Chapter 809: Chapter 804 Who is more awesome (Part 5)_1

“Yes, clan leader, I’ll handle it right away.” The man immediately bowed and left the room.

After the man had left, someone beside Gerald spoke respectfully, “Your Majesty, why do you pay so much attention to such a small place? Even if there is a conflict with us, there is no need to bother with it now. As for him, we just need to keep whittling away at his resources.”

“You don’t understand,” Gerald’s gaze drifted to the window before he uttered simply three words.

After a while, he spoke again, “Never mind that matter. This is what you’ll do: investigate his source of funding in secret. No matter what the source is, report to me immediately. Don’t ask about any other matters; just know that star system is very special.”

“As you command, Your Majesty.” The elder bowed respectfully but, after a moment’s thought, he spoke in a low voice, “Your Majesty, regarding Prince Suleiman Cooper…”

“His handling of other matters was satisfactory this time, but he acted foolishly on this one. Go find someone to relay a message to him. Although he has no chance of inheriting our clan, he is still a direct heir and must not lose face over such incidents. Furthermore, keep a close watch on Finn Lewis’ situation in the noble academy,” Gerald ordered in a deep voice, after some contemplation.

“As you command, Your Majesty.”

Finn Lewis was completely unaware of how highly he was regarded within the Rochefort family; of course, if Finn Lewis knew of their conversation, he might have understood something, but currently, it was impossible for him to know these things.

Suleiman Cooper was extremely excited. He had not anticipated such a turn of events. He really had no other option, as the resources at his disposal were very limited. The only strategy he could think of was to help the Aitken Family find connections with families capable of manufacturing warships and then contribute funds to have them produced.

Only in this way could the situation be solved. But to his surprise, his family was prepared to intervene, which thrilled Suleiman. He was fully aware of how powerful his own family was—forget a few hundred junk warships, even if it were several hundreds of main fleet warships, they could be produced within three months if required.

But these things didn’t matter anymore. He didn’t care about them. What he cared about was that Finn Lewis had dared to undermine his dignity. And now, he could almost see the look of disgust on Finn Lewis’ face when he would find out how worthless those warships actually were. So what if he had some stinking money?

It must be said, though Suleiman claimed not to care, he was very envious of Finn Lewis’ actions deep down. He couldn’t help but feel envious; after all, anyone would want to live with such disregard for money, to do as one pleases—the lifestyle befitting a direct heir like himself.

Of course, these were thoughts Suleiman dared only mutter to himself. If he were to voice them out loud, the mere competition within his family would be enough to make his life difficult. From a young age, he had seen more than his share of what heirs knew they should know and shouldn’t. There were just as many heirs in his family who had mysterious accidents.

As for the true cause of these accidents, it was an open secret that needed no discussion.

Suleiman was eager to see Finn Lewis now, but what he didn’t expect was that Finn Lewis was nowhere to be seen, or rather, hadn’t appeared much recently. No one knew where he had gone, but Finn Lewis’ residence was quite ostentatious.

The construction there had mostly finished, and the mountain made almost entirely of red gem spruce became explosion news throughout the entire school. Everyone knew how expensive it was to purchase and transplant red gem spruce, and how much was now planted on that mountain.

The expenditure was enormous; it was as if the money meant nothing to him. Now, the entire school was abuzz discussing Finn Lewis, and Suleiman was incredibly jealous. This sort of treatment was supposed to be his, but now all the limelight had been stolen by Finn Lewis, and those who were once the pinnacle figures of the school were hardly mentioned.

Of course, Finn Lewis knew nothing of Suleiman’s thoughts. He was busy in his room training his mental strength. Honestly, Finn Lewis had not anticipated that his mental strength would grow so quickly. He had reached the point where he could already move an object of about one kilogram for a considerable duration, though he had not yet explored other abilities.

However, Finn Lewis could already feel he had control over this force, invisible to the eye and impalpable to touch, and he could fully retract it now. Before, he had no choice but to passively sense the presence of people and everything around him, which Finn Lewis had thought was a result of his mental strength. @@novelbin@@

But now, Finn Lewis realized it wasn’t so. He could pull this force back, and that ability to feel everything around him vanished, returning him to his normal state, which at first felt strange. However, having lived like that for decades, he quickly adapted to it.

Especially after Luna Starfield reminded him that within the Galactic Federation, devices capable of detecting mental strength were abundant, it became clear to Finn Lewis that he must maintain the appearance of a normal person.

There was one exception, though. When Finn Lewis communicated with the Insect Species, the devices placed close to him detected his mental strength. But this spike in mental strength was not intense and did not seem to reveal large-scale psychic actions as Finn Lewis had thought possible.

Today, Finn Lewis had planned to attempt lifting a heavier object. His room was specially equipped with several metal objects of varying sizes, ranging from the smallest at one gram to the largest at one ton—they were all present.

Aside from controlling objects within his ability, Finn Lewis strained each day to push the heaviest object with all his might.

At this moment, a ten-kilogram object lay before Finn Lewis, which he still couldn’t budge the slightest bit. However, he could deplete his mental strength by trying, a process that, in turn, trained it. Just as he was concentrating on moving this object…

A strange sensation suddenly struck him, as if something had instantly entered his brain. A chilling feeling surged into Finn Lewis’ head, and in an urgent moment, the environment around him changed, followed by a thunderous “boom”—a terribly frightening event occurred.
