Chapter 257 A Damn Mastermind.
Hugo slumped onto the couch, staring at the ceiling in deep thought.
Today had been quite eventful.
From shamelessly guilt-tripping Sanchez, to getting the most half-assed masterclass in setting up a threesome, to finally standing before an entire cabinet of ultra-expensive liquor that he desperately wanted to steal.
But in the end, he just couldn't do it.
Not because he was a good person. Though he liked to think he was.
Not because he had morals. Though he liked to think he did.
But because he valued his damn life!
Sanchez was the type of man who would track him down, beat him up, and make him pay back every single drop of alcohol with interest.
Hell, the man might even tie him up and use him as a caddy for a whole month as punishment!
So, in the end, Hugo had simply stared longingly at the premium liquor, sighed deeply, and walked out like a good little civilian.
It might have even been the most painful decision of his life.
But now, sitting here, his mind replayed everything Sanchez had told him.
And honestly?
The rich bastard's strategy wasn't half bad. It might be half-assed and too godamn simple, but it's simplicity made the whole situation clearer for Hugo.
Sanchez had broken it down into three key parts:
1. Find out if the girls were open to the idea.
2. Bring them together in a fun, relaxed setting.
3. Seal the deal when the mood was right.
Hugo nodded to himself. This was a solid plan that could actually work. In fact, he already knew that his targets would be down for such a thing.
They were freaky minxes after all.
But there was one massive problem.
Celine.
He didn't have her number. And without her number, how the hell was he supposed to invite her anywhere?!
"Damn it," Hugo muttered, rubbing his temples.
He had already tried asking Collins for Celine's number, but the bastard had straight-up refused like a protective father guarding his daughter's virtue.
No matter how much Hugo begged, pleaded, or even tried to bribe him with food, Collins stood firm!
Which was a lot considering pizza was among his top 3 great weakness!
And even if he somehow got Celine's number, that didn't mean she would actually talk to him back.
After all, the last time they met, she had absolutely wrecked him.
Would she even entertain his messages? Would she even remember his name?!
Hugo groaned. One problem at a time.
Right now, priority number one was getting her number. And just as he was thinking about that, the door creaked open.
Hugo turned his head and saw Collins walk in—looking a little too relaxed, a little too wobbly, and very much tipsy.
Hugo's brain immediately went into overdrive.
Wait a damn second. This… was an opportunity!
Collins was drunk. And when people were drunk, they were stupid!
They were vulnerable. They were easy to trick. Hugo's eyes gleamed with mischief. He had to act fast before Collins sobered up!
Quickly, he stood up, stretched, and casually walked into his own room.
Then, once he was inside, he activated Aura of Persuasion, picked up his phone and turned back toward the door with a sly smirk.
It was time to finesse the hell out of this situation!
He re-entered the room, smiling like a friendly neighborhood therapist.
"Collins, my man! You're looking a little wobbly there, buddy. Good night out?"
Collins chuckled, swaying slightly. "Hah! You wouldn't believe it, bro. Best night of my life. Drinks, music, girls… perfect vibes!"
Hugo nodded approvingly. "Damn, I'm jealous. Should've gone out myself. But you know, sometimes… it's nice to just chill and have deep talks with your bros."
Collins snorted. "Deep talks? Man, you sound like a chick right now."
Hugo grinned. "Nah, nah, hear me out. There's just something about sitting back, reflecting on life, and, you know… talking about the people that matter." Your next read is at My Virtual Library Empire
Collins took the bait. He plopped down on his bed, smiling lazily.
"Alright, alright. You got something on your mind?"
Hook, line, and sinker.
Hugo sat down across from him, pretending to be all casual.
"Bro, real talk? You ever have one of those moments where you just think about all the cool people in your life? The ones who are just… different, you know?"
Collins nodded along. "Yeah, yeah, I get what you mean."
Hugo smirked. "Like, for example, someone like Celine."
Collins froze. Hugo quickly kept talking, acting all nonchalant.
"She's just got this energy, man. The way she carries herself, the way she talks… you don't meet people like that every day."
Collins rubbed his chin, thinking.
"Yeah… yeah, that's true. Celine's something else."
Hugo leaned forward slightly.
"Honestly, I kinda wanted to hit her up, just to, you know, pick her brain a little. But damn, I don't even have her number."
Then, before Collins could process the trap, Hugo casually threw in,
"But hey, you do, right?"
Collins, still half-drunk and deep in thought, nodded automatically.
"Yeah, of course."
Hugo grinned.
"Oh, nice! Mind sending it over? Just wanna chat, see if she's got any cool insights on some stuff I've been thinking about."
Collins nodded again, too tipsy to question it.
"Yeah, sure, no problem."
He grabbed his phone, scrolled for a second, and—
DING!
Hugo felt his phone vibrate. He casually glanced at the screen.
Celine's number.
BOOM.
Mission accomplished. But Hugo knew he had to play it cool.
So, instead of immediately celebrating, he just nodded like it was no big deal.
"Appreciate it, bro. You're the best."@@novelbin@@
Collins smiled lazily. "No problem, man."
Then, just as he was about to close his eyes and relax, his brain suddenly caught up.
"…Wait."
He blinked.
Then sat up.
Then stared at Hugo.
"…The hell just happened?"
Hugo was already out the door, grinning like a damn mastermind.
