The Extra’s Survival: Logging into the Game Master System!

Chapter 154 [Secret's and Knowledge!]

[Adrian's POV!]

He stood there without any expression on his face. His eyes were just simply staring at me. And as I kept wondering who or what he was, he then began walking towards me.

Since Quin has already used his skill, I don't think he would be able to harm me. But even if he somehow bypasses that, I guess it's not much of a problem given how I can see through it easily with my future prediction.

"Tell me. Interesting one. What is your purpose here? What brings you to this dying world? And why exactly are you trying to salvage this situation?" He asked me.

A tinge of curiosity appeared on his face as he kept trying to analyze me, only to fail to do so. Though rather annoyed, an amused smile appeared on his face, making him look at me with even more enthusiasm than before.

As for the answers to his questions…

"My purpose is to save this planet. And I guess, I was just a bit bored so I tried to see if I could do something interesting here?" I spoke with slight honesty.

Even though for the most part, I was here for my contractee, I guess I mostly did it because I was bored and had nothing more to go on.

It was only the first of the servers or worlds that I was going to visit. There were many more to come and this was merely a start of the journey.

In a way it was a side quest for me that somehow carried a bit more importance than I wanted it to have.

"To save the planet because you were bored, huh? So I take it as you being another God then?" He asked. His eyes swayed as he took a look at Quin for a moment before turning back to me.

His hands at his back, he stood there. Wearing a white robe as he took a step away from me. And then another. And another.

And somehow, for some reason, without even noticing, without even doubting, we too began walking behind him. It should have been more proper to just stay at the same place as I did and do nothing but talk from there. Yet it felt proper to walk, as if it were the most natural thing I could do.

"Close but no. I am not a God. I am but a mere human who has attained what others could only wish for," I spoke out freely as Quin noticed me before turning towards God as he too walked with us.

The devil observed as he looked at God. He wanted to try more despite knowing it was futile. And despite knowing it was futile, he wanted to give everything he had to protect this world of his.@@novelbin@@

But he paused still. Observing us as he slowly tried analyzing me and Quin. And questions popped in his mind as he failed to find a single thing about us. So in the end, he stood there, simply observing the situation, wondering where this conversation was going to go. And what would the outcome be of this.

"You aren't? I was pretty sure, you were though," the God was surprised as he looked at me before turning to the sky above us. His eyes closed for a moment before he opened them up again and asked,

"Tell me mr… Crowley was it? Tell me. What do you see in the sky above? The dark never ending night that encompasses the stars? Or do you see a wall of heaven? Or something else totally?"

Confused by what he meant, I looked up. The starry sky felt more beautiful the more I looked at it. And even though I tried to see through it, I failed to find anything other than what was already visible there.

"A starry sky?" I spoke as I kept trying even more. Maybe there was something that I couldn't see? Could be possible. I wasn't a real God to begin with. Just a normal guy with a bunch of broken skills.

"Oh! You see it, huh? I guess, at least I was half correct," The God spoke. But he wasn't looking at me but at the guy beside me. Quin, his face didn't look amazed or enthralled like mine, but instead he had that serious look on his face. The face one makes when they find themselves standing against a foe that they cannot defeat but they have to. The kind of face that the devil was making when he was fighting against a God.

"You are crossing the lines here," Quin spoke as he looked at the God but the God in turn just smiled as he explained," it is not I who is doing that but the ones who want this universe to be eaten. If I kill this planet, there is a chance that this world would be integrated with the tower itself, but if I fail to do so and they… eat up this planet, then there would be nothing left to reincarnate."

Quin's eyes were focused at the sky, while he had his hand placed on his sheathed blade all the time. The God simply smiled as he then turned to me and asked,

"I guess, you really aren't a God then? Though it makes things even more interesting. A being who is not even a divine being is able to cross planes, and challenge the authority of those who sit at the top. Just who exactly are you… just what are you, Crowley?"

His eye were focused on me. He knew that he won't be able to defeat me, but in turn he also knew that I won't be able to defeat him either.

'I must admit. I underestimated him… Or did I underestimate SS-Grades and SSS-Grade for that matter?' I thought I should reassess a lot of things later. If the beings or the heroes back in the tower were as crazy as this God, then things are much more grave than I was expecting it to be.

"I guess we all have our fair shares of surprises, huh?" I spoke as I saw that this conversation was getting nowhere. Though as I was about to wonder what should I do next, it was Quin that spoke,

"That bastard was right again, huh? Well. I guess it kind of makes sense… It makes me angry nonetheless. Hey God, or whatever your name is. Tell me what kind of deal you make with those eternals? Those bitches sure know how to poke with their nose where it doesn't belong."

And now… I felt rather left out of this conversation. A side character. An extra here.

Hmmm…. Not bad.

'I should let them steer the conversation on their own and see where all this goes. Maybe I won't have to do anything at all here,' a smile formed on my face as I looked at their interaction.

"So you do know about their existence, huh? This makes things easier for me," the God spoke as he looked at Quin before continuing," to be honest it was a simple and honest deal. For me to carry me anda my entire planet into a tower of some sorts. I think it was the Tower of Death or something? We were to live there eternally. And since the alternative was to be eaten by… that… I decided to take this chance. Maybe I will be able to break free from the shackles later on?"

"There were more ways to break from this," Quin spoke as he narrowed his eyes before he added,"if you do this you are going to be their slave for eternity."

"Since you have met eternals, you must understand their strength. Killing one may be possible, but killing all of them? Even I can't do it. There was no choice to begin with. Unless of course you know something about it," the God seemed to be hopeful now. His eyes looked at Quin with slight hope.

Something that I didn't expect to see given how prideful he was a few moments ago. But looking at him right now, it made me wonder if it was all a facade? Or perhaps how he is behaving now is a facade?

"They can't be killed by ordin means. There are only… 14 beings that know how to kill them," Quin spoke with a slight irritation in his voice. Though God wasn't unhappy even in the slightest bit.

"14? Is there any way I can meet them?" The God spoke. There was hope in his eyes. And soon enough, that hope was crushed thoroughly as Quin answered.

"The 10 Primordials. 2 Fate Weavers. A Fake. And lastly the Death's Disciple," he spoke with slight annoyance as he added,

"The Primordials are the immortal creatures that existed from the time of creation. The Fate Weavers… Well there are 10 of them, but only the first and the last one know how to kill the eternals. The Fake is… I don't know anything about him other than he is a Half Primordial himself. And lastly… the Death's Disciple… I don't think he will help you given his… own work… that he is busy with."

And that's when I realised… Quin… knew too much.
