Chapter 1963 The Princess who rose from the Chains
Chapter 1963 The Princess who rose from the Chains
Yes, Zylarith Chaosveil, this is an open declaration.
I am coming for you and whatever you have built.
I will destroy it with my own hands, and no matter how desperately you try,
You will never be able to stop me."
Nux spoke, and before Zylarith could say anything else, he destroyed the artifact in his hand. Once again, he felt the space around him tremble. That father of his was trying to find where he was, but with his control over space, it was pretty much impossible.
Thud
With a cold expression on his face, Nux threw away another Primordial's body after reading his memories. The devouring mist devoured him out of existence as Nux continued.
Right now, he was in Khaemorr, a High-Level World his father was in.
Yes, all this while, as his father desperately tried to find him, he was right under his nose, threatening and openly declaring his intentions without any fear.
And it wasn't just him; his wives were walking around with him.
After all, the moment they sensed someone, Marlik moved and brought him to Nux.
"Did you find out anything interesting?"
Felberta, who was walking beside Nux, questioned with a curious look on her face.
"It is all the same."
Nux shook his head.
"That would make sense. The Primordials in this world are like a dime a dozen; they wouldn't know much, especially not the sensitive information the higher-ups would want to hide."
Aeliana muttered, and the rest of the women nodded.
Right now, they were doing what they called knowing the enemy. Now that all of them were part of Nux's Universe, the Will of Worlds could not sense them, and the women decided to abuse this.
They directly walked into the world they were up against and decided to find out everything they could about this place.
"What was that princess story you mentioned before?"
Suddenly, Allura glanced at Nux and questioned.
"I was quite intrigued by that."
She muttered, her purple eyes shining meaningfully, and Amaya, who saw the look on the succubus's face, narrowed her eyes when she understood what she was thinking.
"She is an enemy."
"We do not know that, do we?"
"We do."
Amaya nodded.
"You are too boring~"
Allura waved her hand. Once again, her eyes were back on Nux.
"She is the leader of this world, an Eternal."
"An Eternal, eh?"
Allura's grin widened.
"Sounds very… useful."
She muttered, making both Aeliana and Amaya narrow their eyes.
Eisheth, on the other hand, agreed wholeheartedly,
"Indeed, indeed."
Felberta chuckled at the two's antics.
"What is her story? Why did your father help her? He doesn't seem like the helping kind."
"I am not sure if he helped her."
Nux answered.
"You said it, though…"
"It was only an assumption; otherwise, her story doesn't add up."
"What is her story?"
The Eldraeth Progenitor questioned.
"All of you are just a bunch of mannerless rogues."
Allura snorted as she then glanced at Nux.
"Let's start with her name.
I am getting a good vibe from her."
"You get good vibes from everyone, even the mother-daughter foxes."
Amaya snorted.
"I am much surer this time."
"You were much surer last time t—"
"Oh, come on!
Just tell me her name."
Allura glanced at Nux, and he started.
"She is Sharnoth Nocthys, the Princess who rose from the Chains."
"The Princess who rose from the Chains, eh…?"
Allura repeated those words, her smile widening even more.
Nux nodded.
"It all dates back to millions of years of rivalry between two worlds named Nocthys and Aurendor, both being High-Level Worlds that belong to different factions.
Nocthys was part of the Faction of Darkness, the faction led by the Supreme World of Darkness, while Aurendor was part of the faction led by the Supreme World of Light."
Sharnoth was the Princess of Nocthys. One day, Sharnoth's father, their Progenitor, an Eternal, who was returning from a trip, was suddenly attacked by the enemies, and since he was outnumbered, he couldn't survive.
The instant he fell, Nocthys became nothing more than a delicious piece of meat for the wolves around it, and very quickly, the wolves pounced on it.
The first to attack was Aurendor.
Nocthys and Aurendor were always at war with each other, and since there was no winner for millions of years, it was clear that there wasn't a big difference between their strength.
But with Nocthys's Progenitor dead, the enemies had an extra Eternal.
It was impossible for Nocthys to win. In the end, the Nocthys Royal Family surrendered, the Princess, Sharnoth Nocthys, was enslaved and taken to Aurendor, and once a renowned High-Level World, Nocthys turned into nothing but a territory where all sorts of experiments were done using the world's energy.
