The Echoes of Eternity

The Dragon Emperor's Rebirth 1.3

What do you want, Zhang?" Ling repeated, his voice cold.

Zhang smiled, his expression sly. "Oh, I just wanted to remind you that you're not the only one with power, Ling," he said, his eyes glinting with malice. "You may have the Dragon Emperor's Heart, but I have the power of the Seven Realms at my disposal."

Ling's grin grew wider, his eyes flashing with excitement. "Oh, Zhang, you're so predictable," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You think you can take me on? Bring it on, old man."

Zhang's face turned red with rage, his eyes bulging with anger. "How dare you!" he exclaimed, his voice thundering through the air.

But before he could attack, a figure appeared at Ling's side, a tall, statuesque woman with long, flowing hair. Her eyes were cold, her expression glaciers.

"Ah, Zhang, I think you've forgotten something," she said, her voice dripping with ice.

Zhang's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on the woman. "What are you talking about, Mu?" he growled, his voice low and menacing.

Mu smiled, her expression cold. "You've forgotten the agreement, Zhang," she said, her voice dripping with disdain. "You've forgotten the rules of the game."

Zhang's face fell, his expression shocked. "No, Mu, you wouldn't," he said, his voice trembling.

Mu's smile grew wider, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, but I would, Zhang," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "And I will."

With that, the air was filled with a blinding flash of light, and the battle began.
