The Byoukidere Is Her Sweetie

Chapter 80: 080: Got her in the bag!

Chapter 80: 080: Got her in the bag!

Jiang Zhi complimented her again for being very beautiful and then asked her, “Do they have men’s styles?”

She said she didn’t know.

He asked, “Where did you buy it?”

She honestly replied, “Online.”

“Send me the link.”

She immediately nodded, “Oh.”

...

She secretly thought, Jiang Zhi wearing pink must be the best-looking in the world.

Then Jiang Zhi left the set.

Then all sorts of gossip started on the set.

“What’s going on?”

“Did Director Jiang take a fancy to that extra?”

“I thought he was gay?”

“Who knows, he could be bisexual.”

“She’s so lucky.”

“Lucky? Haven’t you heard, Director Jiang has erectile dysfunction.”

“Really?!”

“Of course, it’s true. With Director Jiang’s frail body, he might have the desire but not the strength. It’s been spread around the circle that Director Jiang isn’t physically able to perform, and can only be on the bottom.”

“With that face of his, turns out he’s a… tsk tsk, such a waste.”

“Who cares if he can get it up or not, being noticed by Director Jiang is already a stroke of luck; at least she can make her debut. Just a little promotion and she could be famous.”

“What does she look like? I’ve never really seen her face.”

“Me neither, she’s always keeping her head down, dressed all in dark clothes, like a female ghost.”

Female ghost Zhou Xufang: “…”

Her hearing was too good, really, she could hear everything.

It didn’t matter that they compared her to a female ghost, but how could they talk about Jiang Zhi!

She was a bit angry, and lowered her head even more, afraid her red eyes would frighten them to death.

In small groups, they were all quietly discussing when Vice Director Zhao came out and spoke, “It’s fine to talk about it here, but once you step outside, keep your mouths shut.”

Even the Assistant Director spoke up…

Such a warning convinced the onlookers even more that there was no smoke without fire, and so they all cast curious, probing, and respectful glances at Zhou Xufang.

Only Fang Lixiang was full of worry.

“Fang ah.”

“Hm?” Zhou Xufang kept her head down, hiding her face.

Fang Lixiang tugged at her clothes and pulled her aside, whispering, “Did Jiang Zhi get his hands on you?”

Get his hands on…

Such a crude phrase.

Zhou Xufang murmured, “Don’t say ‘get his hands on.'” Little hooligans are the ones who do that, not Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi is a good person.

Is ‘get his hands on’ the focus? @@novelbin@@

It’s getting his hands on her that’s the focus!

Fang Lixiang was truly shocked, “You didn’t even deny it!” She put on a look of utter hopelessness, “It’s over, our Fang has been seduced by that outsider little demon.”

Zhou Xufang immediately corrected her, “Jiang Zhi is not a little demon.”

Fang Lixiang: “…”

It’s over, she’s been completely bewitched by the little demon, completely taken!

Let’s not dwell on this; there’s an even more important question, “Tell me, is he really gay or not?”

Zhou Xufang looked around and whispered softly, “He’s not.”

He liked her.

Fang Lixiang looked at Zhou Xufang, wondering why it felt like her act of blushing and hiding her face in her collar was a bit too much like the saying ‘there’s no silver here’.

Something strange was going on.

Fang Lixiang continued probing, “Have you confirmed whether or not he’s gay?”

Zhou Xufang looked confused, not quite understanding.

Fang Lixiang beckoned her over, leaning in to ask outright, suggestive, “Can ‘he’ get it up with women?”

“…”

Lixiang is so… lewd.

Zhou Xufang took out a face mask, put it on, and went to the side to blush in hiding.

Fang Lixiang stroked her chin, deep in thought, wondering how such purity could be deceived by the big bad wolves on the outside.

There were two more scenes in the afternoon, both involving the male and female leads. Director Jiang made some last-minute changes that once again required the participation of the crowd actor Zhou Xufang.

There was a half-hour break in the middle of the day.

Jiang Wei’er went to return something she got from a sponsor and didn’t come to the set until almost two o’clock. Ever since Fang Lixiang found out about her and Xiao Linsu’s relationship, she had been helping her cover things up.

From a distance, she could hear the quarreling coming from Xiao Linsu’s resting room.

“Why do you care about my private life?”

Xiao Linsu was usually even-tempered and rarely got angry like this.

“I just want to help—”

“Lin Shuang!” He warned her coldly, “Don’t meddle in my affairs.”

As Jiang Wei’er approached, the argument inside had already settled down. Lin Shuang ran out with tearful eyes, and when she saw Jiang Wei’er, she twitched her sleeve subconsciously and looked away, “You’re here.”

“Pfft.” Jiang Wei’er’s gaze swept over her arm.

