The Animagus: From Hunter to Monster

Chapter 93 So, a round with humans??

Christine, it was Ruben. Talons extended, they swiped at the Christine's face, but she swiftly dodged, revealing razor-sharp fangs. Ruben quickly sucked the talons into Christine as she tried to transform and carried her into an enclosure.

Christine, with eyes glowing like embers, countered with a powerful swipe of its clawed hand. The bird-human agilely evaded, but the hybrid's speed and strength sent it stumbling back.

As the bird-human regained balance, it unleashed a flurry of swift pecks and scratches. Christine retaliated with a blast of dark energy, sending the bird-human tumbling through the air.

The bird-human quickly recovered, summoning a fierce gust of wind with its wings. Christine stumbled back, momentarily blinded by the whirlwind.

Ruben seized the opportunity and dove forward, talons outstretched. Christine, however, transformed more into a wolf-like creature, and the two clashed in a flurry of claws and feathers.

The battle continued, with neither opponent yielding. The bird-human's agility and wind manipulation clashed against the Christine's brute strength and dark powers.

In the end, the Ruben's cunning and adaptability proved decisive, as it exploited the Christine's momentary weakness and struck the final blow. Christine flew off and landed on an upright sharp metal. It pierced through her.

Tristan noticing and hearing sounds, immediately rushed a machine gun laying on a desk.

"Wa… No, wait. You're no match for him," Gregory tried to stop Tristan. But Tristan left angrily and hurriedly.

CHAPTER SEVEN

VICTOR'S PRISON I

(Christine was grunting)

Tristan descended from the opening above, landing gracefully on the moonlit ground. His eyes fixed on the Ruben in his bird-like creature form, which stood tall, wings spread wide.

With a snarl, Tristan charged, fangs bared. Angrily, he started shooting at Ruben. Ruben, unflinching, raised a taloned hand. A burst of wind exploded from its feathers, sending the Tristan stumbling back.

Tristan quickly recovered, summoning a dark, swirling cloud. The bird-like creature countered with a piercing cry, shattering the cloud and sending the Tristan spinning backwards.

As Tristan regained its footing, the bird-like creature unleashed a flurry of swift, slashing attacks. Talons raked across Tristan's face, drawing blood.

Enraged, Tristan rushed over to his gun where it lay on the ground and sent several shots to Ruben. But the Ruben's wing beat fiercely, generating a whirlwind that dispelled the bullets.

Seizing the opportunity, Ruben dove forward, talons outstretched. It struck Tristan's hands and pushed him to the wall as he tried to heart with a precise, deadly blow. Tristan body crumpled, defeated.

Ruben still holding his unto the wall, tightened her hands with its talon making blood to gush out of his hands. As blood gushed out, Ruben opened his mouth to let the blood enter.

"No!" Tristan exclaimed.

"Father, No!" Tristan ran into the building.

"They have gone. There, there, my child. You are safe now." Ilupina told Tristan as he hugged him tightly. The flashback continued until after Ruben must've seen the location he was looking for, the Prison. As he was about releasing Tristan's hands, Tristan has already released his hands with gunshots. As Ruben released his talons from Tristan's hands, Tristan fell into a pool of water that was there.

After Ruben had flew off from the coast, Tristan quietly got up and went to where Christine lay, already lifeless. He noticed that Ruben had collected the key from her neck. He quietly, but with much strength breaks off the metal. Gradually, he brought Christine down and injured himself so as to be able to pour blood into the wound of Christine.

"Shit. No, Christine. Christine. Please, don't leave me." Tristan called out.

(Pushing the door open with force) "Hello, father," Ruben called the father.

"You are unwelcome in my presence." Gregory said.

(Chuckles) "Ah…the foreseeable heart that never thaws. Pity it beats within such a fool. The eldest of the immortals, yet, you have made no attempt to seize your destiny." Ruben said as he climbed the stairs to meet the father.

"We're oddities of nature, you and I. Nothing more. This is a world for humanity." Gregory explains.

"And that petty feelings explains why you rejected your sons? Why you stood by for over a century and five decades as Victor suffered alone in darkness? No, father. I have no respect for your petty feelings," Ruben blotted out.

"Ilupina's key, where is it?" Ruben asked the father.

"Whatever plan you have for Victor is futile. You cannot control your brother." Gregory acclaimed.

