Chapter 133 Liora's Special Ability
Arin had an idea that Liora's Special Ability was related to copying, but he didn't know that it was this broad.
'She can use all the Special Abilities of all the Progenitors?' Arin thought.
"But there's a limitation," Roxanne suddenly said.
Arin looked at her. "What is the limitation?"
"The Special Abilities aren't as powerful as the original owners'," Roxanne replied. "After copying the Special Ability, the strength of that Ability will be reduced, so they can still use their Special Ability to their fullest potential while she can only use it at a certain level of strength."
"I see..." Arin said.
He understood what she meant.
"The more she masters her Special Ability, the stronger the Special Abilities she copied will be," Roxanne said.
Arin nodded his head in understanding.
'Which means that if she further masters her Special Ability, then she'll be even stronger,' Arin thought. 'Because the Special Abilities she has copied will be stronger.'
It was slightly surprising that Roxanne was telling him the details of Liora's Special Ability, but he didn't even bother asking her about it.
"Is there any other limitation?" Arin asked.
"Yes," Roxanne replied. "There's one more."
"She can only use one copied Special Ability at a time," Roxanne said. "So if she's using Lord Darius's Special Ability, she won't be able to use the Special Ability of any other Progenitor until she stops using Lord Darius's Special Ability."
"I get it....." Arin said.
'It would've been crazy if she was able to use all the Special Abilities of all the Progenitors at the same time,' Arin thought.
Arin suddenly realized something as he squinted his eyes, staring at Roxanne.
"Does that mean...?"
Roxanne smiled, already understanding what Arin wanted to ask.
"Yes," she replied to the question Arin was about to ask. "Since I'm Lord Liora's student, she has already taught me a lot of things, including her Special Ability."
"So, I can also use the Special Abilities of all the Progenitors," she added.
"Now that's surprising," Arin muttered.
What was surprising wasn't the fact that she was also able to copy Special Abilities—after all, she was Liora's student. Instead, it was the fact that she could also use the Special Abilities of all the Progenitors.
And this led to Arin's next question.
"Did all the Progenitors just allow Liora to copy their Special Abilities?" Arin asked. "And how were you able to copy their Special Abilities?"
Before Roxanne could start talking, Arin gestured for her to come sit on the bed.
She lowered her head slightly before she walked towards the bed and sat down.
"According to Lord Liora, it took a while, but she eventually copied all their Special Abilities," Roxanne began. "It caused a major argument among the Progenitors, but in the end, they all realized something that made them allow her to copy their Special Abilities."
Arin listened to Roxanne without interrupting.
"They realized that if they didn't allow her to copy their Special Abilities, then the Progenitors wouldn't be equal," Roxanne said.
"But if she copied all their Special Abilities, then they would all be on equal ground, without one being neglected," she added. "They also approved because of the respect between Progenitors and because they knew about the limitations of her Special Ability."
'Hmmm, fair enough,' Arin thought.
"Though," Roxanne continued, "like she told me, Vaelric was the only one who seemed dissatisfied with the decision."
"Did she tell you a specific reason why he seemed dissatisfied?" Arin asked.
"No," Roxanne replied.
"As for me," she continued, "the other Progenitors do not know that I can use their Special Abilities."
"They'll kill you?" Arin asked as he glanced at her.
Roxanne chuckled. "There's a very high probability of that happening."
"I see..."
Roxanne continued. "I was able to copy their Special Abilities in a....uhm, unpleasant way."
A slight frown appeared on her face as she spoke, making Arin realize that it might actually be an unpleasant memory.
"I copied their Special Abilities through their students," Roxanne said. "Each of them has at least three students who are able to use their Special Abilities."
She furrowed her brows as she continued. "I had to....uhm.... I had to..."
The words couldn't seem to come out of her mouth, so Arin decided to help her.
"Seduce?" he whispered.
Roxanne laughed nervously as she glanced at Arin. "Err... Something like that."
