Chapter 236: Chapter 133 Malicious Intent_2
So, the two red helmets and James left the tent together to gather their people and issue relevant orders.
It was at this point that Yan Fei finally realized the truth. The two red helmets in the tent were part of the group that had filmed the fake chemical weapons attack videos to slander their own country, providing an excuse for their country’s enemies to strike. They had even won an Oscar Award in the United States of America, though domestically their reputation in Syria was not good, and they were called traitors. Internationally, they had maintained a positive image until their recent failed performances exposed their true nature, leading to them being hunted and having nowhere to hide in Syria. Yet, for their own future and interests, they were willing to help outsiders poison their own countrymen, truly deserving the title of traitors.
In the tent, Lynch, the middle-aged man in a black robe, and the three ragged, masked militants remained. Once the red helmeted ones and James had left, Lynch said to the masked militants, “Alasha, I have brought you the supplies you asked for; they are on the transport vehicle outside, and you can take those weapons and equipment away at any time. We Americans keep our word; we’ve fulfilled your request, so you should be satisfied, right?”
The leader of the militants, Alasha, discontentedly said, “What do you mean you’ve fulfilled my wish? Remember, our relationship is mutually beneficial. By helping us, haven’t we brought you benefits as well? You should know we’re the ones you call KB operatives. You’re staying put here under the pretense of wiping us out. But who would have thought that we, the KB Organisation, were actually fostered by you, and our main leaders were even released from your prisons? Our personnel training, weapons, and military intelligence have all been supported by you behind the scenes. With your support, we’ve achieved our current strength. Now, as you, representing the US Forces, stand and negotiate face to face with me, the person in charge of the KB Organisation, revealing this might just topple your government immediately, don’t you think?”
Lynch laughed, “It’s precisely because we need you that you’ve found a way to survive; otherwise, do you think you could have grown and expanded? Besides, even if you tell the world we Americans are backing you, do you really think anyone will believe it? This world is dominated by the power of the powerful; might makes right. We have the greatest strength, so we do as we please. Even if other countries know the truth, they won’t condemn us publicly. Instead, they’d play dumb and cooperate with us, so your threat means nothing to us.”
Alasha, who originally wanted to threaten Lynch, was taken aback by his assertive retort. After pausing for a while, he replied, “Previously, you promised to help us counter Russia’s offensive, but then you went back on your word, causing our organisation immense losses. Now, we have lost our influence on the Syrian battleground. If the situation continues to develop in this way, we might be annihilated, so you must help us evacuate from here.”
...
“Indeed, you cannot stay in Syria. We can help you evacuate. However, you can’t remain in the Middle East. We’ve already thought of a suitable place for you,” Lynch said.
“What suitable place?” asked Alasha.
Lynch drew a circle on the map on the table, saying, “We will evacuate you by military transport aircraft to the border region between Afghanistan and China. Afghanistan, known as the Graveyard of Empires, has never seen a rebellion completely quashed. As long as you reach Afghanistan, you won’t have to worry about your survival, and you might even grow strong again.”
After some thought, Alasha said, “We are willing to go to Afghanistan, but why evacuate us to the China border?”
Lynch replied, “Among your forces, there are several hundred warriors from China who are immensely familiar with China. I need you to send these men into China to disrupt their Greater Northwest and delay their development.”
Alasha shook his head, “China is not Afghanistan. It’s extremely dangerous there. Our people would be annihilated the moment they entered. I refuse this arrangement.”
“If you agree to this plan, we will continue supporting you, giving you a place to pursue your ideals. If you refuse, we will immediately join all forces to wipe you out. Agree to our arrangement, and you might lose some men, but the majority will fare even better. Reject our arrangement, and most of your men will be lost, and the remainder will fare poorly. You will surely make the right decision on what matters more,” Lynch stated.
“China is truly frightening. Alone and weak, entering would only mean a pointless death; it’s futile,” said Alasha.
Pointing to the middle-aged man in the black robe beside him, Lynch said, “Let me introduce Mr. Salek, one of the envoys from the Assassin Sect. You must have heard of him. With our backing, the Assassin Sect has been revived and grown stronger; their assassins can eliminate anyone. This time, we’re preparing to send operatives from the Assassin Sect to China to support you. With their help, you are sure to achieve good results.”
What do you think?
