Chapter 133. Roommates (43) Sincerity in exchange for sincerity

Bai Jiangxin turned around and sized up Jiang Shu from head to toe, “Oh, where is my godson?”

She didn’t mention that she had actually returned at noon and witnessed the boys’ absurd scene. When it came to her son, Bai Jiangxin didn’t meddle much. Although her son had been somewhat unruly as a child, he had become very sensible as he grew up. He could make decisions on both major and minor matters on his own, without making his parents worry. Bai Qiuyi lay still. His consciousness was still a little dazed, but he still understood  Jiang Shu’s words. Jiang Shu raised a hand and rubbed Bai Qiuyi’s brow, “My mom’s back.”

Bai Qiuyi’s groggy mind was immediately frightened awake. Was he going to meet his in-laws now? Although he had made mental preparations before, he was still a little nervous when things came to a close.@@novelbin@@

Bai Qiuyi grabbed Jiang Shu’s hand and asked, “Tell me, should I buy some gifts or something?”

“What for?” Jiang Shu said, “My mother knew you were coming over. She ran into me just now when she returned home, and I told her you were sleeping in the car. She called to say we should eat dinner together.”

“You’re a babe,” Jiang Shu teased him, “but the word ‘good’ has nothing to do with you.”

Bai Qiuyi glanced at him coldly, “You will pay for what you said now.”

Jiang Shu knew that he was not really angry, so he dramatically exclamed, “I’m so scared!”

Bai Jiangxin was a good-looking woman. Such cold beauty, even if she was wearing ordinary homely clothes, couldn’t hide the aura of being upper class. However, despite her cold and serious appearance, she was surprisingly easy to talk to. Bai Qiuyi unconsciously let go of his inner restraint.
