94 – Wakandan’s Worries

94 – Wakandan’s Worries

The sudden appearance of a foreign brick building in the center of Wakanda's commercial district caused the Wakandans to panic. Within moments, the foreign building was surrounded by the military forces of Wakanda: flying ships, soldiers with energy shields, and soon enough, even their Black Panther, the symbol of Wakanda's Protector.

Yet when said Protector was thrown out of the building as soon as they entered, the Wakandans panicked more. In mere hours, a bubble shield and multiple fortifications were constructed around the foreign structure, as a Garrison was set in place to watch the store at all times.

Even after two or three days passed, not one bit of movement from the building, then the Princess, Shuri, discovered who and what appeared within the confines of Wakanda.

...

Gathered around a chamber, many people shouted while most of the Royal Family sat back, contemplating what to do.

"Father, what are we going to do?" Prince T'Challa finally asked, breaking the silence over the Royal Family.

"What can we do?" T'Chaka retorted, his wrinkled face frowning as he was the first Wakandan King to have such a thing happen to Wakanda while under his watch. What would his Ancestors do?

Just before the argument between his trusted advisors could get worse, and T'Chaka would need to intervene, his beloved daughter and Princess of Wakanda, Shuri, barged into the chamber.

"Father!" The Princess called out.

"Shuri?" The King answered, confused, knowing full well that his Daughter would much rather be in her lab than involve herself in the politics of Wakanda.

"Look at this!" She exclaimed, bringing up a device in her hands and pressing a few buttons. In mere moments, a holographic screen showing several news articles, videos, and countless images, all featuring the same store that suddenly appeared within Wakanda itself.

"There are reports from across the United States of America of this same exact store appearing, with many reports also saying that all of those stores are actually just one single structure that is all connected somehow. Whatever this place is, those that enter are able to obtain things never seen before, and all from a mysterious creature that called the Store home," Shuri explained before bringing up various photos and videos of the creature in question, Zerref.

"That's the creature that attacked me," T'Challa spoke up.

The King slowly got up from his throne. Walking forward and looking over the countless screens that floated in the air, the King's frown deepened.

"What is it?" the King finally asked, looking at the clearly inhuman creature floating wordlessly above the plaza's air.

Shuri was the first to speak up: "We do not know. However, some reporters interviewed him and posted the interview online."

"Bring it up," The King waved his hand, getting a nod from his daughter.

The first thing the Royal Family, the Advisors, and the Representatives saw was the creature summoning a man with a burst of light.

"What in the name of the Ancestors?" Someone spoke, baffled by what appeared on the holographic screen before them.

It first started with what could be described as spatial or reality manipulation. The room expanded, shifted, and changed as the reporters stepped into the store. The scene was so sudden that no one within the room had time to react before the entire interior of the supposed store completely changed from what it once was, becoming larger and grander.

"That's...that's not possible," Shuri said in disbelief, causing silence to overtake the room. Her words were concerning, as Shuri was one of the best scientists in Wakanda despite her young age. She was a brilliant Scientist, rivaling the greatest minds on Earth, such as Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Hank Pym, Lex Luthor, Ray Palmer, and many other notable Geniuses of Earth. To top it all off, Shuri was a Genius of Earth's most advanced nation!

Sure, these other geniuses had their own unique technologies and were masters of their respective fields of study, but even then, there was no way anyone on Earth could do what had just occurred before their eyes. Then there was the creature's appearance, an appearance that could only be considered alien, especially with the supposed Black Hole in its chest. As they watched the interview, they only gained more and more questions, including how an entity such as it claims to have been born from a literal star.

As they watched the interview, including the realistic simulator, the fact that the creature could bring others into its mind

, and countless other things, a new video of the Cafe appeared above.

Stepping out from the right was a man wreathed in gold flames. His body was covered in bandages, with the only visible skin being around his eyes, and even then, it was obvious his flesh was burned. The bandaged man carried a gun and bible. He was fully clothed and wore a vest over his shirt. He was covered from head to toe in dirt and grime and looked not to have bathed in a very, very long time.

The room was in silence from everything they had seen.

The creature must be an Alien. The technology shown by the Aline did not exist on Earth.

"Father, what will we do?" Shuri finally asked, her expression grave.

"What can we do?" T'Chaka retorted, having sat back down in his chair long ago from the exhaustion that overtook them. This alien creature threatened their existence, their very way of life, and if they did not do something, it was only a matter of time till Wakanda's true strength was revealed to the world.

"We must destroy it!" someone shouted, raising yet another shouting battle between everyone.

Before it could get worse, Shuri spoke up, "What if we confronted the creature? Try to make some sort of deal?"

"Negotiate?" One of the advisors responded in disgust, "Why should we negotiate with that...thing."

"And how do you suggest we go about it? If what it speaks is true, then it could effortlessly destroy our world, us along with it," T'Challa finally said, clearly frustrated.

"It lies! Like all outsiders!" The advisor responded, getting a round of frowns from the Royal Family.

Everyone looked to their King, who sat in silence despite the arguments before eventually sighing, "We do what we must to protect ourselves; we cannot allow the outside world to learn the truth about Wakanda and our Vibranium."

He looked over to his son, "I will go, and I will go alone."

Everyone from the King's wife, son, and daughter to the representatives and advisors shouted their disapproval, trying to convince the old King to change his mind.

"Enough! I made up my mind," The old King stated with a grimm face.