"No, I'm stronger now. And our bond is greater that you have ever wanted to acknowledge." Ruben was saying.

"You're wrong," Gregory interrupted. "…soon you will be drowning in Lycans, just like before." He added.

"Oh, not Lycans, Father…or vampires. A new race, created in the image of their maker…their new god: me" Ruben concluded, and with a jolt pushed Gregory to the wall with his long bird talons. "…and a true god, has no father," Ruben added, while picking up a sword and stabbing the father, sorry, Gregory, with the sword. He further used the opportunity to search Gregory thoroughly, and finally, he found the second part of the key.

"You will fail." Gregory cursed Ruben.

"Ah… really. Let's see what happens, man." Ruben told Gregory.

"Victor, I'm on my way. Just in a jiffy." He said while he flew away.

CHAPTER EIGHT

GREGORY

The flipping sound of the blades of a helicopter was heard. It landed in an open space in the ship. The helicopter's door opened, allowing the men inside to alight from it, with Samuel as the leader. Samuel, still leading, rushed into the room where Ruben had left the father.

"Get the kit," Samuel ordered his subordinates.

"No," Gregory replied Samuel's order.

Moving forward and stepping of what seems like a pool of blood, Samuel pleaded with his boss.

"Please, sir, let us help you," Samuel pleaded.

"The time has come, my friend. Find the boy. Bring him to me." Gregory ordered, exhaling deeply.

Samuel and his men quickly rushed out of the place in search of Tristan. They found him finally, sobbing while probably trying to revive Christine with his blood. As they approached Tristan, he rushed his rifle and pointed it to them, ready to shoot.

"No, wait. Wait," Samuel tried to calm Tristan down.

"If you want Ruben, you will need Gregory's help," Samuel suggested Tristan.

"Don't leave her here," Tristan asked Samuel. She jolted up and followed Samuel to meet Gregory while Samuel's men wrapped Christine in a bag.

On their way to meet Gregory, Tristan was behind Samuel. His eyes glistened like that of a vampire. His steps explained his mood, he was really angry and ready at the moment, to do anything to get back at Ruben. Especially, if Christine doesn't make it. She has arrived the place where Gregory lay, in the pool of blood, panting for breath.

"Did he get the pendant?" Gregory asked Tristan panting heavily.

"Yes," Tristan answered.

"He's too powerful for you alone," Gregory told Tristan.

"You are the only one older than him, the only one stronger. You could have killed him yourself," Tristan replied.

"No matter what he's become…he is my son," Gregory said slowly.

"You are the last hope left. There's only one way to defeat him," Gregory stated, and cut his wrist. "Quickly, now, before there is no more bequest left in my veins," Gregory said.

Tristan stepped forward and bent to suck the blood.

"What will I become?" Tristan was hesitant.

"The future," Gregory assured him. So, Tristan went ahead to suck the blood. Yoo, he sucked to his satisfaction and jolted his head upwards in a way to show the blood had an effect in him. He blinked his eyes and opened it steadily, the pupil glittered. It turned shiny grey and turned to its normal colour, though still glistening. His teeth reformed into having sharp fangs. His mouth, watery with blood. He looked ready to face whatever beholds him. Then, he gazed his stare at Gregory.

"Go now," Gregory said to him.

(Thumping sound of the fan blades of helicopter)

"We are about to take off. Come in now," Samuel told Tristan.

"Where is she?" Tristan asked.

"She's inside. Come in," Samuel replied.

While in air, Tristan sat beside the bag where Christine was zipped in.

He opened the bag after some moments to check out for Christine and feels her pulse. At each interval, Samuel shoots a glance at him. He noticed tears were forming in Tristan's eyes, he pitied him and wishes Christine comes back to life.

While inside the ship, Gregory is alone. He drags himself on the ground to a box nearby. He opened the box and brought out a nuclear weapon, an explosive. He looked as if he is tired of living, he really is actually. The explosive were arranged neatly in vertical order in the box. It was circular in shape. Gregory brings out one of them and feels it with his bloody hands. Pressing the button on the explosive, he drops it back inside the box and closed his eyes. (Beeps then boom). The explosive blasted the whole place, leaving shatters of the ship to fall back into the sea. And, unusually, smokes were ascended into the atmosphere. He's gone.
