Chapter 928: Chapter 928 Oath Bodhisattva
Tian Zhixia still wanted to continue striking with his blade; he did not believe that there was an Immortal Creature in this world that he could not cut through.
But suddenly, he heard a strange sound, like the music of the heavens, yet also like the low chanting of a devil.
Amidst the noisy battlefield, that sound clearly reached the ears of Tian Zhixia and Lin Shen. They could hear it clearly, yet they couldn’t make out what the sound was actually saying.
They wanted to take action but suddenly discovered that some faint golden seals were appearing on their bodies, emitting a strange golden light, binding their bodies and preventing them from moving.
“Damn it, that’s the Oath Bodhisattva, a Dual Series Immortal Creature of the Curse Series and word spirit series. Look at her, she’s probably using the Space-Time Dual Heaven Law. This is not a Pseudo-Immortal Creature; it must be someone’s Immortal Pet,” said Chi Xinhuo, who was standing next to An Yi.
“Curse Language Dual Series Heaven Law?” Tian Xiaoya and the others were all greatly shocked when they heard this.
Chi Xinhuo, staring at the Oath Bodhisattva, said: “When I was young, I once met the Oath Bodhisattva; even then, she was only in the Human Law Realm. Despite this, out of the more than a dozen of us immortals, including one Earth Law, only two managed to escape.”
Hearing this, everyone became even more worried, but for the moment, nobody had a solution.
“Huo, since you’ve fought the Oath Bodhisattva before, you should know her weaknesses, right? Please tell my uncle quickly!” Tian Xiaoya said in a hurry.
Chi Xinhuo forced a smile and said, “What can I do? There are two methods to break the Oath Bodhisattva’s spell: either don’t get hit by her Curse Language Law, or rely on one’s own strength to break her Curse Language. Back then, one of us, a Curse Series Immortal, knew that there was no hope for survival. Using his own Curse Series spell, he forced a breakthrough in the Curse Language Law by a self-destructive method, allowing us to escape.”
After a pause, Chi Xinhuo continued, “If the Dharma King of my Celestial Race’s Divine Pet, the Blood Curse Demon, were here, breaking the Oath Bodhisattva would be a piece of cake, but unfortunately…”
Although he didn’t finish, everyone understood what he meant.
Both the Blood Curse Demon and the Ultimate Seraph were heavily damaged in that battle and probably had not yet recovered; otherwise, Emperor Tianshu and An Yi would have used them long before now.
Suddenly, Tian Xiaoya had a thought and excitedly said, “The great master possesses Space-Time Dual Law; he has the ability of Time-Space Retrospection. Is he restoring his power now to heal the Ultimate Seraph’s injuries? If the Ultimate Seraph enters the battle, could it defeat the Oath Bodhisattva?”
“Our race’s Divine Pet, the Ultimate Seraph, is of the Immortal King level. Although its Attribute may not necessarily restrain the Oath Bodhisattva, how can any other Immortal Creature compare with the Immortal King? Naturally, it can win,” said Chi Xinhuo.
“So, as long as the great master can restore some of his strength, he can deploy the Ultimate Seraph?” Tian Xiaoya said, pleasantly surprised, and others also hoped that An Yi could quickly recover some strength.
“I’m afraid it’s too late,” Chi Xinhuo shook his head with a bitter smile.
In the sky, more and more golden seals appeared on Lin Shen and Tian Zhixia, who were trapped by the Curse Language Law.
This weird strength was different from direct combat; even if the difference was an entire Realm, Tian Zhixia would not fear anyone in a head-on clash.
But the power of Curse Language was unpredictable and insidious, invading the body like a resentful spirit possessing it; despite possessing Supreme Power, they had nowhere to apply it.
Seeing the golden light growing ever more intense, their bodies were nearly covered in golden marks, as if they were divine statues gilded with a layer of gold.
“We can’t wait any longer. You all stay here; I’m going to help them,” said Chi Xinhuo, preparing to rush out of the courtyard.
“Wait a moment,” a voice stopped Chi Xinhuo.
Everyone turned to look and saw that the person who spoke was Lin Shen’s other assistant, Lin Wan.