"Though, I just became close to them, and just like me and Lord Liora planned, they quickly fell in love with me, and that's when I used the chance to copy the Special Abilities."
'Now that's one hell of a method,' Arin thought.
"They're not as experienced or observant as the Progenitors, so they didn't even realize that I had already copied their Special Abilities," Roxanne said.
Arin noticed that Roxanne was glancing at him, embarrassment clearly evident on her face. Discover exclusive tales on My Virtual Library Empire
"I think she's concerned about how you'll look at her from now on," Seraphine said. "Because with what she just said, that means she has kissed three boys."
Arin squinted his eyes. "To be honest, I really don't care about that."
"She didn't do it for fun," he added. "She did it for a clear purpose, and she accomplished what she wanted."
He glanced at Roxanne. "At least, you used that method to get what you wanted, right?"
Immediately, Roxanne heard what Arin said, her eyes instantly lit up. "Yes, Lord Arin. I'm glad you understand."@@novelbin@@
Arin nodded his head.
"And as for Lord Sylas," Roxanne said, "Lord Liora copied his Special Ability without any of the other Progenitors objecting, and I was able to copy his Special Ability in secret."
"In secret?"
"Yes. Since he recently became a Progenitor and didn't have any students, I had to copy it from him directly."
Arin really wanted to know how that was possible, and thankfully, Roxanne was already giving the details.
"After approval from the other Progenitors, Lord Liora took him to another room, and using Lord Serak's Special Ability, I was able to teleport to that room."
"Since his eyes were closed and he was frightened, he didn't realize that I was in the room and had already copied his Special Ability," she added.
Arin understood all that she said. Now, he had a detailed knowledge of Liora's Special Ability, and even what Roxanne was able to do. And since Roxanne could use all the Special Abilities of the Progenitors, he would be able to know their Special Abilities through her.
"Hmm, I understand," Arin said as he stood up. "Thank you."
Without waiting for her reply, he walked into the bathroom and shut the door.
"Oh, th...thank you, Lord Arin," Roxanne stammered.
She was so flustered and surprised that Arin thanked her that she replied late.
She smiled, stood up, and began walking towards the window. 'Lord Liora..... You were right.'
A few minutes later, Arin exited the bathroom. He glanced at Roxanne, who was still staring outside even though the day was already getting dark. 'Even though she was unable to hide her Blood Energy, she would still have been able to walk in the daytime. After all, she has Sylas's Special Ability.'
Putting that at the back of his mind, he walked towards his drawer. 'I'm very sure there's something formal here.'
Arin could tell through the memories of the original Arin. He remembered that formal clothes were among the ones he had brought with him to the Academy.
"More like Mum forced the original Arin to bring them with him," Arin muttered.
His mind drifted toward his family for a second, recalling their faces. "I'll soon see them."
For some reason—maybe due to the emotions of the original Arin—when he thought about his family, he felt a certain kind of warmth inside… a strange one.
"I miss them..."
Though Arin couldn't completely discard the fact that his family was crazy.
"I just hope they've stopped their crazy behavior when Lina and I return home."
And the day they would return home wasn't far anymore.
Arin searched the drawer, and within seconds, he found a suit and trousers. "Perfect..."
He glanced at the corner of the drawer where a pair of black shoes was present. "Ah, at least I have something to wear."
"Thankfully, you won't have to attend the ceremony tomorrow in your school uniform... Hahaha!"
"Tch..."
Arin lay down on the bed and brought out the strange orb he had taken from Valtor's body from his inventory.
The black smoke was still swirling inside.
"I still don't know what this is," Arin muttered. "And I can't even sense anything from it. But since it was taken from Valtor, there's a high chance that the black smoke inside is Dark Energy."
Still getting no answer from the system about it, he decided to put it back inside his inventory.
He had already achieved some things today, like the Shadow Seed, which gave him a new ally.
"Now that I remember, the system mentioned Leon's new race," Arin muttered as he opened the system screen to check it.
Tomorrow would also be a busy day since it was the day of the ceremony...
What do you think?
