Chapter 705: Chapter 705: Supreme Saint Hall

The fox tail sent the Beast-killing Guards’ leader flying. Blood gushed out copiously as several Demon Kings ambushed him, ripping him to shreds.

“Where are we?” Fang Lin and his companions woke up from the darkness, scanning their surroundings with alertness and tension.

They were immersed in darkness, unable to see anything, which made them fear they had gone blind.

Suddenly, rays of light shone causing everyone to wince from the sudden brightness that made their eyes adjust painfully.

Once their eyes had adjusted, they realised they were in a grand hall.

Fang Lin gritted his teeth and sat on the ground. He was seriously injured, with fissures all over his body. After ingesting a pill, he began to heal his injuries.

The others weren’t too bad. Though they were startled to suddenly find themselves in such a place, they were mostly uninjured and okay.

“Don’t act rashly,” Mei Yingxue instructed the others.

At this moment, a cold voice rang out, “You are the second group to enter this place. Welcome. After stepping into this palace, you no longer rule your fate. Only after passing the test will you be allowed to live.”

The group’s expressions turned tense upon hearing the voice.

“Where are we? And who are you?” Fang Lin asked sternly.

“This place is referred to as the Supreme Saint Hall. As for me, I am merely a servant guarding this place.” The cold voice rang out, void of any emotion, as if it were dismissing Fang Lin and his team.

“Supreme Saint Hall?” Everyone was perplexed, they had never heard of it before.

The cold voice answered, “It’s a place to cultivate the supreme. All of you are to take a test. If you pass, you may leave. If you fail, you will remain here forever.”

Hearing this, everyone’s faces turned grave. They had been randomly brought here and now they had to face some test. Anyone in their shoes would be resentful.

“Yes.” The cold voice said, to everyone’s surprise.

“That’s good. We don’t want to take the test, could you kindly let us out?” Wang Erdan said, breathing out a sigh of relief.

“If you refuse the test, you will lose your value of existence. I will eradicate you on the spot.” The cold voice said, this time with a hint of mockery.

Wang Erdan was stunned on the spot. The faces of the others also turned grim. They were being forced to take the test.

If they didn’t take the test, they would be sentenced to death. If they did take it, only after passing could they leave. No matter what, they could only accept it.

Fang Lin remained silent, focusing on healing his injuries. Regardless of the test that would follow, he needed to get himself in the best condition.

“Could we know what the test is like?” Mei Yingxue asked.

Upon hearing this, Fang Lin’s eyes sparkled, and without any further inquiries, he continued healing.

The others, however, looked worried. They had no idea of what was at the end of the golden path. They could only leave after passing the test, which was akin to being trapped here.

A young disciple from the Five Elements Sect secretly took out the Message Transmitting Jade Slip and tried to communicate with the outside world, but obviously failed. This place was isolated from the outside world, so the Jade Slip was useless.

“Why is it you?” Everyone exclaimed in surprise.
