Chapter 152 The ‘God' V/S The Devil
"Holy shit! That's so awesome!" And Quin's eyes were glistening as he looked at me.
"Are there more players there? What kind of world do you have there? I mean like, is there magic? Or something like a fairytale or something? Man that sounds so…" and then he kept on going asking dozens of questions about dozens of things.
I answered him honestly about my own server and a bit more. I said that there was a guy who had contacted me and was trying to do something rather strong. Though, I didn't tell him anything more in that regard and instead went on with how the other servers had different types of beings like elves, dwarves and the variety.
Another thing that I hid from him was about the Fate Weavers and the bit about the planet Zarraf that I had known. It wasn't something that I knew in great detail about plus even if I do, I guess, there was little point in telling him about that. Being a person with Mythical Gift, he may get to the point where he will be able to meet others in the server as they go up in the Tower Floors, but going beyond that… It's not that easy.
-Clank!
-Clank!
-Whoosh!
As we reached the top, we found 4 people standing at the entrance, facing heaven with their backs at the staircase. Two of them were the demons and the others were the archangels. One of each side was heavily injured, yet all four of them were calmly standing there without harming the other party.
"Yuriel?" Michael spoke as he looked at the angel girls standing there. She seemed pretty strong with her energy levels much higher than the other three.
"Michael? You are late… though it doesn't really matter now," Yuriel spoke as the three of us reached up and saw the source of the sound that was coming. Two beings, one clouded in darkness and another one in light, were clashing their blades against each other.
-Whoosh!
The one clouded in darkness was fast. He ran around the white man, trying to get a clear opportunity to attack. His eyes were locked on, not wasting even a single moment, he used all sorts of dark magic balls that constantly were attacking the man in white.
-Whoosh!
And finding the chance, the black man teleported close behind the white man with sharpened claws reaching for his stomach from the back.
-Clang!
But they were blocked as metallic scales appeared at the same place where the devil was attacking. The man in white, the God, sighed as he looked at the devil and spoke,
"It's futile. No matter what you do, you cannot win against me. It is in your destiny."
Then he raised his hand to attack the devil.
-Whoosh!
The devil teleported again, about a dozen meters away from God. Though God simply cut down the air where the devil was present before. Discover hidden content at My Virtual Library Empire
-Thwack!
And a huge cut appeared on the devil's chest while his black blood gushed out of his body. Falling on his knees, he then slowly healed himself before glaring at the God.
"Fuck you! You are nothing but a hypocrite!" He shouted at God as he continued," you talk about equality as you wipe my entire race. You talk about peace while you wage war against anyone who doesn't think you are a God."
"Is there anything wrong with that?" God spoke as a matter of fact. He looked at his hand, his eyes seemed to be looking at the entire world through his eyes, as he continued,
"I exist to rule. And the world exists to be ruled by me. I don't understand what's so wrong with it."
"THEN WHY ARE YOU DESTROYING THIS WORLD!! WHY ARE YOU SO HELL BENT IN EVERYTHING??" The devil shouted as his energy reached the peak of what he could muster, before he created a blade with that power. Perhaps it was the last blow, the deciding factor of this world's survival?
"Because I want to. This world has become too monotonous. And I am tired. You may not know but I cannot die as long as this world exists. So, for me to perish, the world should too," was the answer that God gave.
"Is this what we worked for? Is this our fate too?" Yuriel seemed sad while one of the demons chuckled as he answered,
"Only the strong survive. We were just too weak."
"Hey Crow, what should we do? Are we gonna fight them?" Quin asked as he cracked his wrists, but I pondered a bit before looking at him. The others were a bit surprised wondering who Quin and I were.
"No. I don't think we would need to personally interfere," I spoke as I looked at that Devil preparing for his final stance. If Quin took charge, he may or may not kill the God all by himself. But if God really is connected to this world, then that would end the world, making things even harder for us.
"I am going to kill you and save everyone on this planet," the devil spoke with great conviction in his voice.
"You are only going to hasten the death of this world," the God spoke as a matter of factly.
"How amusing," I smiled.
[Would you like to save this world?]
I sent a message to the Devil with a contract. Though this time, it wasn't a personal message but a public message that everyone can see. All the details of the contract were present there.
The devil stopped.@@novelbin@@
The god looked.
The angels and the demons observed.
A sudden confusion and shock appeared on everyone's face, and the only one who understood what was going on was Quin, who smiled at me.
"To ask the devil to sell his soul… how ironic," Quin looked at that message with an amused smile before he asked me,"did you do that?"
I shook my head before answering,"nope. That's my contractor."
What do you think?
