Chapter 243: Luminarch Caches of the Cosmos! II
The Unweaver.
A terrifying nickname for a Cosmic Filament entity!
And Alexander asked for more information about this target as Arthur waved his hand and brought up multiple illusory screens.
The Crimson Ruinborn.
Niharyx.
What appeared on the illusory screens was the massive visage of a man who seemed to be made of pure starlight.
His entire body shimmered with a purple-crimson hue.
His skin was neither white nor black, but radiated the stellar brilliance of the cosmos themselves as if his very flesh was formed from an innumerable number of universes stacked together.
His eyes were filled with crushing darkness. Voids that looked as if they could devour all things, collapsing them under their own unbearable gravity.
Beneath his feet, a swirling crimson sea of ruin hovered.
Across his chest, gems too cosmic to comprehend radiated a terrifying glimmer of power.
"He is a cold and calculating creature, with only his own interests at heart. He first appeared to me as a friend, with a completely different personality and disposition. Only after some time did he fully unveil who he truly was. He has grasped the Cosmic Tao of Ruination and the Primordial Cosmic Tao, as well as he holds a lineage that few in this Infinite Cosmic Tower understand…a Fallen Starborn Primordial, believed to be born from the very weavings of the Infinite Cosmic Tower itself. This is the entity I must have vengeance upon, the one I trade my Legacy and these Nine Luminarch Caches of the Cosmos for!"
WAA!
Alexander stared at the projected image of the monstrous being and nodded, then waved his hand to sweep away the blinding orbs of the Luminarch Caches.
The White Ascender looked at him calmly, then released weavings of the Primordial Cosmic Tao from his palms.
"If you swear upon the bindings of this Cosmic Tao that within a million years, you shall do all you can to avenge me and decimate the Unweaver—Niharyx…the rest is yours."
…!
A wild obsession sparked in the White Ascender's eyes.
Alexander met his gaze calmly as a tendril of Primordial energy extended toward him.
It looked like the final, remaining reservoir of power within this ancient being. Alexander's hands reached down toward the tendrils of primordial authority, watching as they wrapped around his arm, winding up to his elbow before binding to him like a rope.
The old man watched this with an expression of weary relief before he let out a low, sad laugh.
"I know… I may not even need to do something like this. But my heart cannot rest unless I leave at least one thread behind. Something to reason with myself. Something to tell me that one day, I might be avenged even if I won't be alive to witness it. My existence…will disperse within the next month as it's an impossibility for me to ever see a shred of vengeance. But with this, at least I can fade away without too many regrets."
An expression of sadness overwhelmed him before he straightened up slowly and pointed toward the white-gold throne at the center of the grand archive.
"Please. I'll give you time to become acquainted with my legacy. Or… would you prefer to experience the Luminarch Caches of the Cosmos first? The legacy I left behind is more suited for those at the Universal Filament Realm or even Cosmic Realm as the Cosmic Gems within may not be something your level of power can currently handle."
…!
Alexander raised an eyebrow at the suggestion that there were gems he couldn't socket.
Whether they turned out to be Cosmic or Cosmic Filament Gems, he had no doubt that his Enneagram could handle them.
But right now, he was far more interested in the Luminarch Caches of the Cosmos. He responded with a nod, waving his hand to bring one of them forth.
"I will experience a different lifetime first before I obtain the legacy."
His decision was made!
Arthur smiled, nodding with approval.
"Mmm, in reality, just a second, an hour, or even a day may pass while an entire lifetime unfolds within the Luminarch Cache. This is one of the most prized treasures I salvaged using the final remnants of my existence- something the Unweaver couldn't destroy. Depending on your talent and the body you obtain in that lifetime…you may even reach Universal Filament or forge your own Cosmos. Go, without worry. I will stand guard for you for as long as my weavings remain."
The White Ascender promised, and Alexander simply nodded before pouring his authority into the Luminarch Cache of the Cosmos.
The moment he did, he felt his weavings of existence and very consciousness pulled into the cache.
Even his Enneagram buzzed, an illusory form of it following him inside!
Moments later.
This clone of Alexander felt an intense wave of drowsiness as he sat into a meditative position, falling entirely into the Cache!
—
In another lifetime.
Alexander's consciousness flickered.
He opened his eyes to find himself inside the body of a…non-human lifeform.
He raised his hands and stared.
His body was forged of solid blue stone. Towering and bulky, and at least ten meters tall.
As he looked upon himself, memories flowed in.
He was a Cerulean Golem Druid, living in a galaxy brimming with life. Currently, his strength was at the rank of Ruler.
A mere Ruler!
Yet, his stony blue hand touched his chest, and a wide smile spread across his face.
On that stony chest, he felt something.
An illusory Enneagram- something that should not have come with him!
And within its weavings…the full comprehension and assimilation of all Covenants of Nature and all Taos resided.
All of them at that!
Effectively…did this not mean he had an entire lifetime to wield the ridiculous abilities of the Enneagram to master Taos, reforge Empyreal Galaxies, and Supermassive Empyreal Universes?
He couldn't help but grin.
Surrounded by an island of blue rocks and vegetation, and a vast sea in the distance…he raised his stone-carved hands and whispered.
"Let us test the limits of this Luminarch Cache of the Cosmos, shall we?"
…!
What do you think?
