Chapter 833: Chapter 827: Comparison Leads to Discarding (Part 2)_1

“Let’s pay a visit. I have business with the people of the Wren Clan,” Finn Lewis nodded. Although Finn could have directly contacted Caleb Shaw before, and Caleb was part of the Wren Clan, now that he knew there were people from the Wren Clan here, it made more sense for Finn to directly seek out the heir of the Wren Clan.

“Yes, Your Highness, I have confirmed their whereabouts. They are currently at their own villa, which is not far from your location,” one of his attendants reported.

“Good, let’s head there now,” Finn nodded again and decisively said.

On the way, Finn talked with Luna Starfield to learn a bit more about the heir of the Wren Clan. To his surprise, although the Wren Clan was also royal and one of the seven-star royal families, they were different from other royal families as they seemed to maintain a neutral stance.

What surprised Finn even more was that this neutrality stemmed from the fact that the Wren Clan was a staunch ally of his own nine-star royal family, the Lewis Family. Damn, had he known this earlier, Finn would have paid a visit much sooner.

Moreover, this young man named Oswald Wren was the most likely direct heir to inherit the Wren Clan.

...

“Your Highness, Finn Lewis is here to visit,” Oswald Wren, who was chatting with his ** in the living room, was interrupted by the voice of his personal AI. Hearing the message relayed by the AI, Oswald was stunned; he had not expected Finn to come here.

Even more surprising to him was why Finn would suddenly come. Did Finn know something? In Oswald’s mind, he held in disdain the so-called “loyalty” of his family. In his view, it was nothing but old-fashioned thinking that had led the Wren Clan to its current state.

Hence, he was very resistant to Finn. Although the family had relayed messages telling him to aid Finn if possible, at least to not let Finn suffer any losses, he had never taken the initiative to contact Finn. Why was Finn seeking him out now?

Was it because someone in the family had been in touch with Finn? Regardless of the reason, since Finn had come to him, he had to meet, otherwise if the old fogeys in his family found out, he’d probably be in for a headache.

“Please let Finn Lewis enter,” Oswald spoke, then after speaking, he turned to Nora Rhodes and said, “I’m sorry, could you excuse us for a bit?”

“Hehe, I’d rather stay here and see. I’m quite curious about this ‘Your Highness’,” Nora said softly with a laugh, understanding that the young man did not really want her to leave but asked subconsciously because she never showed herself in front of others.

Hearing Nora’s response, Oswald was taken aback for a moment, but quickly showed a pleased smile, saying, “Alright, I’m curious to see what kind of person can interest you.”

As he spoke, Oswald stood up and walked towards the entrance, where Finn was also arriving in his flying car, which, at that moment, was not flying through the sky but driving on the ground like a regular car. Oswald’s residence was not as grand as Finn’s, but it was sizable, and it took a few minutes for Finn to reach the main part of the villa.

By then, Finn, still in the car, saw a young man waiting for him at the doorway, with a girl in white clothes standing beside him. Her light purple hair was very eye-catching, and Finn knew the color was natural and not dyed.

When the car stopped, Finn got out immediately. Seeing this, Oswald came forward with a smile, “Finn Lewis, welcome.”

Though inwardly dismissive of Finn, Oswald maintained a polite facade, a skill they were all trained in from their family upbringing.

“Brother Wren, my apologies for the imposition of this visit. Please forgive my abruptness,” Finn said with a smile.

“You’re too kind, Your Highness. Please, come in,” Oswald responded with a light smile, then gestured for Finn to enter, to which Finn nodded and stepped inside.

Once Finn entered, Oswald and Nora naturally followed him, and after they had all sat down inside the villa, a robotic waiter brought out three goblets of pale red beverage, “This is a specialty drink from our family, made from berries grown in the deep sea. It has a nice flavor,” Oswald introduced.

Finn smiled, took a sip, and enjoyed the taste. In the Galactic Federation, the abundance of resources from various planets catered to human desires, and the nobles and royals naturally spared no expense. Finn was no longer surprised by such novelties.

But, to be honest, compared to the endless array of exotic products, anything from Earth seemed very ordinary, which was quite regrettable.

“May I ask what brings Your Highness here?” Oswald inquired after Finn had tasted the drink, getting straight to the point.

“Actually, it’s nothing major. I believe you’re aware that I have an interest in doing business. My visit here is also for a business deal. The thing is, I’ve had dealings with the Wren Clan before, not just on a small scale,” Finn contemplated, unsure whether Oswald was aware of these dealings but feeling the need to disclose them nonetheless.

“I’m aware, and I also know where those warships were deployed,” Oswald delivered a lightly pointed comment to Finn, who replied with a faint smile, “Since you know, then our next conversation should be straightforward. I’m looking to purchase some warships from your family.”

Oswald was taken aback, not expecting this to be Finn’s reason for the visit. Finn had had transactions with their family before and would normally deal with others for such purchases, but now he was coming to him, which was a surprise.

“Of course, there’s no problem with that. However, I would like to know what kind of ships Your Highness intends to buy,” Oswald hesitated, but still agreed, as the Wren Clan was in a precarious state. Oswald had to take this opportunity, considering that the family’s survival was of utmost importance.

Though Finn knew about some of the Wren Clan’s survival struggles, he was not entirely informed. He learned of their economic troubles when he had asked for an investigation into Caleb Shaw’s background. It was a puzzling situation, as noble families like these shouldn’t normally have such economic issues.@@novelbin@@