The people from the Tian Jue family didn’t know the details about Lin Wan. They only knew that Lin Wan was Lin Shen’s assistant, and Yan Ruyu, Lin Shen’s other assistant, was actually a powerhouse of the Dharma King level. This made them wary of Lin Shen’s associates.
Even though they felt that such a possibility was low, they still didn’t dare to underestimate the people around Lin Shen.
Chi Xinhuo and Lin Wan were colleagues for a time, and he thought he had some understanding of Lin Wan, knowing that he was not the same kind of presence as Yan Ruyu. Chi Xinhuo frowned and asked, “What do you want me for?”
“You should not go.” Lin Wan said.
“Why not?” Chi Xinhuo asked, puzzled.
“Your presence would only be a hindrance,” Lin Wan stated calmly.
Chi Xinhuo was immediately enraged upon hearing this. After all, he was a seasoned Immortal, and though not as formidable as Oath Bodhisattva, he should at least be able to hold off for a while. Even if he could not kill Oath Bodhisattva, he could surely buy some time for Lin Shen and the others.
Yet now, Lin Wan’s words made Chi Xinhuo feel extremely disgruntled.
“You say I’m not capable—then why don’t you go?” Chi Xinhuo said, with a cold face.
“No need, the outcome will be apparent soon,” Lin Wan said, gazing up at the sky.
Everyone paused in slight surprise, as Chi Xinhuo felt a shock in his heart and swiftly turned his head to look at the sky. He had been so focused on arguing with Lin Wan that he feared missing the best opportunity to rescue Lin Shen and the others.
Indeed, the opportunity had already passed. The Oath Bodhisattva’s fingers behind her were forming various spells, glowing with a sinister dark gold light.
The Golden Mace and Golden Whip in her hands turned dark gold as well. She suddenly struck the Mace and Whip together, generating a wave of dark gold sound that rushed toward the bound Lin Shen and Tian Zhixia.
That sound wave was not a simple word spirit series power. It seemed tainted with blood, as if once touched by it, one would be eroded by the Curse Language Dual Series power and likely never free of its contaminant.
Just as Lin Shen and Tian Zhixia seemed incapable of escaping, the blood-stained sound wave was about to hit them.
At this point, it was too late for Chi Xinhuo to rush out and help, as he stomped his foot in frustration: “Cursed woman leading me astray!”
While everyone was worried, they suddenly saw golden markings on Lin Shen’s body crack open, turning into scattered gold powder.
The dreamlike Carapace shone brightly once again. In an instant, Lin Shen surged ahead of Tian Zhixia and threw a punch toward the filthy sound wave.
Boom!
With formidable strength unstoppable, the contaminated sound wave shattered like paper under Lin Shen’s fist.
Lin Shen’s Fist Power did not cease and, like surging waves of punches, it rushed toward Oath Bodhisattva.
Clang!
Oath Bodhisattva was taken aback, hastily raising her Mace and Whip to counter the terrifying fist waves. Her body was blasted backward in disarray, unable to withstand Lin Shen’s Fist Power.
In a head-on fight, Lin Shen’s advantage was not significant, and the battle risked spiraling out of control, affecting others.
That’s why Lin Shen had been patient, awaiting Oath Bodhisattva’s full-strength strike before using the power of Surfing Fist and Light of Life Reversal.
His Surfing Fist was initially very weak, but it reversed strength and weaknesses with Oath Bodhisattva’s strike, causing such a fearful force to burst forth.
In essence, Oath Bodhisattva’s full-strength blow backfired on her.
But this strike only managed to repel Oath Bodhisattva. Enraged and attempting to regain her stance to counterattack, she suddenly felt a pang between her eyebrows, and her whole body froze as if immobilized, standing motionless.
Lin Shen’s subtle and silent Finger Sand, infused with the power of the Law Array, directly hit Oath Bodhisattva’s acupoint.
The others did not detect the Finger Sand, only seeing Lin Shen break through Oath Bodhisattva’s restraint with a fist, sending her staggering backward, rooted to the spot unable to move.
Now free, Tian Zhixia raised his sword to slash at Oath Bodhisattva’s neck.
Suddenly, a jade ring flew in, expanding with the wind to the size of a collar and fitting perfectly around Oath Bodhisattva’s neck. A stretch of jade color crept along Oath Bodhisattva’s golden body.
What do you think?