She naturally placed her hands behind her back, “Linsu is inside.” She smiled, “I’ve asked the assistant to keep an eye out for you guys outside.”

“Thank you.”

She said no thanks were needed and turned to leave.

Jiang Wei returned his gaze and slightly furrowed his brows.

As an agent for over a decade, Lin Shuang was used to being strong-willed and proud, but she seemed a bit too careful when it came to Xiao Linsu.

The injuries on her arm looked like they were from cigarette burns.

Jiang Wei’er withdrew her attention and lifted her skirt to enter Xiao Linsu’s dressing room.

Inside, the smell of smoke was heavy.

He was sneaking a smoke again. Seeing her enter, he panicked and tried to hide the cigarette behind his back, standing there awkwardly.

Jiang Wei’er chuckled, “I already saw it, what’s the point in hiding it?”

He then crushed the cigarette and went to embrace her, not sure how many he had smoked, his voice slightly hoarse, “Why are you here?”

“I came to see you.”

He held her, motion careful and gentle, “Have you eaten?”

Jiang Wei’er nestled in his embrace and looked up, “Not yet.”

He immediately put on a stern face, “You just had a stomachache last month, why are you being careless?” After scolding her, he turned to rummage through his things to find her something to eat, “There’s only chocolate. Eat this to hold you over, I’ll order you a meal.”

He unwrapped the chocolate and fed it to her.

She took a bite, “Linsu, has Lin Shuang got a boyfriend?”

He lowered his head, “Not sure, why do you ask about her?”

“Just curious, she’s not young anymore.” She ate a few bites of chocolate fed to her, and it was so sweet it made her feel sick, “No more, it’s too sweet.”

Xiao Linsu coaxed her, “A little bit more.”

She shook her head.

He ate the leftover chocolate and made a call to his assistant, “Help me order a meal. No spicy, no garlic, make it light.”

In the end, he gave a special instruction, “No shrimp.”

Her stomach was not good.

She didn’t eat spicy.

She was allergic to shrimp.

Yet she always took it for granted, and he had to remember.

After the shoot, the sun was almost setting.

Zhou Xufang packed her bag to go home, and Fang Lixiang hopped over, bursting with enthusiasm.

“Xufang, I have great news for you!”

Zhou Xufang slung on her backpack and turned around, listening seriously.

“Director Jiang’s new film, I got selected!” Fang Lixiang excitedly spun around on the spot, howling, “I’m the female lead!”

Zhou Xufang raised both thumbs, praising soberly, “You’re amazing.”

“…”

That sudden onset of veteran cadre vibes.

Why can’t this girl be like her peers, all jumpy and lively?

“Xufang.”

At the door, Jiang Zhi called her.

Zhou Xufang tilted her head back, “Hmm?”

Jiang Zhi had her hands in her pockets, leaning on the door frame, looking like she was waiting for someone, “I’ll take you home.”

Zhou Xufang thought for three seconds.

“Okay.” She turned back to Fang Lixiang, “Lixiang, goodbye.”

After speaking, she hopped a few times, moving to Jiang Zhi’s side, and after hopping as if realizing something amiss, she shrank back into her large down jacket and proceeded modestly.

Fang Lixiang rubbed her eyes, wondering if she was seeing things. She just saw Zhou Xufang, that old cadre, jumping and bouncing around.

Jiang Zhi had no intention of sneaking around, and quite openly led her into his flashy sports car.

Ah Wan drove, playing the ‘mute’ perfectly, not disrupting his employer’s flirting, and very considerately drove super slow, advancing at a snail’s pace.

See, what an understanding person he was!

Zhou Xufang, since getting into the car, had not spoken a word, sitting very upright, with eyes straight ahead, her posture like a student paying careful attention in class.

Unlike Jiang Zhi, looking boneless, half-leaning, half-reclining, with his long legs restlessly placed wherever.

“Why aren’t you speaking?” Jiang Zhi looked at her. Since getting into the car, he only had eyes for her.

Zhou Xufang turned to him, blinking.

What should she say?

With her fingers twisting around each other, her palms started to sweat.

This look of someone waiting for a dressing down from the principal made Jiang Zhi itch to tease her, but he refrained, afraid to scare her away.

He shifted his position, still lounging in his seat, but now nudging closer to her. The red in his eyes, coupled with his pale skin, gave him an almost sickly but delicate charm, always looking heartbreakingly appealing.

He asked her, “Do you live alone?”

Zhou Xufang replied, “Yeah.”

Seemingly casually fixating on her, he asked again, “What about your family?”

Without thinking, she said, “I don’t have a family.”

How did she grow up if she didn’t have a family?

Jiang Zhi had originally planned to probe a bit of her background with a couple of questions, but he couldn’t continue, finding it too heart-wrenching to hear.