"Tragic."
Aeliana muttered.
Honestly, she wasn't actually affected by the story.
The rest of the women were the same.
It was simply how the world and the universe worked. The instant Nocthys weakened, its destruction was set in stone.
The very fact that Sharnoth was alive was a surprise.
"What happened next?"
Evane questioned. Since she knew there would be a twist, she was looking forward to it. She wanted to know how Sharnoth did what she did.
She was somewhat rooting for her.
The rest of the women were curious as well, but…
"That's the issue. No one knows what happened next."
Nux answered.
The women frowned, and he continued,
"Sharnoth was enslaved, but a few days later, around a hundred thousand years ago, somehow, she managed to escape. No one knew how she did, and no matter how much effort was put in to capture her, none could find her."
"That is… strange."
Vyriana muttered, narrowing her eyes.
This didn't make sense.
After all, if Sharnoth was the Princess, the direct descendant of Nocthys's Progenitor, it meant her potential was only slightly weaker than her father's.
No matter how one looked at it, she was a threat.
A High-Level World would never make the mistake of letting her go. After all, no one wanted an extra enemy, especially one who had the potential to destroy them.
"Indeed.
Aurendor is a High-Level World. They have thousands of means of capturing someone. A powerless princess should never be able to run away.
Especially when her cultivation was ruined, she would have died within a few decades anyway."
"She managed to escape when she had no cultivation?"
"Not only that, when she returned, she was stronger than her father."
Nux answered, surprising the women.
She then swore to destroy Aurendor and started recruiting people for her cause. Her army rose much quicker than anyone could expect. She gathered allies, formed alliances, and now, she had grown to the point that she and her world, Khaemorr, have become Aurendor's greatest threat.
"What the…"
"So the reason you think your father helped her is because…"
"Because it wouldn't make sense otherwise."
"But what would Zylarith even do in this situation?"
Aeliana questioned.
"You underestimate him."
Nux shook his head.
"He was the one who created my System, remember?"
"Are you saying… he gave her the system?"
Melia questioned, somewhat taken aback.
"I do not know."
Nux shook his head.
"I doubt that is possible since the energy required to create the system is absurd, but that man was once a Progenitor of the Strongest Supreme World. If you think he has no other means to get what he wants,
You are wrong."
"But… why would he help her…?"
"How can I know what he is thinking? I am not even sure if he is actually helping her or not. The only reason I came up with this theory was because the mission those two Transcendents received was from Khaemorr.
If Khaemorr is doing what he wants, I doubt their relationship is simple, especially when Zylarith is in a position that the moment one reports his existence to the Supreme World, both he and the forces associated with him will be destroyed."
"It makes sense. No one would risk being associated with Zylarith unless… he is the reason they are there in the first place."
Eisheth nodded.
"Or… they cannot not associate with him."
Amaya pointed out another possibility.
"…"
Everyone turned silent.
"So…
What's the plan?
What are we going to do now?"
Once again, Astaria questioned.
"I wanted to find out more about Sharnoth, about her Laws, her powers, in hopes of understanding why Zylarith is with her and what he wants, but these people do not know anything."
Nux shook his head.
"I would need to attack Transcendents, but…"
"That would be too risky."
Aeliana shook her head.
"We need to get stronger."
Amaya muttered.
"That's the issue. I do not know what to do."
Nux clenched his fists.
"What…?"
"Laws related to Darkness, Light, and Balance are all in Supreme Worlds. We cannot target them, not right now.
The only link to the Law of Chaos is Zylarith, and he hides together with an Eternal.
The only Law left is…"
"The Law of Time…"
Aeliana muttered.
"The Seer…"
Amaya said a name.
"She wouldn't help."
Nux shook his head.
"If I do anything, I need to do it myself."
"What are you going to do…?"
"I… I do not know…"
"Do you know nothing about the Law of Time or where you can find people who do? You devoured Umbrasol. There should be something, no?"
Felberta questioned.
She refused to believe that no being in a world like Umbrasol knew nothing about the Law of Time or anything related to it.
"There is… the Temple of Time."
Nux muttered.
"And…?"
"And…"
What do you think?
