Chapter 842: Chapter 836: What Secret_1
“No one will believe it, but I think this must not be without basis. I don’t know about the rest, but what I do know is that among the nine major surnames of the royal family, there definitely is a clan that has found relics from other civilizations outside the Milky Way,” Ethan Wren said, shaking his head slightly.
Finn Lewis was stunned for a moment by the mention of relics from other civilizations in the Heritage Galaxy. Since they were referred to as relics, it meant that these beings not only accidentally came to the Milky Way but also constructed a considerable number of buildings here.
Finn thought to himself that if that were the case, then some of the Rochefort Clan’s actions seemed to have other meanings embedded within them. Otherwise, the Rochefort Clan would have had no need to focus solely on his own territory, would they? Since they were targeting his domain, it meant that there really was something in his territory that they had their eyes on.
“Luna Starfield,” Finn said after sending Ethan Wren off.
“At your service, your highness,” the voice of Luna Starfield promptly responded.
“You heard what was just said. Analyze it for me, why is that? Or rather, do you have any information that you can share with me on this matter?” Finn asked directly.
“Your highness, I don’t have any records on this matter. However, I do have some other evidence that requires your personal confirmation,” Luna Starfield promptly said.
“Oh?” Finn raised his eyebrows.
“It’s like this, your highness. I have been verifying the security of everyone around you, but until now, I have not found any identity information for Miss Jasmine Davis, including the many colleagues around her. I’m sorry, your highness, I have found none of their identity records,” Luna Starfield said straightforwardly.
Finn furrowed his brows, surprised to hear Jasmine Davis mentioned. He thought for a moment and then asked, “What do you mean you found none of their records?”
“It’s quite simple, your highness. Although all of them belong to interstellar pirates, even being part of the Star Thieves and some of them the families of Star Thieves, it’s strange that we can’t find any records for so many of them. They couldn’t all have been born as Star Thieves; they must have turned to it later. Yet, I haven’t found any of their previous records in the Federation,” Luna Starfield said, clearly explaining the situation to Finn.
“Is this kind of situation common?”
“Not at all; it’s quite rare. Now, all the Star Thieves, including mercenaries, even though the Galactic Federation does not pursue their actions—probably due to lack of resources and funds—it does not mean their data can’t be found. The records they left in the Federation from the past should all be searchable. I can find backups of everything here, but sadly, there are none for these people. If it were just a few individuals, I could understand. But when it concerns over three hundred thousand people, that is extremely abnormal,” Luna Starfield said decisively.
Finn nodded thoughtfully and after a while, he began to speak, “I understand. According to you, Jasmine’s origins are not quite normal, right? Also, I remember when I promised something to Jasmine, they observed a kind of peculiar ritual. You said you didn’t find anything, is that correct?”
“Yes, your highness. Therefore, I suggest we investigate Miss Jasmine Davis. It should not be difficult,” Luna Starfield said without hesitation.
“No need, connect me to their communication,” Finn said after giving it some thought, deciding to ask directly.
Luna Starfield would not have any objections to Finn’s decisions and quickly connected him to Jasmine and her team’s communication. Once connected, Finn saw that they were in the hall of the bridge, apparently having a meeting, with many faces visible to Finn.
During this period, although Jasmine and her group had already left the Aitken Family’s territory, they hadn’t returned to Earth. Instead, they took up their old trade directly, becoming members of the Star Thieves again. Of course, now they weren’t being Star Thieves for the sake of it or for money.
They did it as training. Soldiers who don’t fight cannot be called soldiers. So now, Jasmine and her crew had taken on quite a few missions to execute, and Finn didn’t care about a few spacecrafts, letting them wear them out as they wished.
“I need to talk to you, go to a separate room,” Finn said directly.
Jasmine was momentarily taken aback then nodded and replied, “All right, give me five minutes.” After giving instructions to someone nearby, she turned and walked away. The communication didn’t need to be disconnected; it could just be switched over. A few minutes later, Finn saw her in her room on his screen.@@novelbin@@
“What is it, your highness?” Jasmine asked solemnly.
“It’s something that could be either important or not important. I have a question for you, you can choose to answer it or not. I won’t force you, and you don’t have to take it to heart,” Finn said after reflecting briefly, speaking straightforwardly.
“Please speak, your highness.”
“Who are you?” Finn directly asked.
“Uh… I am Jasmine Davis,” Jasmine said, looking at Finn with some confusion. If Finn weren’t across who knows how many light-years away, she probably would have wanted to check if he had a fever; why was he talking nonsense?
“You know that’s not what I’m asking. I mean another identity. I had Luna Starfield gather some information about you. You are Star Thieves, yes, but even Star Thieves come from the citizens of the Federation, becoming Star Thieves for various reasons. But if one or two people’s records are missing, that’s fine. But when there are no records for several hundreds of thousands under your name, that’s not normal, is it?” Having asked directly, Finn didn’t beat around the bush but spoke frankly.
On the video, Jasmine fell silent immediately. After a long pause, she looked up at Finn and asked, “Does it really matter to you, your highness?”
“It matters a lot,” Finn nodded.
“All right, since that’s the case, and I know you’re not a bad person, I’ll just tell you the truth. I am not a person of the Galactic Federation,” Jasmine said without beating around the bush.
Finn didn’t respond; he continued to wait for what Jasmine was about to say next, knowing this was the most important part.
“Even to say, I am not a person of the Milky Way Galaxy,” Jasmine spoke seriously.
Finn then raised his eyebrows in genuine surprise. Just a short while ago, Ethan Wren had just told Finn that the origin of humans was, in fact, Earth. Humans had spread out from Earth, undergone a major extinction event, and then Earth had once again been repopulated by humans. Whether the later humans were manipulated by people of the Galactic Federation, that was something Ethan Wren did not know.
What do you think?
