Chapter 30: Will Remain Faithful
Chapter 30: Will Remain Faithful
"Ahhhhh!"
Rosela screamed as she threw everything she could lay her hands on inside her cabin.
Eventually, however, her strength left her, leaving her weakly slumping on the floor as she subconsciously palmed the place on her neck where Nikolai bit her. A few more seconds passed, and she slowly buried her face in her palms as she began to sob.
She was surprised when Marlo picked her up, informing her of how Nikolai needed her to feed. It was far from a full moon yet. And although surprised, she immediately went to Nikolai's quarter knowing that he needed her.
It lifted up her spirits every time he fed on her, and seeing how that human snatcher witnessed it happen was only icing on the cake.
She inwardly rejoiced at the terror she saw on Mineah's face. After all, the bjtch finding out her importance to their King that way should've been a slap on their so-called Queen's face.
To think that the human had the nerve to lecture her about her contributions to the Kingdom? If she only knew how great her importance was due to being the only one capable of satiating their Vampire King's rare thirst for human blood.
Yes, she might be a Scion since she harbored an Exordium's blood inside her heart from their former King Arturo, but her human blood still remained flowing in her veins as well… The only blood that their King longed for all these years…
"Why?" Rosela sobbed as the scene where Nikolai vomited out her blood kept on playing before her eyes. "Why did it happen?"
It was an unnerving anomaly for her. In fact, she was so caught off-guard by it that she let Marlon and Luis dragged her out of Nikolai's quarters without even so much as a word.
Gritting her teeth, Rosela balled up her hands so hard that blood started dripping from her palms.@@novelbin@@
"This… can't be!" she wailed.
It was impossible. Nikolai should be hers to begin with, and she refused to let her efforts and sacrifices be put to waste that easily!
Her resolve renewed, Rosela stood up and quickly vanished into the dark night. In her mind's eye, she targeted a small pirate ship not far from their own ready to hunt their next target.
Before long, Rosela landed the ship, her eyes already red and her fangs elongated. She needed to let off some steam, and these idiots were the perfect target for her ire.
"Vampire!"
A man shouted out her arrival. But before he could run away, Rosela was already quick to lunge at him and bite down on his neck. Like what she usually did with her victims, she didn't kill him. Instead, she transferred her venom to the man, turning him to her side.
"You're lucky I'm planning on keeping you," she maniacally hummed as she walked forward, casually approaching the rest of the crew on the deck still aiming their blades at her.
"Now, let's see what-"
She was mid-sentence when an arrow suddenly flew toward her heart. Of course, Rosela swiftly caught it from mid-air.
"That… was rude," she clicked her tongue as her eyes darted toward the one who was almost good enough to hit her heart. Her lips then stretched themselves wide as she vanished into thin air and appeared in front of the man who tried to kill her.
"Do you want to die tonight?" she seductively whispered into his ear. He was trembling hard, and Rosela could clearly hear how loud his heart was thumping just from being near her.
"Please… Don't kill me," the man begged as she raised him into the air by the neck.
Rosela raised an eyebrow. Seeing a hint of potential in the man, she slowly lowered him back to his feet as she hummed, "Alright, I won't kill you. Instead… I'll give you eternity."
With that, Rosela sunk her fangs deep into the man's neck. She didn't care whether she turned all of them into Curbs or Rampants.
What's important was that she got some much-needed stress relief. She just needed to vent her frustrations so that she could return to Nikolai and be good enough to act as if nothing had happened!
After draining the man dry, she cocked her head back, releasing the unconscious man's body and letting him fall onto the ground with a loud thud. Smiling, she then turned to the other crews ready to attack her.
"Looks like I'll have my own feast tonight," she beamed, her red eyes glowing bloody red under the moonlight.

After a few moments of self-indulgence, Rosela deftly wiped the blood smeared on her cheeks and mouth as she looked at her handiwork. She was just done draining the last man left alive who was coincidentally also the captain of the pirate ship, which left her all alone in the drifting ship.
Letting out a satisfied sigh, she tilted her head to the side as she let the cold breeze wash over her face.
"Right on time," she sniggered the moment she heard the familiar clicking tongue of the man behind her.
"I knew I'd find you in this mess," the man with gray hair and burning red eyes hummed.
"Will you be generous enough to clean up after me?" Rosela casually asked. "Take the Curbs. Kill the Rampants together with this measly ship…"
"It's been a while since you've acted like this, Rosela," the man commented with a frown.
Rosela turned to him with her most seductive smile and said, "Come here…"
The man followed, and right then, Rosela pulled him in and hungrily kissed his lips.
For a while, the two of them stayed connected under the moonlight. Eventually, however, the man broke the kiss and gently pushed Rosela away.
"We can't keep going like this, Rosela!" he complained.
Rosela could clearly see the pain in his eyes. Still, she only smiled as she let the strap of her gown slip down, letting her bare naked self be displayed in front of him.
"No other man has had the privilege to touch and own my body except for you," she cooed as she moved to gently caress his face. "Isn't this enough for you not to complain? You're the only man I've ever had."
"But your heart still remains with him," he sighed. "Why can't you just let him be? He's never been yours, to begin with, Rosela. Just forget about him and be with me."
Rosela's face immediately dimmed. "He's mine!"
He should be. She deserved it. She had already succeeded in making her own twin sister vanish. Nothing could stop her now, especially since the current thorn in her side was nothing more than a mere human not even connected with him.
"Leave if you're just here to condemn my actions," she scoffed. "I have enough Curbs to choose from to fulfill my needs and accompany me anyway…"
Despite her supposed lack of need for the man, Rosela's expression lit up the moment she felt his warm embrace wrap her from behind.
"You have my heart, Rosela, and I already vowed that I will never leave your side no matter what happens," the man sincerely stated. "I will remain faithful…"
Turning around to face him, she hummed, "Make me forget about everything that happened tonight then. You're the only one who could do that, Abel."

AN: I wonder if anyone remembers Abel in the previous chapter.
What do you think?
