s image, it was very similar to the Red Ghost Dragon, but noticeably larger in size, clearly not the same thing.

“Well, well, trying to trick me? Let’s see your wish fulfilled,” Lin Shen smiled and chose to accept the challenge.

Although the opponent had a Nirvana Level pet, one could tell from the image that it was a red giant dragon. Jiweis, despite being only at Ascension Level, had a strong restraining effect on dragon-type creatures. Facing a Nirvana Level dragon-type pet, he had not only a chance to win but a rather good one at that.

Of course, Lin Shen was prepared for the possibility of the Dragon Hunter losing. After all, he had won those three thousand, and if he lost, he would just consider it as never having won in the first place.

Yet Lin Shen felt the chances of the Dragon Hunter losing weren’t high. A Super-Base Pet itself had the capability to challenge those beyond its level, and with its innate advantage, there really was no reason to lose.
